Oh my word. I literally just now watched your clutch video 30 minutes ago. The entire video. I'm going to try it on my own this summer. Thanks for watching. Check out my timing belt video. You're in it.
I have mine for 9 years now.Raced it,drove it 60K kms until now, been in multiple track days and every time i hit the turns,i have the same feeling. You can feel the road and all the vibrations and sound of the car. From my experience,DO NOT skip oil changes and belts, they are fairely cheap, and since you can do it yourself there is no point skiping the timeline from Ferrari. Also, spark plugs can help from time to time. The main ''problems'' with the car are the engine and gearbox mounts. You can spot the failure easy.Engine mounts, the car is shaking a little bit more and gearbox mount, the exhust tips sit lower on their spot in the bumper. To add to the experience, you can put a pair of K&N free flow air filters and get that sucking-air sound from the intake like an old carburated engine. If you dont want to spend much money on an exhaust just unplug the air line from the exhaust valves so they are open all the time. For sure put the challenge back grill. It helps with the temps and also it kinda protects your alternator and AC compressor by lowering the temps in the engine bay. Those two seat just next to the manifolds and are prone to failure from heat sink.In addition you must put Michelin pilot super sports if you can find them, although the fronts must be a little larger than the factory dimensions. They transformed my car in all performance aspects.Never use Pirellis in that car.And last,do not fear the F1 as a system. If the pump fails,Alfa Romeo sells the exact same part for the selespeed cars and costs brand new around 200 dolars. The F1 oil lines are just lines that can reach 200bars and any machine shop can fabricate at a fraction of the cost.If you have any questions just ask!
There is so much valuable information in your comment. Thank you for taking the time to send it. I plan to keep up with the oil and belt changes just like you said. I do miss my old 1966 Chevy from high school and the sucking air of the four valve carburetor. Great tip about the Alfa F1 system being the same.
@@myferrari3603 Here in Greece(and in Europe in general)the Ferrari F1 pump costs 2500 euros, roughly 2800 dollars. The Alfa part from the dealership brand new costed 180 euros,so 210 dollars. There are also improved F1 pumps based on the Alfa part that have extra fins for cooling, like the head of a 2-stroke engine but since mine had lasted 55K Kms with 50% used on race button on,I didn’t bother trying a tweaked part. The main reason the F1 pump fails is that the relay stays open so the pump keeps on pumping(you will hear the noise if that happens)and overheats and fails. If something like that happens, turn off the car immediately, and press the kill switch next to your left knee. Then maybe you can get away with only a relay. The original Ferrari costs 85 euros BUT it is the same relay that BMW uses in their abs system and costs only 3 euros from the dealership brand new!

My two years of owning an 360 F1 was much like yours. I’m still glad you bought one to really get the full experience the good, meh and bad. I spent about a decade looking for one and got one and was surprised like you about a lot of the things you brought up. I’ve done two Mercedes transmission overhaul’s successfully in my one car garage and the 360 wasn’t too bad to work on either. I wish the Dr S manual conversion kit was available when I owned (just 13k for the kit) as I would have done it and kept the car a bit longer. A lot of these guys giving you a bit of negative vibes never have owned one. I sold my 360 after 2?years and got a 1969 Camaro. I’m glad I got a Ferrari and now it’s outta my system for now:). I also own a Subaru Ascent ( tows my boat too). Awesome review and keep rocking.
Once again thank you for your videos. We’ve had our 360 now for three years. This particular video is spot on ownership. I wish I had the talent and patience to video the things that I do on my cars. I have an F1 also and the Oil to water separator for the F1gearbox failed and it has to be replaced. The parts alone from SCUDERIA we’re over a thousand dollars and the prices were close to couple thousand lower than anybody else. BTW they are all Ferrari parts. While you’re in there you might as well replace a lot of parts, like belts, thermostat and so forth and so on. One of my biggest concerns is flushing the coolant system since it is compromised with gearbox oil. Just as much is the gearbox has to be flushed out of all the coolant liquid. Anyway once again thank you for all your videos and your honesty. Have a great day!
I would love to see videos of you and your 360. Please tell me the part number of the water pump you will use. I am confused which one I need. I also don't know how to flush the F1 system without a computer. I also don't know which computer to buy.
As a fellow 360 owner, I’d agree with most of what you said…other than the comparisons to your 2018 Subaru, which I think is too different in age and purpose to make any comparisons in technology or creature comforts. That’s why the 360 is best for occasional use not a daily driver.
My Subaru was the only vehicle I had to compare it with. Also, I figure there were enough reviews that would compare the 360 with the F430 or other exotics, I was trying a different take. Something for the common man such as myself.
I bought an 08 F 430 spider a few years ago. I absolutely love it. Mine shifts beautifully. I had a couple manual Ferrari’s for almost twenty years but honestly I’m sick of all that shifting. I’m over it. Although the benefit to them is they’ll keep their value and appreciate more than an F1. I avoid driving in any stop and go traffic. Not only is it horrible on the clutch to be on and off 1st gear, but I simply don’t enjoy it. It’s only weekends and holidays for me.

