Times’ recent layoffs, Jon Stewart coming back to The Daily Show, the possibility of Michelle Obama running for president, and Boeing jets falling apart.
Lastly, entrepreneur and investor Omeed Malik joins the show to talk about society creating new media platforms and voices. He and Adam also chat about the importance of the First Amendment and America losing its grip on the middle class.

Was born and raised in Torrance, loved socal as a kid. Can't stand California anymore. At 45 I have had the chance to work and live in other states. I will NEVER live in California ever again. California is dead and will never be saved. I've seen the decline for decades and was always telling myself, Ok, now we are at th bottom just to find out we are nowhere near the bottom. It can't get any worse than this, just for it to always get must worse. To all the people reading this that don't think they can leave because of "muh weather", that's a lie. The other states are just as awesome. Yes, the weather changes more in other states, but what they don't tell you is that you get used to it and as long as you go to a southern state, it ain't that bad. What you get in return is a community that isn't batshit, WAY more of your paycheck in your bank account, a community that aligns with your beliefs and just an overall gain in quality of life. So do it, sell your piece of shit fixer upper you bought for $900,000 and buy a mansion in another state already.

About 10 years ago or so, St. Paul was a beautiful, clean city (clean for a city, anyway). Within the last ~5 years the city has tried its hardest to emulate MInneapolis with being a crime-filled, dirty shit hole. So, I hate to say it but the city has already turned to shit. I'll try to update folk when it devolves even further

I remember while researching for work around 20 years ago it was considered one of the healthiest cites in the country and had relatively low crime rate. Similar to what happened to Pprtland, ME btw. Obama admin shipped a bunch of Somalis and other 'random' 3rd worlders who surprisingly all had the same complexion. Obama and his crowd felt these cities were "too white".

I consider myself a Liberal but, I NEVER wanted to defund the police. I knew it would be a disaster.
Being right across the river from Portland, I’ve seen firsthand when you have an antiquated form of government (it’s the only major city left in America to still have a commission type government) and a totally incompetent district attorney, and just how they allowed this once great city to decline so quickly.
Portland has been a progressive city since the 60s and until about ten years ago was a safe, vibrant, and prosperous place.
Oregon decriminalizing small amounts of hard drugs didn’t help either. The measure passed right before the fentanyl epidemic began and has made the homeless and mental health crisis worse than what it was before.
I used to love walking around downtown Portland by myself without worrying about people attacking me. Now, I don’t feel safe down there even with my family and friends.
It’s sad to see this city located in the most beautiful part of America, in such disarray.

Speaking of competent sounding people being ignored that Adam would get a kick out of, I saw a news story with an actual engineer talking about how Lanai, HI fire-debris is being landfilled.
