Thank you for making a plus size sample. Absolutely stunning. I love that your video is short and to the point.
You are so welcome!
Crystal crystal crystal oh how I love you Crystal I’ve been searching RUclips for the past week for a cardigan and a 2X and your prayer was answered. I can’t wait to make this and submit a picture to show you how it looks thank
Beautiful shaping, stitch choices, and plus size also😘, gotta get busy with this one, Thank you🤗
Excited to make this one! I appreciate the plus size and the ability to adjust to bigger if needed. Thank you.
Love this...I've been looking for a long cardigan with a hood and pockets. This is perfect.
I really like this cardi! It’s nice and long and has a collar that can wrap right around you for cozy comfort. Thank you for this toasty looking sweater!
i am so glad you've enjoyed it. Id love to see your outcome.
Thanks for the pattern it makes up beautiful
I have previewed your Crystal coat and I'm looking forward to trying it. I am a beginner and your tutorial is fabulous!!! I can't wait to start. Thank you so much, best tutorial yet!!!! has everything I need.
You can do it!
Beautiful sweater. Thank you for the detailed tutorial. All the details helps me to understand. You are very talented. 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you!
Loving this stitch...been looking for a cardigan pattern this is beautiful
Thanks for sharing...new sub👍🏾😁
Happy Crocheting 🧶💞🤗
Hi Crystal. I'm such a sweater wearer and this one is gorgeous!! Very interesting how you designed the stitches in the pattern. I have to finish my WIPS from 2019 first but this one may change the order in which I will start first for 2020. I love it!!! Thank you so much. Excellent tutorial.
Cant wait to see it!
Love the way you explain.
Working one panel then splitting into side panels is a good idea. I tend to get bored with a WIP. Cutting out the additional work of making panels is much easier mentally.
Love this cardigan I love Cardigans with hoods. This one is definitely going on my list to make. Would be a great cardigan to slip on walking my pug dog Oscar LOL thank you so much for this pattern you do beautiful work.
Thank you!
Love this, it looks so cozy.
Beautiful Cardigan.
Thank you so much for sharing, I've been looking for a sweater like this.
im so glad! I'd love to see what it comes out like :)
Yo I love this video. I want to make one of these for my work place as they always have the AC full blast and want something to cover myself but also have a hoodie too. Cant wait to try it out.
You should! Cant wait to see it!
This is gorgeous! Thank you 💗
This is such a beautiful sweater that I am making one for my niece for Christmas but can you tell me if you have a separate video for the sashing and how to attach it please.... ❤️😁
Wow! I'm just seeing this! I'm so glad I found your channel! You have amazing talent and I'm loving everything! Thanks for sharing ☮❤🙂
Thank you so much, that’s so kind of you!
This is absolutely amazing! Just finished mine and love it!
Great to hear! Id love for you to share it in the Jolie Knots crochet community on Facebook!
Love, love, love it. Thank you for a great tutorial.👏👍🤗
Thank you!
Please let me know if we are to go around the coats outside to act as a finished look. Mine looks fine without it. It is the first coat I had the audacity to try. LOL you gave me the courage and confidence to attempt and it turned out simply beautiful, even with my limited knowledge. Thank you!
Beautiful as usual ❤
Wow , very NiCE!👍
Love this pattern !! Thank you !!!!
:) Thank you! I love it too
Thanks for this pattern .I really like the look of it only one thing. I need to do decide what color to make my first one in.
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for your vedio, just finished mine and im happy with what I got 😍😍
Great 👍 thank you!
Looks awesome on you! Ty
thank you!
Very nice project. Thanks for sharing.
thank you!
I really like this. The thumbnail photo on RUclips isn’t as nice. It looks like a bland tan color, but it’s actually the pretty blush pink that’s been so popular this year!
Very pretty
Thanks for the tutorial
What kind of knot is that you use to attach the yarn together ?
thank you! here is the knot. ruclips.net/video/xunTjMm2818/видео.html
Beautiful love this
Beautiful 😍 very nice 😊
Beautiful cardi!