Thank you. I had been building a list for a few months of everything that surprised me about owning an exotic car. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your future purchase.
Do it, Hansel! Before they get expensive again..A decent 360 can be had for upper 5-figures, which is what any reasonably fast car costs. I think of it this way: the same $60-90,000 will get a limited number of cars in the ~400hp/~3200lb curb weight sweet spot, particularly if you want a manual. You can have a new Lotus Evora, Porsche Cayman GT4/Boxster Spyder, the new 'Vette (base model), maybe the new 400Z. Or, a 10yr old R8, maybe an Aston Vantage/DB9...or a 20yr old Ferrari. These cars all do about the same thing, with differences in feel, engine type, and new car gadgets. The funny thing about exotic marques is, they don't get driven, so all these options I mentioned end up with about the same mileage on them..
I will chose ff on your place..its almost the same money..with california You will have problems with battery every 5 days if You dont drive it,I look video …but ff is top ..I’m not owener..I was drive only in 812superfast with friend last year..and my neiberhood have 360spider before 15 years,on this moment I first time also see black Mercedes SL 55amg from 2002/3..and I must admit I was litlle more impres with SL.. but today my vote go to 360 spider..

Dude by the 1998 classic Sports Ferrari and complains not having blind spot and Lane assist a bit ridiculous I say... Just stick with that Subaru thing if it's all packed with latest technology I think that would suit you more
Wow...my 2004 F1 Modena drives and shifts really well. I wanted an analog sports car without all the electronic gadgets. Buy a well cared for 360 and you'll be very happy. And please don't get you oil changed at Jiffy Lube 😅
I misspoke. I went to Jiffy Lube for the emissions test. I changed the oil myself. I would never EVER take a Ferrari (or any of my cars) to Jiffy Lube for an oil change.
I was speaking to the common man, who, such as myself, a common car is the only thing they can relate too. What good is it to compare it to another exotic, if you never have experienced it.
I have given it much consideration. I think the kit runs about $20,000 plus an additional $10,000 for shipping and installation. If I did the conversion it would be after a major failure with my F1. Rather than fix the F1 I would just go with the conversion.
Slightly surprised that all these things surprised you surely you would have researched, there are thousands of videos. Also I think that the comments about the motorway - not sure how you make motorway exciting in any car except accelerating and that’s what you can do! No offence but comparing a 360 with some bland daily driver seems a little pointless
Hi Magic. I have enjoyed your videos and subscribed to your channel. Thank you for your comment. I know that there are those who will research for years before buying a Ferrari. I spent one week. I was foolish, but I was desperate to find some fulfillment in my life, and Ferrari was my answer. I have no regrets. As for racing, I agree that it should be very exciting. I had just purchased my 360 a few weeks earlier and had no idea how to drive it properly. I was very scared to damage it. I really should give it another go. I am just an average blue collar worker. My target audience for that video are other blue collar workers who fantasize about owning an exotic car. My point was not to compare the 360 to another exotic. I wanted a common point of reference that we could all relate to. Thank you for watching.

