This month (May 2019) marks the 15th anniversary of Lowbrow Customs. We thought it would be great to share the story of how it all got started. This documentary-style film takes a hard look at the company's beginnings, filled with old photos, stories, and interviews from Tyler Malinky, founder and CEO of Lowbrow Customs, his brother and partner Kyle Malinky and the rest of the staff. Sit back, grab some popcorn and take a ride with us here at Lowbrow Customs.

I've ordered thousands in parts from Lowbrow, never an issue - until .... I ordered an evo intake wrench overnight to get my bike back on the road without fighting my homemade one. It never showed up. I called like 4-5 days later and got the young lady at customer service (katie). I was blown away - Over an $8 wrench, you refunded shipping and overnighted another. Couldnt have been easier. Couldnt have been nicer. Thank you for caring it means the world to everyone who puts their heart and soul into these bikes and riding. Never change!

You are watching how the entrepreneurial spirit blossoms into a money making business. These guys have passion, intelligence and a lot of blood sweat and tears into this business. It’s a beautiful story, and having their mom work at their business gives it that extra family love feeling! Bravo!

I'm a 76 year old biker and have been in Customer Service for over 50 years. (also, a customer of yours) I started at the bottom and ended up as an executive working for an $85B company. That was career #1. Career #2 was me building and managing a Customer Service department for a Firearms Company. We excelled and developed a very loyal base of customers. My philosophy was to always "do what's right" for the customer. I loved your attitude of "we are customers". That is a winning philosophy. It's the old adage... treat people the way you want to be treated. Success will surely follow. Great job! Thanks for this video. It is encouraging t see young folks like yourselves, work hard and make things happen. Keep it up. i look forward to my next Lowbrow Purchase!

A man cares about himself, a good man cares about himself and his family, but a great man cares about himself, his family, his friends and their families! Ran my own business some years ago. Screwed it somehow and never had the joy of offering jobs to my friends & family. Somehow this story inspires me to start again someday. Thanks!

It’s crazy to think that I met Tyler at the Smoke Out forever ago. I still have the 1st shirt I bought from him. And I have original business cards and a catalog/Triumph motor poster..... Lowbrows parts helped me finish my 69 TR6 chop and I still buy a few things from time to time for my Sportster.....
Thanks for being there for us....

Since I found Lowbrow about a year ago, I have loved the attitude and the honesty and the dedication to their craft and their customers. I love that everyone comes off super genuine and just speaks in their videos as they would to eachother. To me its refreshing to know that the classic American work ethic and dedication to craft is still alive out there. I bought my son (hes 11) a 2002 sportster 1200 that we have just started building into his dream chopper. Anytime that we find ourselves needing something, we always take a look at lowbrow and see if they have what we need and so far more times than not they do.

Thanks to Lowbrow Customs for infusing excitement into the motorcycle industry. As the owner of JRC Engineering it has been my privilege to watch this business grow from a very humble beginning to what it is today. In the beginning JRC was willing to take a chance with an enthusiastic young man with a vision. Having been through the first wave of custom bikes in the late 60's I was excited to see someone take that path again. many of the old guard did not appreciate the custom scene for the fulfillment it offered and some of my contemporaries were rather distressed to see the rigid chopper scene come around again. We at JRC loved to see it and have been eager to help Lowbrow in whatever way we can. I personally look forward to many years of continued fun in this business. I began my career in the biz in 1971 and bought JRC in 1987 and have no regrets. My hope is that Lowbrow will be able to say the same after 48 years! Thanks for posting this history video also, it is great to see how far you have come.

could not be more happy to support Lowbrow with not just my money (orders) but also by stopping by on the regular, hitting up their events and telling people how great they are. Tony and Kaitie (the two people you'll meet when you walk in the showroom) are wonderful human beings. So friendly and helpful. Tyler is 100% real when he says they aren't putting up a front or image (like a lot of other "chopper" operations, unfortunately). There's absolutely nothing wrong with riding motorcycles with a smile!

