I look forward to your videos so much. You make everything seem so easy and actually when I follow your directions things usually are easy. Thank you for bringing these tutorials to your fans.
I loved and saved this tutorial some time ago never thinking I'd ever need it. Lo and behold, here I am not knowing what to do with a small prayer panel I recently purchased. Well, Laura to the rescue! Thank you so much for your super clear and detailed instructions, Laura ♥️
I have purchased several panels from stores who unfortunately have closed for whatever reasons. Now with many thanks to you i now know how to actually sew them without them looking like I did them with my eyes shut. I truly enjoy your tutorials. Thank you
Another great video from you showing us lovely Timeless Treasures fabrics (love TT prints/colors!) as well as giving us your wise tips on how to apply your instructions to any quilt panel. No teacher fees from Laura, just more available money for pretty fabric. Thanks so much! P.S. I'd also like to have some yardage of that lacy feminine fabric in your blouse - especially if it includes the borders in the collar and sleeve's cuffs.
Another great tip! Love the material. Now I have seen this I will tackle a few panels I have but hadn't touch because of this reason! Thanks for sharing.
I sure enjoy your quilting videos. Did you ever finish that Violet Craft paperpieced Lion? If so I hope you did a video tutorial on it, I have not started mine yet, I am waiting for courage lol
Laura, your timing is perfect! I am planning a quilt for one of my granddaughters who loves horses using Michael Miller's equestrian collection. I am using a center panel which will be about 25 inches by WOF. I was wondering how to design it and how much of the coordinating fabric to buy. You have saved the day!
+SewVeryEasy I wear hearing aids and even with that I can hardly hear some videos but with your videos I can hear your voice very clear because speak slowly! like that!
Hi there. I love this but am a bit confused with the number of fat quarters i need to make the chequered border. Is it one fat quarter of each design or 3 fat quarters for each design. Many thanks.
I've never used a panel because they always seem wonky. I like that you did do piecing on the border. I always worry that people won't think it's a real quilt if I "cheat" by using a panel 🙂
Oh no...it is a real quilt! a panel is only a large piece of fabric....unlike fabric you need to make that panel straight and make it work! use them and have fun:)
