I saw an old man drive one of these in Monaco entering an expensive hotel by the Casino. This car is old money/old style Benz but for enthusiasts. Great video
Being a pillarless coupe, this S63 feels like it carries the torch for so many old Mercedes that are no longer being made. I love Mercedes Coupes and owning a CLK, I feel a closer connection to this S-Class Coupe than the newer CLE-Class for some reason and that doesn't seem right. Hopefully the new CLE 63 will change that!
This car was my dream car since 2015 when it came out, I was 14 than. Thankfully I was able to actually buy this 2018 facelift model at 21 , been driving it daily for past 2yrs. Best car ever in my opinion. Combination of luxury, power, sound, looks... sadly there won't be new ones...

Cool review! Thanks for making it. I am truly blessed (and grateful) to have settled into an AMG S63 Cabrio after having Ferraris and Porsches in my younger years. An amazing car, though something about the lens of your camera doesn't show the size of the car well. It is really big. It is longer than our Range Rover Sport and weighs 4,800 pounds. But it is truly the perfect hybrid between phat S Class cruiser and raucous V8 beast. Purrs like a kitten in Comfort mode, and barks like a mad dog in Sport mode. The U.S. 5.5Ls dyno at 605hp, even though they only claim 585hp. And with all wheel drive (here in the U.S.) it handles surprisingly well. Of course, it is a GT, not a lightweight sports car, so it can't compete on sheer handling with those cars. But I don't want it to. This car is the dream cars of my youth all wrapped in one: the 560SL, the Cutlass 442, the Shelby Mustang, the 560SEC, and so on. And my family of four all fit comfortably in it with the very, very large sunroof open :-)

Check for oil in the wiring from leaking cam adjusters/sensors and replace them. I have the M157 in my CLS63S and if you have this problem, it can be a very expensive job. Luckily I avoided it.
Its quite sad that Mercedes stopped the production of these beautiful coupes, but after i see what they're doing with design on newer cars, engines etc., its maybe good these cars ended in the best design and motorization and haven't been ruined by nowadays production.
Audi does not. BMWs M8 is also VERY much in this direction. Nevertheless it doesn’t reach the class of the Mercedes. BMW is just too sporty and less “royal”

In my opinion, a close second. The best review channel, again in my opinion, is Throttle House(*). Their reviews are around the same quality as this channel (though a bit more in-depth) but they also do timed track laps with most of the cars like Top Gear used to do, the chemistry between those two is amazing and they do these hilarious sketches as the cherry on top. That said, I watched more AutoTopNL videos in total because they have been going for a lot longer, which also means that a lot more cool cars have appeared so far (*) And the worst is CarWow. The "wow" in the name stands for "WOW, that guy is annoying"
