- I bought the cheapest folding bike on Amazon for $99 and had the bright idea of cramming a 1000W motor into the 20" front wheel. You won't find a 1000W ebike this cheap on the market.
Join me as I build the Shenzhen Scrambler in this DIY ebike build! This is the world's cheapest and fastest folding e bike.

I must remember to NEVER eat cookies while watching a @trowan video. Now, I must clean my keyboard. 😂😆🤣
Glad you enjoyed it! Sorry for your keyboard haha
Mad Build!
I had the same ideas 1000watt motor on 20inch wheels.
How many hole spokes on the motor
And how many hole spokes on the wheels?
love it--shows ingenuity and grit!
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the build!
My-dong LOL, love your content. Keep ‘em rolling’ man!
I already love this guy subbed instantly
"except this isn't a Miata, it's a Yugo"🤣
I'm glad someone caught that haha
Haha, really enjoyed the video. Keep the builds coming! Also, if every now and then you can make some technical videos that'd be great 👍
Thank you so much Jorge. I promise to make some technical videos. 👍
This dude loves riding MaiDong
❤
Trowaa.. Superb content..
Try making a bamboo bicycle into a e bike.. I think that would be cheapest.. Try getting a manually assembled one's.. Like maidong so there would be more room for tweaking.. As compared to factory fitted..
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it! A bamboo bicycle would be very interesting..
My ex girlfriend wasn’t too impressed with Maidong the first time she saw it only because she couldn’t unfold it.
Great build! A year later, how is the bike holding up? I'd like to do something similar, but not necessarily with the goal of being the cheapest (or the burnouts lol). Would you still recommend the parts you used? Is there a commercial available bike with similar specs out now? How is pedaling the bike without using the motor?
This was funny.
My must have for an electric bike is that when it folds you can pull it behind you like a travel suitcase. What is the best way to find bikes that can do that when all built up with the electric gear?
If you want a ridiculous idea that may not be possible you could do a lowrider hybrid gas/electric bike.
So... if you were to put it down to a number, what's the current power/weight ratio?
Is the bike still foldable?
How many pounds of zip ties did it take to build?
Also, you plan on throwin' that TP (instructions) away? I could use 'em. I'm down to my last roll...
My battery is on the rear rack like your one but I broke 2 rack for 3 months
mid-drive scooter , gears but no pedals is one i've been thinking about . possible ?
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Gears could be interesting with your mid drive.
nice. is yourdong still spinning?
I have a little ebike 350w motor and 48v 20ah battery and you can go at least 25 miles before recharging. How can you know the range and the weight capacity ? But the problem is it only goes 15 mph. And a 14 inch wheel at that.
Friend, I would like to know what size these spokes are? I need to install a motor like this on the 20 rim, but I don't know what spokes to use. can you help me?
would this beat an elecric xp in a race
I would love to find out if you could build a wheel that I could buy for a build like that
Technically I could build anything. Its a matter of how much someone would pay for it. Wouldn't make sense unless it was in bulk, ya know?
The guy’s at the bike shop were right. Putting a hub motor on the front wheel is a very bad idea for many reasons.
Mainly the fork is not built for much more than to balance and guide the bike. The rear wheel is meant to support almost all of the rider’s weight. That kind of torque will break your wheel fork.
Secondly a lot of the power will be lost to slippage because 1/3 of the bike’ss weight is trying to pull 2/3 of the weight behind it.
Do one with front and rear 1000w hubs lol
“Damn no wonder you got a helmet on” 😂😂😂
The Freakin Shredder brought me here. You are Nikola Tesla reincarnate bruh. BTW do you accept custom jobs?
Haha thanks Pinoy. I am not accepting custom jobs at the moment, as I don't have the time or space to really do so. Maybe in the future.
WHEN XION BIKE DUDE
I'm running way behind, but its coming. Sorry for the delay
why is the motor in the front wheel?
easier fit ?
I put it in the front mostly to be outrageous. But I also didn't want to mess with the rear cassette.
@@NWforager kind of. But mostly for the shock value.
Mine is cheaper as I bought my folding bike brand new wholesale for $100 bucks out of the box
And my kit cost me 265
My ebike cost me $ 365
How many watts? What kind of battery?
What are electric unicycle riders thinking? ruclips.net/video/xQOAAem4ZRs/видео.html
Hub motors suck, and front hub motors are worse than rear. I wouldn't do it.
