I have to say thank you for this video!! I am 6months into my transition and i have looked all over you tube for two strand twist that would last more than a day or two and your method is so easy and it works!!! Have to give you your props. I will be using your method from now on Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing! I used your technique last night and this morning I had lovely tight curls that will last for a while. I let it air dry and covered with a silk scarf at bedtime. The only thing I did pick up was the loc gel and the perm rollers were only $1. I bought 4 packs just in case. I got the white and pink. But I know I love the style already because as it loosens it will become more fuller. This is something I will continue to do while going through my transitioning.
Ok so I tried this last night on my transitioning hair & let me say it was great! I even took a nap on it this afternoon w/a silk bonnet over it & woke up to it looking even better. Only thing I did differently is I didn't purchase the perm rods. I used my regular small 1/2" senthetic roller w/the clasp and it came out just the same. I also used Some of Marguerites Magic from Carols Daughter to do the twists and add moisture after washing.
I am transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair with the same form, however, I do not let my twist out, because I love the ends rolled for a no fuss procedure. This form last me about 3 weeks. Great video
Your hair came out awesome! I've tried braid outs a few times, but the style didn't come out as expected. I'm definitely going to try this method. Thanx for posting.
OMG!! Thanks for this upload... Im currently trying this out with the perm rollers. I am transitioning as well. I hope it works... You are amazing stylist!! Im convinced to continue this process... Keep up the good work :-)
Your hair looks awesome! Thanks so much for posting this! Your hair texture is exactly like mine and you have encouraged me to continue the transition! :-)
I am so late trying this but I am in my 11 th month post relaxer and need some kind of style that can last through my workouts. Hair twisted and rolled right now!! I hope it turns out nice like yours!!
@wam785 Oh thanks Love! I'm debating if I'm going to do this for the big Easter Sunday weekend and wear it the rest of the week. If you try it, please let me know how it works for you. Have a great holiday! TIA
I tried the 2 strand twist this weekend on my hair that's still relaxed. It came out ok but tends to look a dry and frizzy on the ends. I used Cantu Shea Butter, clear ice gel, mousse form lotion, jojoba oil. Your advise would be greatly appreciated.
Loved the style I am diffenately trying it! I did this same style on my hair with larger twists and it would only last 2 days! I saw my error, I noticed you made ur twists small and u put it in a pineapple at night. Your hair is a little longer than mine and the pineapple may be hard to get the back up can I pin the hair up instead?
@JuiciCherry Hey Love! To do the twists close to the scalp takes a little practice. Take the 2 sections and cross them over while pulling gently/taut towards the scalp. It works out best if it's crossed laying on the scalp. BETTER YET--search a tutorial on how to do 2 strand twists and then practice. I can bet you mine are never perfect. BUt I know you don't want ur roots puffy on this style.
@GENISEize Hey Hunny ;o) Just saw this message! Me and Bantu Knots have not figured each other out yet. I'm figuring braidouts out. I know--Twistouts on my daughter's hair look like little worms, while twists outs on my hair look fine! Wonder if it has something to do with thicknesses and stuff. Thanks 4 the msg Love!
@nakeasimone13 What you can do is just leave it and sleep on a satin pillowcase. Depending on the length of hair, the pineapple method sometimes stretches the curls. Then pineapple has to be really loose. I'm pretty sure some nights I just slept with it down and on the sating case--and just fluffed in the am. Because it had good hold and the perm rod curls aint really going anywhere for a while ;o) Thanks Love! Let me know when you try it plsssss ;o)
@flozangel Thanks Love, I needed a comment on this re-load to encourage people to try this transitioning style. I know it helped me through some rough times ;o) TTYL
@MsChanteJ72 Now listen you! Somebody traumatized this long haired child into never getting under a dryer! Buy one of those soft bonnet dryers, put on a movie, and go to sleep. When you wake up you'll be all dry. Let me know how that works out for you bunny! ;o)
@CSea07 Heyyy! Let me know how this works for you if you get a chance. This video is a re-upload b/c of music, but the first time around lots of people tried it and loved how long it lasted. Thanx for the message!

@TheBabyphat123 Yes it would look nice and make the style last longer.
This was Great!!! I can do this!
@MsChanteJ72 Yeah girl get a soft bonnet dryer, no worry about damage to the hair.
