My Ferrari 360
США
Добавлен 22 дек 2020
I’m just an average blue-collar worker who decided to buy a Ferrari as a way out of a mid-life crisis. My channel is dedicated to My Ferrari 360. I will highlight what it is like to own a Ferrari and repairing, fixing or DIY maintenance on my Ferrari 360.
I have sold My Ferrari 360
I have satisfied my need to own a street legal and fully functional Ferrari. It was been a joy and stress in my life. It is now time to be more financially sensible and let it go. There will be no more videos posted to this channel. I will keep it up in hopes that it still might provide education and entertainment to someone.

Not bad access. My Diablo VT Roadster and Murcielago Roadster you have to remove the driver side rear wheel, remove a panel and pull the battery out of a tray lol
My 2016 Maserati GranTurismo does the same thing.
haha, same frustrations here before I got me a Thinkdiag2 which I didn't expect much from but it has read quite a few surprise cars comprehensively. However, I had a question, is yours able to access the Body Control module or NBC?
Very nice video! I'm glad you didn't edit out the trials & errors.....that's how we all learn.
Get R compound tires, PPF or blue painters tape, cover the front and bottom sides, and have a blast on track. Learn how to drive it like it was meant to be driven. I own an Alfa Romeo 4C and thats what I do. It protects your car..
was it easy to adjust the PIS with this computer?
Bro I’m sorry but you sound like you shouldn’t own this car. There is ALOT to exotic cars, especially once you looking back 10 to 20 years. The fact that you didn’t know what the f1 transmission was show your ignorant to Ferraris in general. And the tech gripes are dumb, these cars are about experience, sound, feel. Infact more and more people are buying older Ferraris, Porsches etc for that very aspect, things like naturally aspirated engines, manual transmissions etc. The 360 is an awesome machine, and if cared for should last a while. Ferrari engines are near bullet proof accept for some small issues and bad model years. The f1 transmission will need clutch work every 12 to 15 thousand miles expect it. But you should research what you’re getting into. Again things like not knowing it was aluminum, the f1 transmission, etc etc shows peeps how ignorant you are to these machines. Remember, a Ferrari is not a car, it’s experience, and it’s a collectible. If you think of it as a car it makes no sense. So enjoy the deep dive nerd world of really getting to know your Ferrari. And it blows my mind you bought it without doing this research before hand lol
You are absolutely correct, although you came off a little strong in your tone. I intend to upload a video soon explaining why I bought and sold My Ferrari 360.
Lov8😂
Did it work? What is the normal operating temp stopped in traffic..? Mine is 210 plus now..was 190 prior to flush
My two years of owning an 360 F1 was much like yours. I’m still glad you bought one to really get the full experience the good, meh and bad. I spent about a decade looking for one and got one and was surprised like you about a lot of the things you brought up. I’ve done two Mercedes transmission overhaul’s successfully in my one car garage and the 360 wasn’t too bad to work on either. I wish the Dr S manual conversion kit was available when I owned (just 13k for the kit) as I would have done it and kept the car a bit longer. A lot of these guys giving you a bit of negative vibes never have owned one. I sold my 360 after 2?years and got a 1969 Camaro. I’m glad I got a Ferrari and now it’s outta my system for now:). I also own a Subaru Ascent ( tows my boat too). Awesome review and keep rocking.
I do not regret buying or selling my Ferrari. Like yourself, it is "outta my system".
easy to work on...?! LOL You obviously haven't done any work on it yourself? Just because there is space in the engine compartment doesn't mean its EASY to work on..!
Um, have you watched any of my videos? I've done a little work on it.
The Ferrari 355 was not a boxy car dude, come on man really😢
Granted, by the F355 Ferrari was entering the curvy 90's era. But it is nothing like the swoopy Ferraris that came later.
Where did you get your compressor from? Did you have to add oil and did you do any flush or anything or just take it to get recharged?
Given whats at stake, if I was going to replace something as important as timing belts on my Ferrari I would BUY A MANUAL.
Manual/RUclips - same same. But I was taking a big risk of something going very wrong.
Good video this guy is chill
I try not to take some things too seriously. Ferrari's are meant for fun and enjoyment.
Will u dedicate this channel to 360 alone?
That was the plan. But I sold it.
@myferrari3603 wait, you said in an earlier comment that you couldn't live without it. Why did you sell?
io non appena entro nel cambio mi da errore connessione ... sto impazzendo puoi darmi una mano ?
la tua ferrari modena di che anno è ?
1:30 geez I couldn’t even afford to register this car sad😢lol
Neither can I. That is why I sold it. 😢
Brutal
Agreed
puoi mettere link dell'acquisto ?
Aluminum doesn’t “rust,” but it sure corrodes. Plus, there’s hundreds of steel bolts and fasteners that can rust and/or seize in the aluminum threads. Beware of cars that have been exposed to salt
Very true!
“ The Car “. Lol 😂
It was out of respect. Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of Ferrari in vein. 😁
Wow...my 2004 F1 Modena drives and shifts really well. I wanted an analog sports car without all the electronic gadgets. Buy a well cared for 360 and you'll be very happy. And please don't get you oil changed at Jiffy Lube 😅
I misspoke. I went to Jiffy Lube for the emissions test. I changed the oil myself. I would never EVER take a Ferrari (or any of my cars) to Jiffy Lube for an oil change.
well, for 13k spent and ~1000miles driven it prolly would have been cheaper to rent one. Hassle free too. But I totally get it, we only live once.
