    I'm listening to all the advice. I like good advice....especially the things done with non expensive parts. For a combo that does not need more than a stock valve spring, you get the added bonus of not having to compress the heavier spring. The stock cam has a very soft valve closing, enhancing valve train stability even with stock rockers and pushrods. I think there should be many advantages to using stock parts when you give them good circumstances to function in; I really like what you have done with them.

    I will repost, I liked the video.
    I believe in gear also and I like the Centerforce Clutches.
    They are also some of the best balanced clutch assemblies.
    Good information.
    Have a great day.
    Take care, Ed.

      Yeah i have had no issues with the centerforce clutch. I can't complain it's stuck with me for a good while. We're gonna try a spec stage 1 behind a windser we're doing w a tkx so we'll see.

    Hey, thanks for your advice. I got a completely stock coupe but I’m gonna get into the 12s this year. I’m determined I have weight removal to do this year over the winter also I’m 31 SPLINE everything in the back w 410s on a 26x10 mt , these are these are my mods over the winter. I got tubular, upper and and lowers all new suspension in the back I’m really focussing on the rear end of this car to get the power planted get this thing to launch hard without being scared something breaking I really appreciate this video. I want to get this car in 12s on a stock set up fully stock motor and my tracks by water I live in Ontario Canada look it up on the map the track ST Thomas dragstrip. So I should be able to get this ET in the fall other than that I’m running a hooker long tubes full 3 inch exhaust into an ex pipe into 30 series dumped flow masters that’s basically my combo and I’m gonna run this year and a full weight removal sorry for the big rant

      Def capable to go 12s, im assuming a stickshift car? Are your control arms solid bushing? Youll def want all solid stuff back there esp if its a stickshift car. Also do some torque box reonforcements aswell while everythings out. Keep me updated would like to know how you make out with it! Good luck

      @89Whitehorse 8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes stick, and all solid uppers and lowers. One thing I would like to ask you is what do you mean by drilling out your front struts could you explain more?@@GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover

    • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover
      @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover  8 месяцев назад +1

      @Bob-Pye litterally drill a hole in the strut to make it very loose. I only did that because my struts were seized up. If you have a decent working front strut then theres no reason to do it.

    I wanted to add something to the smog block off at the back of the heads what I did is like just cut the tube that goes to the smog pump and I capped it and left it all bolted up. You don’t have to take them out of the back of the headsimple one clamp and a cap

    • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover
      @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover  5 месяцев назад

      I usually cut them as you did and flip them so the flat side is against the back of the head and use silicone to seal em. But either way works

    Hey, how are you doing? I just wanted to ask you another question came to my mind the other day what is the water pump from? What year of car? It’s got the different direction so you can run the belt on the other side of the pulley so it’s pulling down, is it out of a crown Vic and if so, what year? Because I’m running a manual rack now and I’m going to run a Shorty belt crank water pump alternator

    Adam I left you a nice post last night.
    I thought that I would see if you responded.
    I see that the post was removed.
    Frankly I do not understand why?
    Anyways I was wondering if you could tell me why that is?

    Question about the 65 mm I have a 75 mm sitting on my shelf. Can I use it on a stock set up? I do have long tubes I do have a custom 4 inch air intake with your opinion. I’d like to use what I have should I port match it?

    • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover
      @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover  8 месяцев назад +1

      Youll need a throttle body spacer if its going on a factory 5.0 intake, port matching will def help it if youre able to do so but make sure you transition all the way into the throat of the plenum the best you can. A 75mm may not help a stock setup but wont hurt anything to try it other than your time. Just dont be surprised if it doesnt pick up anything.. id almost garuntee the porting would matter more than the throttle body

    I have team z relocated upper arms. Do you recommend keeping them or going to standard style upper arms and relocating the lowers?
    Does it make a difference?
    Some say the upper relocation kits make the upper control arms too short in length.

      Depends on your ride height if the car is lowered down then yes, if its not liwered than you dont really need them however you can manipulate your angles for instant center. I like anti squat so i like setting my angles so the rear of the car lifts up

  • @B88C123
    @B88C123 7 месяцев назад

    Is there a reason why you don't just use Southside/UMI lift bars?

    • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover

      I have used them, but i like having adjustability and lighter parts lol

      @@GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover why do people say the lift bars are no good for faster cars? Your car seems to work great with the brackets.

    • @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover
      @GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover  7 месяцев назад +1

      @bobbycoscia5795 people who say lift bars dont work, dont know suspension and how it works. Some people have preference for squat nuetral or anti squat but personally ive gone from squat suspension to anti squat suspension and picked up 2 tenths. So ill always believe in antisquat or lift bars. The lift action is from your bar angle. Maybe ill make a video about this to explain it better

    Great vid, i’m thinking of getting my e7s refreshed with upgraded springs new valves as I’m gonna run a b cam Other than that the car stock everything except for long tubes, full off-road exhaust, dumped 410 gear 26 x 10 tire I want to get it into the 12s this year 13.2at 103 best last yr in fall , but this winter I took the front bumper out. I’m hacking the sway bars out removing mostly all accessories that I don’t use. I’m hoping I can break into the 1290s on a stock set up. Any thought on this? Sorry car is 89 5speed coupe mass air lowest options

      103 mph is capable of doing 12s. Just need to leave w the car hard and make it 60ft well. Suspension and the weight should get you well into the 12s. My ine mustang went 12.70s and was factory throttle body to pan with shorty headers bbk x pipe mufflers and tail pipes w stock suspension and 4.30 gears w 28" slicks
