In this video you will learn how to install a Siouxicide Choppers 39mm Springer Front end for Harley-Davidson Sportsters. This springer is a great and easy solution for the garage builder who wants the look of a traditional springer on their Sportster without all the hassle of having changing out a lot of the stock parts, such as risers, handlebars, brake caliper, and gas tank when running a traditional style springer. Todd walks you through step by step on how to disassemble your front end and install this Siouxicide Chopper springer. So follow along as he gives you helpful tips and tricks to get you back on the road styling. Let's Go!
**EDITOR NOTE** The top bracket that holds the rear legs under the top triple tree and allows for the new headlight to be mounted was accidentally installed upside down in this tutorial. Please look at directions that comes with the kit and install the top bracket the correct way for proper installation. This will also allow for better handling. We are only human and do make mistakes. Sorry for the inconvenience.***

Todd seems like an old friend. Super down to earth. Very knowledgeable. I hope you all know how lucky you are to have a guy like this on your team! thanks for all you do!
If you guys keep doing these Sporty build vids, I’m going to have to buy a used one and a bunch of stuff from you.
Precisely lol
Ditto. With this Springer and that weld on hardtail, it would actually be a pretty sweet bike.
That's why he's doing it..............LOL
Good luck. Sporties are getting hard to find around here and the ones that do come up are overpriced.
@@tommyt2854 I actually have a recipe in my head for just that but with an Old Skool Pogo seat and split tanks. Been watching Wheels Through Time WAY to much🤣.
While I’m not planning on getting a springer, I never miss a video from Todd! Excellent video as always!
More content featuring Todd, please! I dont even own a harley, yet I love to watch his build videos.
In all honesty, blown away by this item. Been looking to put a Springer on my wife's 48 for some time now, but did not want to go to the hassle of breaking everything down including triple trees, handlebars, risers, and all the electrical wiring and extensions that come with it. What a beautiful design and simplicity 💥💥💥💥💥💥
48's have a mid glide 39mm, unfortunately, you wont be able to run it, its for narrow glides. if you found your self a set of narrow 39mm and changed them out it could work but the stock trees on the 48 are too wide.
@@lowbrowcustoms Actually went on website and there is an application for the 48💥💥💥💥💥. Check it out 💪💪💪
@@josephpetrizio78 noice, yeah siouxicide has them on their site. I was just referencing the one we used in this vid if that's what you were thinking would work. All good, and thanks for doing the research and hope it works out good for you. cheers
Nice looking part and seems easily installed. Now we just need a new Saturday Sportster series! Wooo
I wouldn't mind seeing a vintage Triumph on the next series. They wouldn't be able to call it Saturday Sportster though. Thursday Triumph maybe.
@@daveco1270 Tuesday Triumph! Awesome
Right on 💪 I have been thinking about this installation for a long time, and now it's time for a springer 🤘😎
Holy cow!!! That is the dopeness! Add a kickstarter too. I know Led Sled makes a kicker kit. Not sure if there are any other good options. Anyway, thanks for treating Sportys with the respect they deserve. Stay frosty.
Awsome to see these guys sell good quality stuff, I'm about a mile or two away from them😂
Springer front ends are great...not to mention that you don't loose overall wheel base...also springers are much softer and hell of alot more comfortable then forks...