Can you give us the measurements for xl size please.
I think that would be helpful
Thank you
Hello, thanks so much for your video! I have a question. When it comes to the sleeves, do you do a half double crochet in the stitch and on top of the stitch every time you go around, or just the first time? My sleeves keep coming out really big and poofy and I cant figure out why. Thanks very much again
Good morning. Very nice jacket please madam say how much cost this one.
I was wondering, can I make this without the hood on it? Would it at least have a little bit of a collar? The only reason I'm asking is not bc I don't like the hood, but bc I don't quite have enough yarn for the hood. Thanks what a beautiful cardi can't wait to finish it.
Yes, it would just have a collar, would look great still
Thanks a lot mam, I was just looking for this type of sweater and your explanation is also awesome but mam is 3X equivalent to 3XL?
Kindly reply me for the same and can you please upload a video of 4XL... kindly mam kindly. And if you're unable to upload a video kindly give the details for 4XL sweater 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes, correct, 3X is 3XL. There is not a pattern for 4X
Would this be a hard pattern to do in 4 or 5 xl? I'm just talking about to figure out the incdeases?
Thank you, love it!!
You are so very welcome!
Crystal, if I make this in a size 6 yarn, would I still use the 7mm hook and the 2XL pattern to fit a size L/XL? Or, should I use the S/M size?
I can’t say, really. Reason being I’m not sure how large a gauge you would be working with. I would make a swatch with both size yarns and see how big a difference it makes.
@@jolieknotscrochet3550, ok. Thank you!!!
So nice, I need to make this , I need pockets
Thank you!
Love it
Hi can i crochet tais cardigan with a 6,5 crochet hook instead off a 7 ?.
Hi thanks for sharing this beautifull cardigan...is it also available as " lefthanded"?
Yes, linked in the description box
If I make this with a 4 weight yarn instead of the bulky yarn, will I need to make it bigger or will it turn out the same size?
I havent dont that, so I cant speak positivley, it is oversized, so it should be ok. I had someone show me the one they made in a 3 weight yarn and she didnt have any sizing issues
Love this ♡♡♡
thank you!
جميل مشاءالله
I LOVE this but would like to make it with worsted weight yarn
awesome!
Hi, this is a lovely cardigan. Question regarding the belt; Are side loops crocheted on each side hold the belt or is it weaved into a side stitch? Thanks.
i just weaved mine through the stithes on the side.
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 Thanks.
Very nice😀
Thank you!
I’m working on this sweater and I’ve come to the point for the shoulder sections(33 stitches) and when starting the fist row to continue on with the pattern you start with the seven DC but end with three DC....... how would this work? Sorry if it’s something I should know but this is my first sweater..... it’s new to me
I figured it out lol
because you are starting in the middle of a repeat, splitting the sections.
Thanks
Exactly what I've been wanting to make! I'll be using Caron Cakes Chunky which is self striping.
Cant wait to see what it looks like!
I love this sweater. How can I make it ankle length?
Keep repeating before you split for the arms
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 Thank you. I know that seems obvious but since this is my first time I needed to be positive
Making the 2xl like you, my width is 80inches. Is that right? I did same chain count, almost up to underarms imma keep going.
yes, sounds about right :)
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 thank you
If I'm doing foundation stitches for the 2xl (171 chains), 168 is what I would need for it right?
Also would like to tell you your pattern is wonderful. I keep losing my cardigans that I buy so I figure if I literally put some blood, sweat, and tears into one maybe ill be hyper aware of where I put it down.
Do you guys think I can use the lion brand wool-ease DK cake yarn to do this I have a lot of it
Thanks 😊
ths pattern calls for a 5 bulky yarn, its a very large difference with the 3 weight, you can try, but you will most likley need to go up in size that you make.
