Hey Love! I've been growing my hair out unprocessed for 3 years and about 7 months. July 2013 will be 4 years! Thanks for the love babes. Have fun with your two strand twists! They are by far my favorite hairstyling to do.
March will make 2yrs that I've been natural. You truly taught me something today!!!! Oh I loved how you hair separated so easily while it was dry!!!! Great video, thanks!!!!
Your hair is so beautiful and looks so soft. I spritz my hair with water, put conditioner in it then comb it out with a wide toothed comb before I wash my hair, like you explained in one of your older videos. It makes everything so much simpler than it used to be. My hair looks similar to yours. We have the same texture. I enjoy watching your videos! They're very helpful.
Thanks for the love sweets! I really don't know much about color :o) I did this over 1 year ago. I took Dark & Lovely's Honey Blond and put it on in chunks at the front of my head only. As my colors grow out, it always looks more noticeable. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to rinse Jet Black now or do another light color. The black's definitely healthier for my hair, but the lighter color is fun LOL! I may put it on video..if I don't look too confused Hahah
Omg when you pulled your hair my eyes got so big! I need to use that conditioner recipe on my hair. 'That's how you know its well moisturised' love love love! :)
Beautiful braidout results. Your hair is so beautiful and healthy looking. It has really grown a lot. Thanks for sharing all the tips on cleansing/moisturizing :)
Hey Love! You can switch up products, but when you find what works...why look for trouble LOL! I know, it's fun shopping for hair stuff, but in the end I just really want something to get my hair clean, put moisture in, and keep it pliable for style for the week. If you're switching up to find something that works well, try out one product (of that type) at a time so you can see what it's doing. Thanks for the love Beautifulllll! I'm still here
Thanks Babes. Yeah, I've switched back and forth with the braidouts/twistouts in the past. I figured out that I was flicking my wrist when I go to twist, and that was "roping" my twist .Then when I pull it down, the 2 pieces didn't define right. I could show it better than write it LOL, but I love twist-out's too. I might start with a braidout, then if I go to re-fresh it one night, I'll do twists instead of braids (nice stretch technique)! You gonna figure out your braidout.
This video was very timely for me. I had been slacking on deep conditioning the past few weeks... not that I wouldn't DC, but I would just slather it on, not fully detangle, not leave it in long enough. But I got back on track this weekend after seeing your video and yup, hair separated like butter :)
I use honey on my skin b/c it's an antibacterial (that's great for the scalp). I throw it in my hair conditioner b/c it's a humectant (attracts water). Not good all year round for some dry locations (fortunately I'm not usually at a loss for humid weather). Definitely a great addition to moisturizer during the Summer months. I love that it's thick/rich and viscous. It's not a "must", but it sure is nice LOL!
I pulled it back into a low ponytail. I may try that now that my hair is "heavier". My problem with the pineapple before was that my hair wouldn't lay back down properly in the morning. I think it might now...Thanks for the idea LOL
LOVE the banana deep conditioner. Not as rich as the mayo, but now that you mention it---I can throw that up in the mix with the mayo! Hmmm coconut milk, I think I did that when I was transitioning..this recipe you share will have to be tried LOL! I love heyfranhey. Especially since she loves the all natural ingredients/raw ingredients like I do! You've got a healthy hair stash. I love it. Thanks for the message Beautiful.
I wondered about that. I don't see any pictures of my braidout or twistout looking as defined when my hair was a shorter length. But I'm just thinking that I didn't have my products or technique figured out. I'm going to play with ingredients to get my friend Kay's hair defined--her length is shorter. I've gotten it well defined b4, but it didn't last, so I know I've got to play around and figure out what ingredients work well with her coil pattern. Thanks for the message Beautiful
If your ends are split, then they may need a trim. Otherwise it will keep breaking. You have relaxed hair, so it's always good to balance the protein/deep conditioning. I like Giovanni products because they seem to have a light protein and definitely moisturizes. Look through the ingredients in the products that you use. Make sure no alcohols, mineral oils and silicones to coat. IDK what you use, but products def cause dryness too. I don't remember, but I think this video has info on dry situa
Hey sweets! Yeah, that's her--she said she's LOVE to get a deep conditioning treatment done LOL! Gonna borrow her luscious mane again over the next week. Thanks for the message Love
I was checking my subscriptions yesterday and i was wondering when would you upload a new video....And today i have this pleasant surprise-a new video yay !
