Played at a high school in inner city with teammates that were about 50 /50 black and white. My big beef with Stephen A is everything is “race”. Hey Jason, Love what you do. I’m a 73 year old gym rat who play basketball in high school and football in college. ( Ball State ) . Been a sports guy all my life. Played at a high school in inner city with teammates that were about 50 /50 black and white. My big beef with Stephen A is everything is “race”.
Anyone who is a real ball player knows that when you’re playing ball at a high level, your teammates are “ your boys”. Period. No Color, no deep race discussions, no debates, no nonsense.
Today, 55 years later, we meet at the same neighborhood spots, laugh at the same jokes, prank each other the same way we did when we were 16. The only “race talk” is scratching our head wondering what the hell is going on with guys like Stephen A. He is a fraud “race baiter” who can only survive in a woke company like ABC Disney / ESPN. Real ball players don’t listen to his nonsensical rant about inequality.
