Thank you so much for the wonderful video! I bought a Christmas panel on a whim, some batting, and thought, "how hard can it be?" And then got home and had no idea where to start! This video is a lifesaver!

OMG Sheryl and Manny!!! Congratulations....I'm so excited for you. I got my first grandson and there is NOTHING like it!! Congratulations to mommy and daddy too. You all stay safe and blessings to you all !!! Ohhhhh I am sooooo excited for you all 👶💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤🤗
Great explanation of a beginners panel fabric quilt. Just what I was looking for. This is awesome, makes it so much easier to get started. Loved the zigzag tip before preshrinking the panel. I saved this video to review when I start my panel project.
As an 'intermediate beginner' seamstress, with my first GREAT grandbaby on the way….I truly appreciate your simple instructions on your tutorials. You have such a soothing voice also. Congrats on the new arrival...grandbabies definitely change your world, filling it with unbelievable joy! :-) Bless you and your family!! Stay safe!!
Congratulations Sherrill and Manny ..how wonderful...lots of baby sewing coming I guess. Burp cloths are great beginners project 😉. Take care everyone 😘💐
Congratulations to You and Manny and Mommy and Daddy!!! Love your Video and Thank You for it. I'm fixing to make a panel quilt and this video was perfect timing. Stay Safe and Blessings to all!!!
Thank you so very much for this detailed video. I have quilted before but its been awhile and this video was so helpful! My first grandchild was just born this week and I have been stalling on making her quilt because I was overwhelmed. This video is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you again!
Congratulations Sherrill and Manny ..how wonderful and exciting. Guess there be lots of baby sewing 😃👍. Burp cloths ore a lovely beginners project 😉. Stay safe everyone 😘💐
Thank you! I was looking everywhere for a video that explained how to do this. My daughter is turning 15 and I hunted the two panels of her baby blanket for years before I finally found them! The one trouble with these panels is that they are thin and wear out when you are washing them as often as you do for a young child. I highly recommend making two (exactly the same) for new babies, and holding onto one for when they grow up. She still has the rag that its become today and I wanted to make this for her as a surprise for her birthday. I've followed your instructions and t's looking fantastic.
Vielen Dank für das Video. Nun kann ich für meine Enkelin den gewünschten Quilt bis Weihnachten noch schaffen. Ich spreche leider nicht englisch, aber diese Video hab ich gut verstanden. Noch einmal 😊
Congratulations, my grandson is born in march, but since we are in lockdown in Belgium I have not hold him yet, but it is for out health. As always I have enjoyed and learnt a lot of the video. Thank you. Keep healthy
I'm currently on my break at my shift at Joanns and I'm looking for a good tutorial for an adorable bunny panel I stumbled upon 😂😂 when you mentioned joanns I was like "hey! That's me!!"
hi there, love your videos, sooo easy to understand and your voice is so calming! Did you happen to prewash the panel? I just did on my first on, now I have to square it up...Its going to make it look funny. Any idea? thank you in advance!
Hi Tammie. I did not pre-wash my fabric panel. Most people do pre-wash their fabrics. Make sure you do a zigzag stitch on the raw edges before pre-washing. This keeps the frabric from unraveling. Always press the fabric with an iron before cutting into the panel. Sometimes when squaring the fabric it does get a little crooked. Just try not to cut too much off if possible. I also recommend adding a strip of fabric on all 4 sides to help cover up any cutting problems. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Great video! By your demonstration, it appears that you sew with the polyester batting on the bottom? I was afraid that it might get stuck in the feed dogs so I sewed with the poly batting on top. A little tricky, but I got through it. Thank you for sharing.
Congrats on your good news!! I have a question, I am interested in making a quiet busy book for ages 1-6 and wondered if you are able to demonstrate that . thanks for all your help!
Now for the important part, what names do you want you and Manny to have your grandchild to call you? Choose wisely, Sherrill:) You are gonna love what is in store for you;) Thanks for sharing your talent!
Hi, Could you tell me the best way to add "hanging sleeves or corners" if we do not want to use as lap quilt or baby quilt and would rather hang on wall. Thx
Hi, Phoebe again. Tried to buy your cutting mat on Joanns' but it seems it's not available anymore or I was not looking right? Is there a product code? Maybe on one corner of the mat please? Thank you for your help.
Hi Phoebe. The cutting mat in my Joanns is near the thread/bias tape area. They are white and rolled up, and sitting in a large box. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