Yep. I had more money than brains. At the time I was in a bad place in life and needed something to feel better. I didn't even do a proper PPI. I got lucky and am very happy with my purchase. Thanks for watching and your comment.
@@myferrari3603 Well, my friend, you probably didn't do too bad. I've come to think of the 360 as sort of the F-14 Tomcat of Ferraris: It's as much 'last of the old school' as it is first of the new. New aluminum chassis, electronic stability and engine management (and the autoclutch transmission in yours), and much more maintenance-friendly than the 355 and older. Ferrari, I suspect, learned from the Honda NSX and built a more usable car. But..it's also still more metal & leather than plastic, curvy and analog, and has a (Ferrari's last) steering wheel uncluttered by buttons and dials. And of course a manual shiftgate can still be had.. The upshot is, I think these were at the nadir of their market value and will be going back up into six-figures soon, and they seem to be. Especially the manuals.. Incidentally, I found one just like yours, about a month before COVID descended. Yellow with black interior and the Challenge grille...but I did find the open shiftgate (!) Don't hate me. By the by...I had to replace the whole damned transmission a few months after taking possession. The whole transaxle had seized while putting the car through it's smogging routine. I'm convinced that it's just because the car sat still for a year at the dealer that I rescued it from...the advice to drive your car, and avoid the temptation to baby it in the garage, is on point. These things need driven, like the thoroughbred pony on the logo. And be sure to give it some proper revs; gotta warm that oil get it into all the little spaces.
@@n.w.1803 Thank you for your comment. There was a lot in it so I read it twice. I have heard bad things about Ferraris that just sit. I'm not rich, so if I'm going to invest in a Ferrari, I intend to have all the fun with it that I can.
I consider the 360 to be Ferrari's answer to the NSX...and I had a high school friend who was going to sell me a yellow Acura with targa top (for $35,000..about 10 years ago...ohhhh, if I only had money then). So now I had to get a yellow 360 instead.
@@myferrari3603 - you want cruise control stick with your civic. You don’t buy a sports car, especially a Ferrari, to sit in traffic, put in cruise control or have all the comforts of a normal car. I’m always surprised at these guys that go from a normal every day car to a high end, now “affordable” ( even in todays inflated market ) and do a video saying- OMG my car doesn’t have Bluetooth. Do you think the engineers at Ferrari were worried about making phone calls when you are shifting at 8k?
@Andrew P Completely agree. I believe that the death of the stick shift was in pursuit of faster lap times (that very few will ever experience) rather than pure driving pleasure.
Bro I’m sorry but you sound like you shouldn’t own this car. There is ALOT to exotic cars, especially once you looking back 10 to 20 years. The fact that you didn’t know what the f1 transmission was show your ignorant to Ferraris in general. And the tech gripes are dumb, these cars are about experience, sound, feel. Infact more and more people are buying older Ferraris, Porsches etc for that very aspect, things like naturally aspirated engines, manual transmissions etc. The 360 is an awesome machine, and if cared for should last a while. Ferrari engines are near bullet proof accept for some small issues and bad model years. The f1 transmission will need clutch work every 12 to 15 thousand miles expect it. But you should research what you’re getting into. Again things like not knowing it was aluminum, the f1 transmission, etc etc shows peeps how ignorant you are to these machines. Remember, a Ferrari is not a car, it’s experience, and it’s a collectible. If you think of it as a car it makes no sense. So enjoy the deep dive nerd world of really getting to know your Ferrari. I meant to say emissions test. I did the oil change myself.
That's a lot of good info for the average guy. I had a 308 a few years ago, I loved the car but I didnt trust it. A 360, 430 or California might be in the cards down the road.
@@felixmarks9352 I had considered the spider, but they cost more to maintain and I thought I would not put the top down very much. I was wrong.
Very good review 👌

Nice car you got there, Steve Carell!!!
That's not the first time I've been compared to Steve. An insult to Steve, if you ask me.
@@myferrari3603 right on! Then while you're driving your Ferrari too? I bet you do get that a lot!! Awesome Ferrari! ✌
Jeeeeeze .. as if a Ferrari by itself isn’t enough bling , Stevie Wonder must have picked out the colour.
I wanted red, I would have settled for black, I did not want gray.
Will u dedicate this channel to 360 alone?
That was the plan. But I sold it.
@myferrari3603 wait, you said in an earlier comment that you couldn't live without it. Why did you sell?
Nice you’re in slc too.

Big numbers of Ferrari afther red color are in Verona Yellow …but I also like gray color..
My favorites are the red and yellow. Black is a very distant third.
Yea..I also dont like black color on Ferrari ..but Michael Schumacher chose black color on his unique Ferrari Enzo…I like red, yellow, gray, silver, dark blue and white..but red and yellow are Identity of Ferrari..I must admit that f8 tributo looks bether in yellow than red..

