We are re-posting this episode because its such a great one and it never got the love it deserves. Gilles did an awesome job and after so many people have seen his 1968 Mustang restore it would be great if people can watch his foxbody!

Great video!! I had a 1980 Cobra at 17, a 1984 GT at 18, now at 52 I’ve been restoring a 91 GT on my channel. I’m trying to involve my 3 sons as much as I can.

I remember shopping for an new 82 vehicle... looked at a red Supra $17k, red Mustang GT and a white Capri RS 5.0. Didn't like the nose on the Mustang and love the Capri wide body look. Saw it in the Mercury dealers showroom and paid 10k. Been driving the Capri for 42 years!

You can get into the 13s with a cam and the intake. That was Corvette smoking back in the day. Aluminum heads in your world beater of course the landscape has changed.

I'm currently rebuilding a 83 Mustang for my niece for a High School graduation present next May. I'm not building a performance V8 car like this one, it will have a newer V6 in it but I am going to put a turbo on it, because the V6 from the last 10-15 years have just as much if not more horsepower than V8's do. A 2000 model year 232 Ford Essex without a turbo cranked out 193 HP, a 1983 mustang 302 engine only had 175 HP and I'm adding a Turbo to hers.

I 100% believe the $75 buck's story. I bought a clean title 1991 LX 5.0 two owner with 99,000 miles in 2001 for $3,500, the interior looked like new car. You couldn't dream of buying a 2 owner 99,000 miles in great condition Mustang GT today, a clean title 2014 Mustang GT with 99,000 miles in good condition today? Probably $20,000.