JolieKnots Crochet 🧶 thank you soooo much for answering!
Hi beautifull cardigan i cant fond a 7 mm hook can i take a 6,5 mm hook?
you can, but it may change the size, only one way to find out...
Can u tell me how many grams and yards/ meters did u use to complete the sweater. I want to make one for myself and as I live in India this brand of wool is not available. The design is very beautiful.
www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crystal-cardigan-2
You can see the yardage on here ravelry page and buy the pattern there as well if you would like to. It's a beautiful cardigan ❤
thanks april! @Sobana, it also scrolls the yardage for each size in the beginning where the pattern starts.

If I use worsted weight yarn which size needle should I use?
I don’t know. I didn’t make one with worsted weight to test the sizing since i didn’t write the pattern in worsted weight
When we begin the panels do we start with row 4 or 2? Thank you!
ruclips.net/video/kYGBc1v9O4A/видео.html starting at the 12 minute mark, it states to END on a row 3, so your split will start with a row 4.
JolieKnots Crochet Thx!!
Can worsted weight yarn be used with this?
If you can maintain gauge with your hook
I am confused with the three panels . Didn’t show what to do with them. When right to the arms. So I’m puzzled
At 14:08 i give a very detailed explanation. All you are doing is whip stitching the top of the panels closed to make a shoulder. Did you need me to show you how to do a whip stitch?
When you crochet the hood, is it right side facing out? Thank you.
it doesnt matter, they are back/forth rows in the body and in the hood, you'll
JolieKnots Crochet Thx for answering so quickly. I love making this.
Am at the finish line. I love this cardigan. I’d like to add belt loops, do we put them at the side seam and how wide? Same technique as the sash? Thx a million! I want to make it like yours and not improvise. :)
Question Why No On Has No Top Down Halfdouble Crochet Videos For A 2x Cardigan?
i dont understand your question....
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 Question why doesn't anyone crochet a Halfdouble crochet topdown cardigan 2x that would be nice.please
I like but without the hood. Is it optional?
of course, you dont have to add the hood.
How many ball did you use to complete it.
Balls have different yarn amounts, I can not answer that accurately, but it’s stated the yardage you need in the video and written pattern
I cannot find a 7mm hook. What letter size was used? K or L?
it was a 7mm, it does not have a letter.
There are some hooks with just numbers on them, but if you have hooks with numbers and letters, I find that the K hook would be equivalent to the 7mm hook. Hope that helps someone.
Woooow, ❤️👌
thank you!
wow
I'm sorry I just don't understand the middle section. I have not crocheted to the armpit yet. I was wondering how the middle panel is supposed to work.
you will separate them then into 3 separate parts. place your stitch markers and work each panel separate.
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 how do the parts come together? I don't understand.
@@suzihorn6715 you will seam them at the shoulder.... its all in the video.
CAN THIS BE MADE IN A 4 OR 5 XL?
I’m sure you can make it larger, i didn’t write to that size, but i don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to make it bigger
THANK YOU 😊
🙂🙂🙂🙂
What size is a 7mm hook
A size 7mm…. ?
Sottotitoli in Italiano? Grazie
Traducir a español por favor
Dommage pas en francais et en grande taille
The size goes up to 3x, don’t know what you mean about no large
Si querés que yo pueda aprender de tú trabajo tenés que enseñar despacio no aprendí nada de lo que mostrate
This was the first time purchasing a cardigan pattern, I’m not impressed. With the written or the RUclips pattern. You don’t give stitch count thru out the pattern, you don’t show how to put it together for a first timer. Written pattern was a waste of money and time. I kept going, hoping it would get better. It did not. Sorry would not recommend this for a first timer or other wise. 😢😢😢😢😢
I’m so sorry that as a first timer, you could not figure out the pattern. I am not a beginner channel, there is no assembly, only folding it over and seaming the top, as shown/stated.
Love this pattern!!! Thank you
Thank you!
Wow
