by far ''MY FAVORITE FIGHTER / ATHLETE OF ALL TIME !!...i mean the impact he had on me when i knew one of his fights were coming and of course the night of the fight itself was BEYOND WORDS !!.. it was like if i was fighting or a very close love one was fighting...pinned to the screen and rocking back n forth in nervousness waiting for him to win ..and a sigh of relief after he did.. HE WAS THE BEST !!

Mayweather never came close to fighting some body of Rays caliber pure boxer with size, heart, reach, chin, and proven with experience no Floyed would have a hard time
Boxers in his era weren’t the same as boxers of the previous era. Either way they get paid a lot win or lose

I love Floyd, I do think he is underrated by many to this day as many discredit him. And I do believe he could beat some of the greats at the time like Duran and such, But Leonard? Leonard whoops him so hard it ain’t even funny.

He had trouble with Judah and Mosley in the beginning of their bouts and that can’t happen vs. SRL who was smart, has KO power, incredible will to win, an ego to match and the judges loved him better than they did Mayweather. For SRL to lose in his prime, he would need to feel a threat and really respect Mayweather’s power and no way Mayweather had the fire power of Duran, Hearns and Hagler. SRL’s shadow looms over the whole Mayweather legacy, including Mayweather’s uncle and father. SRL would have KO’d Pacman because he’d fire off that Right like he did against Hagler. The kind that KO’d Pac. And Hearns would have dropped Mayweather facedown catching him on Floyd’s pull counter the way Floyd was caught by Maidana. Again, Floyd’s great but a victim of not having the same elite level of competition as the era of the Four Kings.

I met Ray and spoke to him at length,a real gentleman and a great champion
Sugar Ray said he got his jab technique by studying Bruce Lee's jab.makes me wonder if he ever studied wing Chung( sticky hands) by chance, he certainly had the elusiveness& movement, though that's not allowed in boxing matches.i miss watching boxingon Tues Night Fights in the 90s where I think Leonard was a fight analyst on& off.
