In this tutorial, I will show how I obtain a very defined and neat flat twist out on my medium length natural hair. This technique can be used on any length of hair and any hair type.
Products used:
Extra virgin olive oil
Taliah Waajid's Curly Curl Creme
Creme of Nature's Argan Oil
Tools used:
Wide tooth comb
Fine tooth comb
Denman brush
Afro pick
Bobby pins
Perm rods
Spray bottle with water in it
Hair clips

Your tuts are the best ever...I am transitioning and this style works like a charm for me. I did this style for the second time on yesterday and I LOVE it. The first time I tried it, it was okay my hair has a tendency to be dry and the twist looked a little dry, but I oiled my scalp this time and it came out perfect. This is a great tutorial. I've not heard the recommendation of oiling your hands before working the hair. What a great way to maintain moisture and minimize frizz!!

this video was very helpful. I tried it I had to do the flat twist dry my hair is so thin that it would just get tangled wet, but everything was practically like your video. Lastly I spayed a mixture of setting lotion and Shea milk with water put on a satin cap and went to sleep i got lots of compliments

I do medium sized loose twists and tie my hair with a scarf. I also pull my hair back into a ponytail and tie with a scarf sometimes. You can also put product on the ends of your twists and add a perm rod. I do that sometimes too.

I just bought this product and I have been having amazing results but I my hair wasn't falling the way I like. like you I wanted a side part with little volume and I got it but it wasnt hanging right with my regular twists. I'm completely sold! I WILL be doing FLAT twists from now on. They are faster to do and will probably be better for my hair than regular twists. My hair is not that thick and I just don't think my twist outs look right. Thanks for making this video!!

Thanks! Yes absolutely. If you need your hair to dry faster, you can sit under a hair dryer. The time would depend on the dryer. Also, If you do your hair wet and you air dry it for 1+ hr, it won't be as wet when you go to bed.
