Thanks, Harri. No, REALLY, thanks !!! I'm gobsmacked - Paul Simon hasn't dropped a stich. And i wouldn't have been aware of this if it hadn't been for you. Thanks -
I love how it quickly morphs from a witty tale ("he's 6-foot-8") about concert security, to a dark commentary on economic inequality ("whose anger is a shorthand").
Hi Harri, thank you VERY much for this reaction. Do you want to go even deeper into Paul Simon? You could check out his Broadway musical, The Capeman. I don't like the play very much, and neither did most people, but the songs were good to great. The highlights were "Born in Puerto Rico" and "Time Is An Ocean". Paul released Born in Puerto Rico as a single with his own vocals. "Time Is An Ocean" was sung as a duet by the stars of the play, Rubén Blades and Marc Anthony. Harri, I highly, recommend listening to that. Rubén Blades is/was a huge star in Latin America. He is an amazing musician and singer. Marc Antony used to be a big star, too, and his singing and acting in this song are beautiful. Time Is An Ocean is stunning. Go for the album version over the live version. Thanks Harri.
A great new groove from Paul Simon! Very few artists could do this in their 20s- never mind their 80s… The rhythm is really catchy…love the percussion, as well as that consistent bass (I think it was a stand up). It’s funky and funny and fresh! What’s not to like about this song..?!! Thanks for the submission and, of course, the reaction.
His newest 7 psalms is great. It came out about 1 1/2 years ago. What's sad is he lost 92 % of his hearing in his left ear. He can't hear well enough to sing with a band. He will be 83 in October.
Thanks, Harri. No, REALLY, thanks !!!

Paul Simon is a Genius ❤❤❤
This is pedestrian stuff and nowhere near genius level.

He just doesn't disappoint.
Paul Simon is an American treasure. Thanks for sharing this one!
Fantastic! Paul Simon is still creating auditory gold! This was a great choice and the commentary was amazing too. Thanks Harri and lynlucas 🌺✌️
Most of Paul Simon’s songs are a great metaphor. He is a pavilion writer, but you have to look deeper than his words.
I have the CD this song is from. It’s called Stranger to Stranger. It’s pretty cool!
Interesting song, love it!
Love Paul Simon! ❤️

It's from 2016, so not completely new but pretty close. He was 74 when it was recorded. I agree it is excellent!
@@sarahm.5356 It’s new to me 😂
I know his music from the 60s & 70s. He’s been at it for decades! Really amazing.
Love this!!! ♥️💎♥️💎
I love it!✌🏼❤️🎶
So unique and enjoyable! He seems like he is 60~
Cool 😎 ❤😊
Cool Papa Bell is a really good recent one

He wrote this because it actually happened to him. The guy at the door didn't recognize him. LOL Had to get his manager or agent to verify who he was.
He's 82 not 75
This isn’t a brand new song
At the time of the recording, he was 74. Released in June, 2016.
that's legit cool. not too boomer.
