It might be that eating low carb is more important than the fact that you measure high ketones. At some point your body becomes very effective at making and using ketones. This might lead to measuring less ketones in the blood because you won’t over produce ketones.
So don’t be discouraged when the high ketones levels come down. As long as you do keto you’re good.
I’m very excited for you ❤❤😃!

in one of your previous videos you've said that you've struggled with disorderd eating in your past. You obviously don't have to answer this but I'm curious (because I've struggled with disordered eating as well) - aren't you concerned that going on a diet as specific as the ketogenic diet, which requires lots of control and measurements around food, could trigger your eating disorder? I'm usually cautious around diets because I don't want to fall back into the trap of thinking controling my eating and my weight/body will solve everything.

What is your target mmol/L of ketones in the blood? I aim for 3.5 but it took me a while (a few weeks out of 4) to get that high. I've been watching your videos and don't know if you shared your macros? I actually only average about 13 g of net carbs a day to get around a 3 mmol/L; otherwise, I get lower ketones. I was so scared watching you hurt yourself. I have the keto mojo too and now I don't mind it all though normally I have intense anxiety around needles also! You'll get used to it soon enough if you haven't by now. Do you measure your blood glucose too? Have you tried choczero for dessert? They have such good chocolates and seem totally keto doable. Also, I'm curoius about if you use mct oil every day and if so, how? Great video! Thanks for sharing!!! I would love to try the fat bombs :)

Can you talk about the protein restriction on keto this is what I find hardest about medical keto is having ti limit protein so much or the body just turns it into glucose also after exercise the body can break down muscle into protein and then glucose Because they need to refuel those muscles with glucose so exercise that is too intense or not eating enough fat is a difficulty in medical keto with muscle loss becoming more of a risk can you please talk about that and how you are managing to do exercise while in ketosis and not losing muscle as exercise is so important for mental health but gets more complicated with keto and it’s carb and protein macros. I understand that protein can be increased to adjust for exercise to stuff muscle wasting and loss but this is complicated and I’m not sure how that works. So can you please talk about the protein part of the medical therapy and managing exercise without muscle loss in keto as that’s a huge difficulty for a lot of people doing medical keto who feel that their exercise becomes limited or they need to adjust macros to avoid muscle loss and the keto medical diet and exercise are both so important how do you manage the the two thanks Lauren and rob

This is shot very well, it feels very professional. With practise it could only improve. I like this intimate documentary cinematography style.
When I can watch I do.
I've wanting to say -- the Candida Diet is very interesting. Similar to the Keto diet
If you fast for 3 days then you are essentially in keto.
The Anti-fungal (Candida) Diet is about cleansing greens etc also including low carbs.

    • @tashastarling6573
      @tashastarling6573 3 месяца назад

The goal of Candida Diet is to reduce your levels of Candida flora in your gut and body, so sustaining the diet for months and then keeping reasonable health should be easier from then on.

I feel ketone must be like an acidocidous of a kind that natural anti-septicizes the blood. (I am a little "silly" tonight drinkis)
The ketone state would help with fungal.
      Look into Candida Diet.
I consider fungus. Along with genetics. But essentially health is about environment and what your body cells have going for health and trying to hit homeostasis.

So what about eating carbs (like fruit) before/after workout? In theory, the result should be the same, you use up the glycogen stores which then are replaced by blood glucose, or by the liver gluconeogenesis, ie in both cases you would be in ketosis shortly after again

Ketones are made by the liver in order to break down fats. Your body uses ketones for energy when fasting, long periods of exercise, or when you don't have many carbohydrates. Low ketones are not harmful. High ketones can be very harmful and are usually a result of Diabetes which is not well controlled and results in Ketoacidosis, which can be life threatening. So before using things that are not prescribed by a medical professional, especially if you are randomly starting a diet, I would suggest you clear it with a doctor before falling head over heels with this stuff and potentially putting yourself at risk.

@@RachelAmbler Well. if you want energy from eating, your liver has to break down fats to give you that energy. To do that, it produces ketones. Now, if you would prefer NOT to have any energy as a result of your liver function and think that the word KETONE = HARM, you do that. I have advised that before using items not cleared by medical professionals and going on a diet not cleared by medical professionals, it would be a good idea to have those items and that diet checked. Any doctor would be able to advise how the liver works, how it breaks down fats, and how it provides energy. It's not unreasonable to suggest it.
