THE MOST underrated rock band of all time! 💯
Thank you for coming back to Thin Lizzy. This was a single and they had loads of hits. Phil Lynott (lie-not) is a great and unique vocalist. He sometimes uses a spoken/singing style like Mark Knopfler and Chris Rea. But he doesn't mumble as they tend to do. But he can also use a fully fledged rock voice. Other tracks you will enjoy include, "Suicide"; Johnny"; "Bad Reputation" "Got to Give it Up" for example. I saw them on their last tour when I was 17. It is the loudest concert I have ever been to!!! That was a great story! Lmao. 👍
Yes you need to check out “ whiskey in the jar” also Metallica covers the same song, but listen to the original version first. Thin lizzy was one of the bands to influence them

Thanks, MD... Love this band.. so many awesome songs.. (Boys are back in town; Cowboy Song; Whiskey in the Jar.. more...) I'm old, so I saw them open for QUEEN when I was a teenager.. I was there for Queen, but was so impressed... especially Phil Lynott was magnetic.. appreciate your reaction! P.S. one of the earliest bands in that era to employ "dual lead guitars".. also, many people don't realize this is an IRISH band.. the song themes are so universal!

You must listen to 'Wild One' if ever you get the chance. It brings a different side to their music and Phil is magnificent.
