Depends on the team budget. For example when pascal wherline was at Manor half way through the season you could see his race suit had started to fray. So up to the team how many they give the drivers.

If sponsors can be convinced that the few grams give the car they are sponsoring an edge, then sponsors may concede needing embroidered logos.
Michael Ingraham The money they save from embroidering would go into the r&d to the car and save more time than the quarter of an ounce in all the embroidery
@@americanpride9733 Money? Money seems to be no object. If they'll drill holes in Velcro to save weight, weight seems more important than cost. Plus, would silk screening be more costly once the durability issue is resolved?
The logos being embroidered was a NASCAR Monster Energy Cup suit for Austin Cindric - son of Tim Cindric, the Team Penske president. They don't have to care for the last gram with their 3500 pound cars. Logos on Hamilton's suit were printed.
Great info thank you. I have a couple questions. How many suits on average does each driver use for a season? Are the latest suits only good for a certain amount of time? What is it about Lewis Hamilton's seat that makes it look like he has soiled himself after a race distance? Thanks again.
I was reading an article just now saying grosjean has been or going to get fired and haas a chasing ocon don't know how true it is but it was written by these autosport guys
He mentions replacing the zipper pull to save 2 grams, makes me wonder why they don't eliminate the zipper altogether if there's already a velcro clasp covering the entire length. Surely the suits aren't so tight they need a zipper and the drivers don't exactly move a lot in the cockpit.
Do you guys know why the Merc drivers get out the car after a race and both have a black stain on their backside? I have tried getting answers out of Merc, the drivers & F1, but never get replies on any platform... I imagine it is immensely insignificant, but it must be happening for a reason.
"tenths of gram" wow. Give me a break. Some one probably sneezed and their boogie got onto the car adding some 'tenth of gram" on the car they should keep the cars and drivers in a vacuum before they're ready if they're going to be that anal about it.
But still you want to have as less weight as possible. So when you are under weight, you can add weight at the place you most desire, for the optimum weight distribution.

How many suits do F1 drivers use in a season?
At least 5 every week-end (one for each session) x 21 races = 105 at least.
Then you add the winter testing and all that kind of events
Thanks! I'd never of guessed it was so many. @@mickrofone
