I just purchased a cat fabric panel & I knew I wanted it on the wall, but without a lot of fuss because it's bejeweled already. This is the perfect solution! I especially like the dowel pockets - ingenious! Thank you.
Oh, thank you so very much for sharing this!!!! :) I am a beginner and I want to make some Christmas gifts and I have the needed supplies, but I really wanted someone who knows what they are doing show me before I try, and you just did!! Have an awesome day and be blessed!!! :)
Wish you would have shown you putting the Peltex in so we could see how difficult/eas'y it is to put inside. Love your videos though, I'm a newbie to quilting.
I have an odd octagon shaped "porthole" type window in the stairway. The sun beats in during the late afternoon and the stairwell traps the heat. Rather than hang a curtain I wanted to do a panel as art. Had no idea where to begin, so I googled and there is your lovely tutorial to save the day! Thanks very much! You make it look easy. Hope I can do it too. :)
wish you would of shown it hanging on the wall . Im going to try this but am wondering should string be tied to the top dowel and hang it from string instead of the dowel so picture hanger hanging on the wall looks better with string hangin on it than just the picture hanger hanging on the wall poking out just above the wall Hanging ?
Thank You this information is just what I needed to know. I too have a beautiful holiday panel I want to hang over one on my glass doors looking out onto the patio from my eating area.
Do you happen to have a pattern for a child's growth chart? Saw some recently while in Amish country. They had cute animal characters at the top and used an actual dressmakers measuring tape.
I'm so hoping I get an answer on this. I know the video is a couple of years old. But, when sewing the hanging brackets, do the bottom two sew onto the backing fabric while the top two sew on the front? Or, do both sew onto the backing?
This is really delightful, like you I have not seen a growth chart for ages, not since my boys were little, forty odd years ago !!!!!!!!! As you say this has so many opportunities for any beautiful fabric, thank you for showing us :0)
I had the same problem. When it comes to fabric art, there are not many ideas to be found on the internet to hang them up. It's a shame, especially when wooden frames are so expensive. Also we might want to change the art around and it's not worth investing a lot on the framing.
You called it interfacing but I can only find stabilizer. And I know there is a difference between the 2. Also it only comes in either 15" and 20" wide. My hanging is 24"x24". So how can I piece it and it not have a weak spot?

How do I mail these wall art projects?? With the stiff pellon
My panel is 36" x 44" but Peltex is only 20" wide. How do I handle that?
Thank you, I painted on fabric a beautiful geisha for my sister's house, but I had no idea how to make the panel

Pretty great video!! I notice UR profile pressure n heavy thread n what kind of threads??? I like thick thread
Maria Goumas the thread is Mettler 100% polyester, it is a great strong thread, Color 561 and 712. have a great day
Where can you get peltex wider than 15 inches

Interfacing and stabilizer are pretty much the same thing. What we're looking for is something to firm the inside of the fabric
Where can one buy the stiff padding.I did not get the name of it, Could you please let me know.thank you
it is called peltex from Pellon. It is where the interfacing is
Genial.