For me, the point was the honor of ownership. Cost did not matter, or how long I owned it, or how many miles. I needed a street legal Ferrari in my name. I was happy that it ONLY cost me $13,000. 😀
Wow, that was painful to watch, all 9 minutes of it. He almost got T-boned, then the kerb, then the clutch, flip flop driving that flimsy ramp and the "gentle" accelerations upwards. Well, I subbed in case you posted some about the Boxster. Maybe a 10h white noise followed by an analytical video LOL.
I've been thinking about posted a video more on why I bought and sold the Ferrari.
Thanks for that 👍
Thanks for watching, and thanks for leaving a comment.

I'm not sure what you mean.
Dude by the 1998 classic Sports Ferrari and complains not having blind spot and Lane assist a bit ridiculous I say... Just stick with that Subaru thing if it's all packed with latest technology I think that would suit you more
First, it is a 1999. Second, I was not complaining, just stating how things have changed.
how about getting it into neutral eith a dead battery
Never thought about that. I was fortunate never to be in the situation.
A Ferrari oil change at Jiffy Lube?!!!
I misspoke. I got the emissions done at Jiffy Lube. I did the oil change myself.
I love this guy!
Aren't you sweet!
What a need. Doesn't understand sports cars....
No, I really didn't understand exotic cars at all. But I wanted the experience, and that is what I got. No regerts.
@myferrari3603 I respect that. I'm glad that your hard work paid off and you get those experiences.
If you want technology, buy a smartphone. 😂🎉This is a sports car, not a Tesla with a $100 tablet for an infotainment system....
Agreed.
Very good review 👌
Thank you for watching. I enjoyed putting the video together.
Right there with ya... Had a Lamborghini Gallardo and until you own one of these Italian exotics, you just can't understand the amount of attention you get, as well as the ownership stress if you're just a "normal" person... I've had a lot of "cool" cars over the years (NSX, E46 M3), but with this, you get attention from NON car people. Less "cool car! What year is that?" It's more "Who are you?" and "What do you do for a living?" People definitely judge you as well. You're automatically a "rich" asshole until you prove them wrong. They're amazing machines, and I suppose this is just part of ownership with these, but for me it was the least enjoyable part of the experience. I guess it's also the subconscious part of why these are special or we would have just bought a new decked out Corvette for the same price as this 20 year old exotic. That being said, we both can say we've owned an Italian exotic and while it's not the smartest financial decision, i know for me at least, when I look back as I am on my deathbed I can say I checked a bucket list box instead of dying with a little bit more money in the bank... Life is short, you're enjoying it in good health! Thanks for the fun videos and the glimpse into your ownership of the best sounding modern V8 Ferrari!
Thank you for the comment. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. But it is easy to say, because the buying and selling was easy, I didn't have any expensive repairs, and I actually sold it for more than I bought it.
I bought an 08 F 430 spider a few years ago. I absolutely love it. Mine shifts beautifully. I had a couple manual Ferrari’s for almost twenty years but honestly I’m sick of all that shifting. I’m over it. Although the benefit to them is they’ll keep their value and appreciate more than an F1. I avoid driving in any stop and go traffic. Not only is it horrible on the clutch to be on and off 1st gear, but I simply don’t enjoy it. It’s only weekends and holidays for me.
I found I drove it less and less. I sold it and bought a Boxster.
@@myferrari3603 Wow interesting detail here. Great video, and thank you for the update! Old Ferrari or more comfy Boxster are both on my list right now~
@@myferrari3603 will you make a video on the boxteR?
@myferrari3603 Do you still have the timing belt tools? I would be interested in purchasing them from you. Nice car! Seems like you enjoyed it!
Sorry, I sold them all.
Make and model of new horn? Did I miss the part where we get to hear it?
You can hear it at the beginning. I don't remember which Framm. It was cheap.
What is the name of the insurance company?
Hagerty
Old vid... but which model Torque was this? III? IV? V?
v3.0. it says on the back when he flips it over 8:00
How did you determine timing belt tension?
Literally by plucking it and listening to it.
I asked because I don’t believe you mentioned it in the video. Did you use the Gates app on your phone or other type of frequency meter? I’ve used both the Gates app and my Ducati cam belt frequency meter.
Cringe 100%
queste auto sono per noi italiani.....tieniti la tua subaru di mmmerda
Awesome video thanks, I'm about to replace my drier and some leaky schraeder valves. This is the early drier and the later 360s have a different drier according to my local shop who sold me the drier. I have a 99 with the early one also
It wasn't that hard, after seeing it done.
You can remap your F1 trans to challenge stradale spec .. that will improve drivability so to speak. Congrats on owning it .
That was my intent before selling it. I even bought a new computer for it.
@@myferrari3603 ah ok ... they are great driving and sounding cars for sure . I owned an 86 328gts had zero problems other than throttle return spring lol a trip to autozone took care of it . Great rumble from the transverse v8 .
Jeeeeeze .. as if a Ferrari by itself isn’t enough bling , Stevie Wonder must have picked out the colour.
I wanted red, I would have settled for black, I did not want gray.
you compare a legend with a 2018 subaru? :|
I was speaking to the common man, who, such as myself, a common car is the only thing they can relate too. What good is it to compare it to another exotic, if you never have experienced it.
Beautiful Ferrari! I hope to own a 360 someday soon while they’re still relatively affordable!
I only see the prices going up.
Awesome video! I’ve been curious for awhile how to replace the timing belts on a Ferrari 360. It’s a heck of a lot easier than the engine-out jobs on the 355 and 348 and so on huh lol?
If I can do it in my brother's garage, it can't be that hard to do.
