So pretty, you always come up with the most interesting videos. That idea could be used on any quilt but just coordinate the colours with the quilt........again another great job!

I wouldn't be surprised if after receiving this and coloring it, the child would then refer to its name as "Weekend at Grandma's Quilt". Yup, I'd piece this and quilt it like you suggested with your link to that "C" design (or even just a stitch in the ditch) before giving it to the child. After we'd colored it together, I might also show the child how to tie a quilt and help or let him/her do it in at least four places around the quilt (yes, in addition to the machine quilting). Then they could sort of show it off to their friends and others as "the quilt I made with Grandma".
Love the simplicity and colors of that border and showing us how easy it would be to make the corner square in a square blocks to fit right in. Thanks!
