  • America has become a meritless society. For example, take Christina Peterson, the Georgia judge arrested after an altercation at a nightclub. An elected judicial official who took an oath to uphold justice, dressed like a stripper fighting with cops. Are you looking for examples in the sports world? Jason presents you the golden calf, Deion Sanders, the unqualified J.J. Redick, the philandering Bill Belichick, or bankrupt Antonio Pierce. “Fearless” examines how we’ve regressed and devolved into a leadership crisis in every aspect of American life. T.J. Moe, Kevin Donahue, and Virgil Walker join the show to share their thoughts on our lowered standards and what true leadership should look like
00:00 Judge put in handcuffs: How does this happen?
17:00 We are missing what Paul described as leadership
25:18 JJ Redick doesn’t have leadership qualities
    32:06 Deion makes no sense
49:19 Tennessee Harmony speaks on the lack of leadership in the world

I honestly believe that Deion in his own mind is trying to live right. The issue however, that he keeps running in to, is that he either can’t, or is not willing to completely let go of the “prime time“ persona. Basically he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to hold to Christian principles and public profession, while maintaining the primetime celebrity famous figure personality that almost everybody especially within the Black community loves, and that he also financially benefits and maintains privilege from.

I think what he's getting at in belief vs believer he mentioned it slightly and he did seem disconnected from whatever is written. The belief of someone is a preconceived notion or a specific idea to fit an idea someone has of the person or to fit the other example of when an alike person did something similar. Whereas a believer can go on to do more or do it differently and isn't boxed into just that idea.

Wait hold up. I don't understand TJ on this one. I don't want a female president myself. But if we get one we get one. But to see if they are able to leave your church they shouldn't lead the country is crazy! And the reason why I say that is, Donald Trump shouldn't be president Ronald Reagan shouldn't have been president. And why? Because they couldn't have led a church because they had divorces. So make that make sense TJ

The point is a woman can never be qualified to lead a church according to the Bible. Nothing she does or doesn’t do can ever qualify or disqualify her. And he’s applying that standard for a woman being the president of the US. Reagan and Trump meet the qualification of being a man.
He may very well not share your opinion that a divorced man can’t be a pastor. There is NO clear indication in the Bible that a divorced man can never be a pastor regardless of the circumstances. Jesus certainly permitted divorce in cases of adultery. His prohibition was against remarriage. Dr. Charles Stanley led his congregation for years as a divorced man. His wife divorced him not because of any moral failings such as spousal abuse or adultery. And he also never remarried. Which means he never violated the qualification of being the husband of one wife.

Don't you think a living example is better than a vocal one? And when somebody changes their life for God, how long do you think they need to live that life before putting others on the spot about what they do?

Why do we put age caps on what we can and can't do. The problem is people put too much stock in a position. They are still human and still like to have fun. They make mistakes and still probably sit on the toilet to take a 💩. Point is they are human stop thinking they can do no wrong and this wont be shocking at all🤷🏽‍♂️

    @38:40
Mr. Whitlock: I respect and appreciate you, but you are being a bit too hard on Deion in regard to his non-answer to the reporter's question/request that he evaluate himself on camera.
While it is reasonable to ask the question, Deion and other coaches are not required to answer such queries - especially this kind, and for good reason.
We are all aware that the coaching job market is a revolving door that spins quickly, and is inordinately affected by the performance of others. And while that's part of the deal, an honest or harsh self evaluation or public reflection has potential negative ramifications concerning future employment - particularly if it causes one to improperly assess or overstate their own errors.
While self reflection is constructive and necessary in life, a TV or any public forum is not the place for it, unless of course, someone cares to volunteer for that unnecessary risk.
Furthermore, the indignant expectation from the media that questions like these must be answered out of some obligation to discourse is simply a convention and invention of the media itself - one that smacks of its own brand of entitlement. This entitlement is something that, frankly, people like you and members of your like-minded audience know better than indulging in. Again, I offer this out of sincere respect, sir. A biblical worldview can be tremendously helpful, dare I say, essential. But this ain't that...
There is no moral obligation for Deion to play ball on this kind of a question, particularly when there's little to no upside for having a public review of his missteps. Besides, his miscalculations were on display for everyone to see last season - a risk he accepted when he entered coaching. But accepting that risk doesn't require him to fall on his sword for public consumption. Asking for a mea culpa of sorts seems to be something that seeks to serve those demanding it, more than him or his team.
Self reflection in matters like this might be better done privately. There are things that should "stay in the locker room", and this axiom should be extended to include the particular failings of the coaches in those spaces. Demanding this kind of self analysis falls in the wheelhouse of people like owners, general managers, or at the college level: program/athletic directors. Reporters and interviewers need not apply - though they'll certainly try.
