Your advice on going on the walk or workout and not worrying about dishes or cleaning the whole house before you take care of you was the best advice on this video. I sometimes feel so bad when things are messy and I feel the need to tidy up first almost like a chore before I'm allowed to workout. This is so true, we just have to get out there and take care of ourselves first.

Amber, I’ve done this a thousand times - clean the kitchen after breakfast first, make one quick phone call first, send one last email first…me first always. I started getting up early to workout so that I do my workout/walk before all else and there are no distractions. It sucks that I’ve started walking when it’s cold outside, but it also helps me bcuz I don’t want to mess up my efforts to wake up early and to rough the cold.

I'm old enough to be your mother and when I find myself on youtube, I usually watch videos of people my own age. However, I stumbled upon your video a few weeks ago and was hooked. I was shocked to see a young "homemaker' who was truly proud to be a homemaker. I love your simple clean life. I think I commented that you were a breath of fresh air. You are truly a beautiful person inside and out. We live in such a materialistic world and we need to get back to simplicity...what is important. You are very blessed to have figured out what takes many of us decades. God bless you.

Whenever I would see clutter in my house, dirty dishes, mountains of clothes, clutter… I would get discouraged to workout and would do the housework instead. You are right. Amy you look absolutely beautiful and so radiant!!! Like you I have lost over 90lbs in the last year. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve done but the most rewarding. Many tears were shed and many triumphs were celebrated. But it was the best thing I have ever done for myself, not my husband of 40 years, not for my grown children or for my granddaughter, but just for me and my overall health. I’m happier, healthier and have more energy at 59 than at any time in my life! So Amy I salute you and your journey and I celebrate your accomplishments!❤❤

Very good video Amy! I’ve realized I loss my “healthy eating”
Habit. I’m sticking with my 1500 calorie intake but healthy has taken a back seat. And for at least a week , I haven’t had a real loss. I had incorporated more sweets than I should. I’ve just lost my healthy.
I’ve lost 23 lbs on this weight loss journey of 2 1/2 months (or so) and I lost 20 lbs in the past 3 years. I’ll pass another goal soon and figure out a new goal.
    Thanks for uplifting me!

You have such a beautiful smile! Congrats on your weight loss victory! With menopause I became heavier than I’ve ever been and that was scary with both my parents being diabetic. Thankfully my husband and I each lost over 30 pounds over the past 3 months and are learning to make healthier choices. We worked out several times a week but without a healthy diet we were still gaining weight. The things that helped us the most:
Zumba dance classes (great cardio as well as fun music and supportive community) cutting out sugar and using stevia instead, keeping a food/sleep/exercise diary to be more intentional, cutting out late night snacking and alcohol, working with a nutritionist on a weekly basis, and dieting together.

Being one who has lost weight and dieted, the mention of changing to a healthy way of life is exactly what all of us need to think about when losing weight. Amy Fritz, you are 100% correct, that is the one thing we all should think about to motivate us and it works if you think that way. Excellent video and congratulations on losing weight the best way. Thank you for this. About two years ago I went to a holistic doctor and got a stool test and found out I had a bad bacteria in my gut. My primary just kept on telling me to lose weight. Even after some weight loss I was still hurting and feeling all the symtoms. Gut health is so important and nutritious foods help people on that journey. So I was put on a probiotic and prebiotic regiment, ate a lot better and started at 230 and went down to 170! A whole 60 pounds! I felt amazing. Sadly I got excited that I felt amazing and didn't teach myself about how to maintain that weight I had lost. So I started eating all my favorite foods again. I'm 42 now so you can only imagine how hard it is for me. So in a year and a half, while I'm not back at 230, I did gain 30 of those 60 lost and I'm feeling it. Starting my journey once again and this time I'm in no rush. Going to make small changes, prioritize walking and biking, eating better and getting better sleep. I hope I have the strength to do this. 🤞🏼

Thank you, I so enjoy these videos. I’m up to 11 lbs lost in 7 weeks and I feel so much healthier..more energy, my clothes fit better, my back stopped hurting all the time. I joined a weight loss program and paid extra for mental health course pack. You’re so right about taking care of mental health first.. I needed to first understand my behaviors that caused me to overeat regularly in order to change those behaviors.

You look so beautiful and healthy. Thank you for sharing this video. It takes courage to share this. I did this many years ago but after a few years, I had a lot of life changes and got really down and I started to eat to comfort myself. Before I knew it, I gained it all back. So, now I need to start again. I’ve been making excuses all year but I just know for my health more than anything I have to do this. Your video is so encouraging. I remember so clearly that “healthy feeling” you talk about. You’re right - there’s nothing like it. My Dr. Told me I added 20 years to my life! I am going to start again, thank you for the encouragement.

Your video is so motivating and the advice is very realistic. I have also struggled with weight gain since I was a teenager. Which was due to an enlarged ovarian cyst, forcing my hormones to be out of whack. So it was a unseen medical battle I was losing to. However since recovering from surgery I feel mentally and physically ready to amp up my health journey. So far I'm 13 lbs down over the course of 6 months. That is slow, but its weight down instead of up in years! I will definitely take your wonderful video to heart and prioritize movement. Thank you so much and keep up the awesome uploads 😎
