I love that Metallica shared “some kind of monster” with the world, it really showed that they are human and imperfect. Took a lot of strength to share that intimacy.
I’ve seen them three times: once in 94, once in 96 and once in 2017 and they were great all three times. I told my wife when we went to the show in 2017, “you’re going to see 13 year old me. Don’t laugh. I just love this shit.” The power and energy was just as amazing in 2017 as it was in 1994. It was different, but just as awesome.
I saw them at day on the green in 85, on monsters of rock in 88 and in 94. So much energy given and taken. I found your 13 year old comment funny because it’s basically the same thing I told my wife when I took her to see KISS in LA when they put the makeup back on. Good to feel that every so often
Awesome. Well said, Kirk. Under the black flag, we are all one. As a culture of outsiders, metal brings us together. Metals is a cathartic lifestyle. Great content AGREE ✌️🤘🇦🇺☠️🏴
When James fucks up a musical part, the band stops and has to start the song over. They certainly all have fuck ups. Maybe not Robert lol unless he grabbed the wrong bass for the tuning.
@@brutalplanetmagazine True. And I was a Metallica fan when Cliff died. I remember. However, the band’s trajectory was definitely on the rise and Jason certainly helped them reach their peak success. When he left something went out of the band and it’s undeniable.
No, they didn't. They changed! As everyone in life!! They will NEVER be as in the 80's, the 90's... And they keep evolving! Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVED Jason. This guy was a show monster, a real beast. But, even tho, I loved the 2 shows I attempted in Paris last may. It's like the finally found peace, like they've finally accepted who they are and who they become. I love the grandpa's they're now! They still got it so bad! MetallicA is THE band you have to watch live, even if you don't like the latest record. I've been hearing the critics since the black album was released. The same, over and over again. Yes, load and reload are not kill'em all. No, death magnetic is not AJFA... But, damn it bro, I swear, any songs they play live are awesome. They are a LIVE band. And, yes, trust me buddy, they really still got it. As grand daddies, sure. But still... Peace bro ! 🤘😎🤘 And go check them, the M72 Tour is veeeeeeery pleasant to attempt. The 2 shows in Paris were the 16th and 17th times I saw them live since 1996. And, I'll repeat myself (but Sooooo fuckin' what!! 😉), they still got it. Well... Peace again! 😇
@@brutalplanetmagazineMetallica was the greatest metal band of all time representing attitude and rebellion now it’s about safe spaces and safety. Unbelievable.

On what kirk said, Met so many people going to see Metallica in different places, going to my first camping festival, and having a young couple take me under their wing because I didn't know how to set up my tent, another couple swapping seats with me in copenhagen because there was a drunk annoying guy next to me because they could deal with him better being able to speak his language - then we went and partied till 5am. Over in indio for the Big 4, a hispanic guy seeing my british white ass getting TOASTED in the sun and offering me sun cream. And those moments you have with any given fan where you look at each other and sing the lyrics at each other, god damn, it is amazing how we can be brought together. In those moments, we don't let politics divide us, it is beautiful.
I saw KISS when I was 15 (Creatures of the night tour) & a drunk guy climbed up on the backrest of my & my buddies chairs. He was holding on to our shoulders & kept losing his balance, pulling on our shoulders & nearly dragging us down. I flipped sideways & let him fall, curling up like a U between the two rows. He tried to get in my face about it & I told him I'd punch him in his mouth if he climbed back up on my chair. He wandered off & I saw him walk by about 15 minutes later, face covered in blood where he pissed off the wrong dude & tasted Karma.

Totally agree
I didn't like James after that movie
Hah...it exposed them as coddled frauds. Hetfield's tuff guy posturing is laughable after witnessing his ridiculously fragile behavior.

I was at the Saxon show at the Whisky when Metallica opened up for them, amazing how big they got after all these years.
Rather have metallica make mistakes than play to a tape
A-F**KING-MEN
2:57 Kirk has become quite an attractive Portuguese grandmother.
🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Honesty is My Only Excuse.
These guys are only human. Everyone makes mistakes
One time live at a show during the black tour in Arizona , James sang the same verse twice during Master of Puppets
Love it Metallica with my club Ajax on the background......
Also Lars:
It OK to make mistakes!
these guys a treasures
💯💯💯
Amazing thanks
🙏🙏🙏
I see their all career as a catharsis process, not only their music but more and more them as individual willing to relate with others.
👏👏👏👏
🤘🤘
They just human they gonna make mistakes plus being older greatens it
Lars likes to feel safe
Metallica talk about making mistakes live? Should be a 2-hour, Lars-only episode.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I listened to intro music and got pretty hooked and when it stopped, I went to listen to more thrash grindcore.
just sayin.
We cover a lot of heavier bands but need to do more... suggestions are always welcome
Kirk and Lars have clearly faded … poor rob is flat he looks lost on stage but that was from day 1
James is sharp he deserves better bandmates
I don't know about that
Metallica took a downward spiral after Jason left. It's just the truth.
A lot of people said this when Cliff Burton died too.

They still exist, where others don't. Got to appreciate that. You'll never see Slayer again.

I wish lars could shut up for just five minutes
lol
Lars makes mistakes.....
He's only human like the rest of us
Has Kirk got new teeth?
Yeah, the band surprised him with new teeth.
HA HA HA HA
So has he?
After Jason left the sound and quality went to sht
no it didn't
I don’t agree
People said the same thing when Cliff passed away and Jason replaced him though... it's a matter of opinion
Because Jason was working at the PA as well?
Bro... Come on... 😉
A lot of crossed legs.
lol
What's up with Lars and the toothpick always.its gross

Metallica talking about safe spaces wtf