Thanks Baby! That's my "guaranteed to behave" deep conditioner. Gonna try to substitute the mayo one day with yogurt (I hear that's rich too). Can't ever leave out the avocado.
Thanks for the message beautiful! Yeah, I've had a few of those half hearted deep conditionings..they were not usually worth the little time I put into it LOL!
Thanks Beautiful. Yeah, I used aloe vera gel and then sealed with olive oil (gonna talk about the styler ingredients on the follow up video). BUT I have gotten the same definition on "naked" hair (nothing but wash, condition, and braid)...it just doesn't last long (maybe 2 days)
can you PLEASE PLEASE do a detailed hair color video!! were the same complexion and i ADORE your color. im looking to color my hair and yours is just the best compliment of your beautiful hair!
Hey Beautiful. Gotta love the avocado, so rich and luxurious. Retaining that length, huh? I'm excited. That's the plan 2013..more length..baby those tresses at least once a week. I love it. Thanks for the message Babes.
That's okay, I just found the inbox a few weeks ago myself (smh) LOL! Your products sound good. IDK about the elastaqp. I bought something from them and it itched my daughter's scalp like crazy (mango butter something or other leave in conditioner). I didn't touch it again. Try clarifying with 1 tablespoon ACV/2 ounces water. Leave that on for about 5-10 minutes to dissolve stuff. Try using the Giovanni as a leave in or if you have the knot today..add ur fave oils. What do you DC with?
hello I cut my hair about in November and im natural now I wanted to know what products you use in your hair> I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTT it looks like we have the same type of texture aND IM JUST trying to grow mines out like yours
Help!! I am in need of your aloe vera gel & castor oil mix!!! How do you make it? In your videos it looks like a spritz. Do you use aloe vera juice or gel?
My hair has been in braids for the past month I did it too get some length and my hair was grown but still I can get the back done sorry I'm slow with utube I couldn't find ur inbox but I use tresseme natural for cleansing sometimes I use elastaqp clarifying shampoo if I have product buildup and for a leave ini use giovanii 50/50 and moisturizer : elastaqp mango butter
Hey Heart♥ I missed you too. I got some uploads now LOL. I only come on here if I've got something worth sharing :o) Don't you know I'm shy? LOL! T doesn't agree with that. Thanks for the message Baby!
I'm getting real fustturated with my hair !!!! My hair won't get. Moisturised in the back area I have around the same hair type as dimples with the length of k"s hairr I'm so lost I have tried everything thre back is crunchy and very dry product sits on top of my hair I have fine hair !!! Help pls!!
hehe, yummy! I love Subway and I guess I'll now by thinking of you and your hair whenever i'm munching on a sub - sarcastic thanks! lol! How ya been hun? Xx

Hey Love! Yep, I still do that pre-detangling step--definitely makes life easier LOL! Thanks for the message Beautiful
Your twist/braid-outs always look nice! Great video!

It's official in my book. I need to deep condition (with a bit of heat: body heat, dryer, steamer, whatever LOL). Thanks for the message Love!
I pulled it back into a low ponytail. I may try that now that my hair is "heavier". My problem with the pineapple before was that my hair wouldn't lay back down properly in the morning. I think it might now...Thanks for the idea LOL
Hola Amor! I use Amla Powder mixed with water. Your English is great!
That's always my sign that I forgot to deep condition...tangles and knotted ends LOL! Thanks for the message Beautiful
Hey Love, Congratulations on the upcoming anniversary!!! Naturally you'll have to celebrate :o) Thanks for the love Beautiful.
I keep trying to buy one...and all of the good (expensive) ones have the very same ingredients that I mix up LOL! Thanks for the message Beautiful
Your hair came out great. Could you post the recipes for scalp and deep conditioner. thanks
LOVE the banana deep conditioner. Not as rich as the mayo, but now that you mention it---I can throw that up in the mix with the mayo! I love your natural hair vision. I love black women with the natural hair as opposed to hair hat.
This helps a lot. My biggest trouble is parting the hair to do styles. Too many tangles!
Hey Beautiful. Gotta love the avocado, so rich and luxurious. Retaining that length, huh? I'm excited. That's the plan 2013..more length..baby those tresses at least once a week. I love it. Thanks for the message Babes.