Thanks for watching, and thanks for leaving a comment.
Nice car dude.
I’m planning to buy one in a few months.
Are you still like the car???
I very much still love my car. Thanks for watching.
Dude by the 1998 classic Sports Ferrari and complains not having blind spot and Lane assist a bit ridiculous I say... Just stick with that Subaru thing if it's all packed with latest technology I think that would suit you more
First, it is a 1999. Second, I was not complaining, just stating how things have changed.
I would never EVER take a Ferrari (or any of my cars) to Jiffy Lube for an oil change.
you compare a legend with a 2018 subaru? :|
I was speaking to the common man, who, such as myself, a common car is the only thing they can relate too. What good is it to compare it to another exotic, if you never have experienced it.
A Ferrari oil change at Jiffy Lube?!!!
I misspoke. I got the emissions done at Jiffy Lube. I did the oil change myself.
I feel the same way about my 430
(that’s Lexus SC430, not Ferrari F430) :9
You had me. Good one.
Ferrari is a driver's car. You don't need all that technology unless you can't drive. hahaha
That is something that I have learned and appreciated. I want to drive my car. Not have it drive for me.
“ The Car “. Lol 😂
It was out of respect. Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of Ferrari in vein. 😁
You should check out Gated Six or Normal Guy Supercar manual conversions
I have given it much consideration. I think the kit runs about $20,000 plus an additional $10,000 for shipping and installation. If I did the conversion it would be after a major failure with my F1. Rather than fix the F1 I would just go with the conversion.
A gated manual is quite a bit more than $20k extra
At the time I bought my car it was about $20k. Now I think it is closer to $50k.
Okay super helpful !!

What great car,, love mine
It is a great car. Thanks for watching.
@@myferrari3603 Fair enough, no I was thinking more for the highway ride, my fav is just pushing that accelerator, that’s what highway driving (motorway in UK) is all about! Welcome to Ferrari Ownership and the "Ferrari TAX". Where everything you need to do costs 4x as much as it should LOL. Find yourself a good independent shop and everything will cost half as much as the dealer.
I'm surprised that there aren't many options in Utah. So far I have been able to do all the repairs myself.
your 2018 car makes your 1999 car feel ancient? hmm i wonder why... my 2012 car makes my old 04 car feel ancient too, its weird...
More appropriately, my $36k car makes my $165k car look ancient.
@@myferrari3603 thats more appropriate! lol. good video btw.
Your paying too much for Insurance. I pay about $700 a year for full coverage for agreed value of 75k in Florida for my 360 Modena. SafeCo a Liberty Mutual subsidiary, that insures exotics.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I currently pay $142. I called SafeCo today and was quoted $213. Don't know why. It might be a Utah thing. But thanks again for letting me know of their existence.
I took a new Porsche Cayman over a used 360. I know I made the right decision.
To each their own. I'm glad you are enjoying it. I rather liked my Ferrari.
@@myferrari3603 The Ferrari is flashier for sure. But, just not as well built as a modern Cayman.
I have a 987 cayman S and am buying a 360 gated. But I’ll keep the cayman. Love all my cars. All different. I think a gated Ferrari is special iconic. Cheers boys.
I am absolutely astonished that you did zero research before buying a Ferrari - “I really didn’t know what to expect, I just knew I wanted a Ferrari” … really? The mind boggles. If I were you, I would stick to Subaru’s mate
@@myferrari3603 Me too! Sorry for being so verbiose..
Love my 1991 Acura NSX!!! Very reliable!!!
That is a wonderful car. It really changed the supercar world and made the 348 look pretty sorry.
I would trust driving the nsx across country. I would never trust a Ferrari enough to do that.
I consider the 360 to be Ferrari's answer to the NSX...and I had a high school friend who was going to sell me a yellow Acura with targa top (for $35,000..about 10 years ago...ohhhh, if I only had money then). So now I had to get a yellow 360 instead.
@@n.w.1803 Dry those tears. A yellow 360 isn't all that bad.
@@choward874 Neither would I.
I’ll never subscribe to your channel because you were surprised a Ferrari should have cruise control
Very well, you make me sad. But to be clear, I was surprised my Ferrari DID NOT have cruise control. Thanks for watching.
@@andrewp4220 Well, they do now. Every new Ferrari has Bluetooth. Sooooo.....
@@myferrari3603 - yeah unfortunately the current high end buyers market are more “flash the cash” than “true driver enthusiast”
@Andrew P Completely agree. I believe that the death of the stick shift was in pursuit of faster lap times (that very few will ever experience) rather than pure driving pleasure.
The Ferrari 355 was not a boxy car dude, come on man really😢
Granted, by the F355 Ferrari was entering the curvy 90's era. But it is nothing like the swoopy Ferraris that came later.
And it blows my mind you bought it without doing this research before hand lol