I stumbled across LOWBROW a few years ago online looking for parts for a bike I was considering buying. Here I am a few years later, still no bike, but completely inspired by watching this video. LOWBROW looks like a great group of folks who are passionate about what they do, whether it's motorcycle fab, PR, media, sales, they enjoy their work and enjoy excelling at what they do to contribute to the greater good of this business. I'm always on the hunt for a bike, but I'm still looking. As finances are available the time will come. Family, home, my architecture practice, and other projects have taken precedence run my life, but a motorcycle is in the cards for my future. When the time comes, I look forward to relying on LOWBROW for my needs. - Jeff

I've ordered only three times and those were small orders, but I'm blown away with the quick delivery of those parts and with all the little extras that were thrown in. Of all the online and big box retailers, I tend to tell others to try Lowbrow first.
There is a serious need for quality aftermarket parts and doo-dads for the Polaris Indian motorcycles and I'm quite sure that would be a lucrative market for Lowbrow to investigate.

If I had not just bought some parts from Low Brow and experienced their great attitude, I would probably just figure all the nice things people say about Low Brow to be good P R. Well Low Brow really is as good as people are saying. I originally thought of them from having seen their name and read of them in Cycle Source magazine. I am glad I checked them out and I feel I have a new go to source for parts for my 87 FXRS. It's nice to see people who enjoy what they do and succeed at it too. I wish a company like Low Brow had existed back in 1979. I bought a 1967 Triumph Daytona 500 that had been raced a bit , up in New England. Nothing was quite correct and had been pieced together. I remember trying to find Triumph parts and people would laugh when I told them they were for a 500 cc! I absolutely loved that bike but finally gave up trying to find almost non existent parts. Glad the British bikes are getting some love again. Keep up the good work Low Brow.

Hard work, honesty and integrity are the things that made America great and getting back to those values is the thing that will put America back in the leadership role among nations. Some people enjoy watching the giant fall but I find it far more inspiring to see him get back up and fight on. Your way of relating to your customers and employees is inspirational and other businesses should take note of your success. Go Lowbrow! T.

I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make this video. You guys have the best running business plan I think I've ever heard. If I ever need parts when I get to building my project bike, I'm coming to your website first. I like your no macho biker attitude. I work with a bunch of old Harley riders at a machine shop and they aren't too keen on giving advice to a beginner. I however have several friends that ride and have given me ample advice on the route to go when purchasing my first motorcycle. But again thanks for doing what you guys and gals do. Peace Love Rock
    -G from Hybrid BMX

      Hybrid BMX,
I don't know who these old Harley riders are, but their attitude is not the norm. My brothers and friends and I enjoy helping others out with their questions and give advice on what they are doing. Sharing knowledge is half the fun.

This is so great! I’ve worked for companies starting with 2 guys, 2 brothers and watched the company grow to 100+ employees including myself. There’s a sense of family and teamwork that is sooo rewarding there’s really nothing like it. Then the issue of money comes in, brothers start fighting with greed and families break up. Loyalties and honesty start to go out the window when all you care about is money. I’ve left that life, shit I left broke too.
These guys are doing it right. This is the way. And admittedly I’m so jealous yet happy for y’all. I wish you have a shop in the New England area so I could contribute/work for a company like yours. Oh well, I guess I’ll just buy that sick narrow Frisco tank you have!! Hahaha so dope dudes. Congratulations on your story and business. I’m definitely a fan and customer now, and so will my friends be. Rock on bros 🤘🏻🔥🏍️

Tyler, you and your brother have found the secrets of business success. Look outward first, everthing falls into place with patience and hard work thereafter. Money comes and goes but your customers and their customers and friends will be there to support your busines. From an 'ol fellow who like you started as a laborer in cnstruction in 1968 to establishing and running a succssful concrete construction business 1974 through 2003 at which time my Wife and I handed the business over to our 2 foremen and retired to the Seattle, Wa area. Rock on Tyler and LowBrow, GOD speed and be safe