In Todd We Trust
I put one on my sporty couple years ago and I love it.
Anywhere I could see some pictures of it?
My sportster chopper gets my old lady way way more wet than the street glide ever could, thank you for making my bike bad fucking ass and getting my old lady wet again, cheers to lowbrow 🤘🏻
Glad to see a new video from y'all, thank you..keep em coming
Wow great to see you still going. Much Props!!! Wish i saw this sooner. Hope you are well. TFR
I wish you were close enough, You are a fantastic wrench bro.
Hello Todd. Another great video. Thank you
They need a collar at the top to center the outter springs on the top so when you tighten them down they dont push sideways like the driverside spring did on todd when he was turning the nut the last time right before he measured the threads showing
Pretty sweet idea!
When these come out in 6 over and 8 over I'll have to replace my 6 over tubes I just bought from you guys a year ago haha
Another EXCEPTION VIDEO!
Awesome brother
AWESOME!!!
Cool thank you
"How many times did I say loctite? Just use some, OK?" I re-watch all the videos that you host.
Muito bom o conteúdo.
Muito obrigado cara! desfrutar
Who need a front brake lol just take it off 😂👍🏼 RAD VIDEO
All it needs now are Brembos all around, quality rear shocks ...and a 6th gear.
Looks nice. But does it hop like the ol school springers used to
dope
اقسم بالله حبييييت👍🏼
I have a Sportster Roadster, dual front disk. Can I buy two brackets and keep dual disk?
I like the idea, but adding rockers with triple trees that already have offset built in , doubles the bikes trail..
I found it easier to use the ratchet strap; and have the wheel on the axle using the weight of the bike to help, to compress the springs far enough to switch over to using a LARGE C-Clamp to finish compressing the springs. I had 3 different straps that the ratchet failed every time before compressing the springs far enough to start the nuts. As for how much tension is on those springs; when the strap ratchets failed, my front wheel wound up at least a foot off of the ground.
Any torque settings for these bolts and fittings?
Cool
I live in Sioux city iowa we have a suicide choppers here can I get that kit here
Do they have one that'll fit a ol 78 fxe??
Wouldn't mind trying this on my 96 fxdl but it came with dual disc brakes on it.
sorry yeah, only can run one on this version.
Do they make these for an 05 Lowrider? Dont seem to see these...
Nice, hooligan tracker front end in the next vid?
Do You Have A Springer For A 2006 Harley Sportster 1200 Low That Will Fit My Bike
what does the finished bike look like
Trying to findout more about the spingerfork you are putting on but can't anyhelp would be appreciated eddie dowse from Australia 😊
We don't carry them anymore but the maker still makes them. www.siouxicidechoppers.com/store/siouxicide-choppers-springer-kit-39mm
I just bought a 1977 sports dryer head. It's got some God off a long fork on it. The tubes look like Six inches over but I don't know what they really are but it's got awful ugly and I want to get the friending leveled back out I want to put a Springer front end on it but I don't know what size Springer to order. I thought maybe I'd get a four inch under and it would level it back out but I don't want to buy it and then have the front frame Drag the ground can you help me out
hi where can you buy?
Dude it looks just like mine!😁
I'm surprised they would use anti-seize, instead of like Marine grease on that bushing but it's not my engineering or my part.
But I do like the idea of using the original triple trees....
you could use marine grease too.. whatever your heart desires as long as those bushings can move freely
@@lowbrowcustoms well I try and pick out the best for whatever application it is that's the only reason I bought up brought up that question.. thanks for the reply....🖖
How much is the spriner
Would this fit on my 96 Sporty XL1200c
Yeah anything that has a 39MM front end. we stopped carrying them but you can find them here www.siouxicidechoppers.com/store/siouxicide-choppers-springer-kit-39mm
niice!
Is there one that is 2 inch taller? Lol for a 2021 iron 883
What if we skip the inner spirngs? Would it be softer when ridden?
You know when you hit a free spring it goes "boing"? That being iscthe spring frequency. Undamped springs bounce up and down. The double springs are so they have conflicting frequencies to keep it from acting like the pogo stick you had as a kid...
@@BuiltatBlackjacks how can I didnt think about it. Thx man
Couldnt you just mount the front wheel and set the bike on the ground and you wouldnt need the strap..? Just a thought. 😊
Your having too much fun !!!! Lol...
I love to get that front end and put it on my sportster. However with this economy I have trouble understand when and where $1400 is going to fall out of the sky and into my lap. That is more than 1/6 of the price I paid for my USED sportster.
Exactly, 3 times the price of the regular ones and if you factor in shipping to Canada, exchange rate and duty the price is about 2500US
I have to imagine the trail geometry on this setup is severely compromised. Opinions?
This kit is junk lol
Looks to me like it's a bit longer than stock? If the sums were done properly, then the increase in trail from the over length "springer" would balance out the decrease from the springer geometry. But I didn't design it, so that's just a guess.
Am i missing the link to this product?

Are you no longer carrying this? The link is broken.
Whooo
At least this is way more advanced than the Eric barros aka yammie noob tail tidy shop.
👍😎👍
Conclusion: LOCTITE !! 😂😂
👍
Cool idea, but if you have the skills to properly install this and complete all the other modifications required then you could also just install a normal springer.
yes this is true, some people dont have those skills and still want the look, hence the part. :)
I don't think I'll be buying this when even your own site has full springers for $500 less than these, Nuts!
Yeah just skip the boring headlight part that contains 80% of the bikes electrical wiring 😂
🤣
omg who would pay money to do that to a sportster?
That thing is hideous.
Ewwwww lol that setup is just wrong, get a real springer, it’s more work to assemble the spring assembly than it is to just pull the stem out
Will this springer work on my 98 1200
I no like :
