It's not 'cheap plastic' - it's just a material which will last for years while being used constantly. Believe me you don't want leather/material/etc on buttons or near handles etc. They know how to do this :P
True. It's like the hard plastic you get lower down on the door. Matt always moans about it. But it's the area that easily gets the dirtiest, so having harder material usually makes it easier to clean. As long as the whole door is not like it, I'm fine with some hard plastic on car that I can actually afford. But on luxury cars then yeah it's not good.
I definitely like that the S560 coupe is basically a budget AMG. Yes the M176 and M177 share the same block and bottem ends. For the M176 in the 560 it has different heads and turbos but imagine the tuning and upgrade potential for these!

The Truth why not try them for yourself. I have tried them all and iDrive and MMi lead the field regardless of what your favourite brand is. Even the vw system is far superior to what Mercedes offer. The MBUX system is an improvement and makes it up to standards now but nothing beats the simplicity of what the others offer. I have been using iDrive and MMi also good with the discover systems for the last 2 years now given we have VW’s, and BMW’s in my family. My earliest memory in fact was on the iDrive system on the 7 series back in 2006, iDrive has come a long way since then and now is one of the best along with VW group systems
The Truth we get new cars every few years, each time we basically test out every german vehicle in the same class so we have tried a lot of Mercedes vehicles mainly the S class though, I have briefly used MBUX last month and it wasn’t as good as what bmw and Audi have no doubt about that. And to claim that Mercedes owners have a higher intellect is just proof that you are strictly biased regardless of what the reality is, for that reason I won’t continue this conversation given you fail to accept any other views. I’m not biased, I don’t like strictly one brand, in my family we have an Audi, Seat, VW and BMW so again not biased at all because unlike you I’m not saying the 7 series had the best system, i know for a fact it doesn’t because I have been in many Audi’s and know the virtual cockpit and google earth satnav can’t be offered by any other auto maker and the only one close to offering that is VW on the T-roc and other models with the option of the large map, not even cars like the golf or arteon have this yet. But of course believe what you want but I don’t see why you need to comment about it on these videos because a lot of people want actual decent comments about the car not bias and it’s clear when people are biased as they get antsy about a simple statement which is correct. One of the reasons for the "cheap plastic" is that it's more easily and readily replaceable. Those parts you pointed out are high use parts that are more prone to excess wear and damage compared to other parts.

Jannib Andelo Bayutas still driving the clk, it has 210k on it now and still going strong, however i’m eventually switching to bmw, a 2014 328i probably. It’s nore economical and performs better than our clk. I also learned how to drive with my father’s bmw so it’s also a nostalgia/personal preference thing i guess
The “leaning in the corner system” is already present on my Jaguar XJR from 2004. My XJR is also equipped with adaptive cruise control which keeps a distance from the car in front of you automatically. It also has a very responsive touchscreen, yes all that in 2004! And no the maintenance is not to bad. It also has 400 hp enough to have some fun. Also very comfortable, so this Mercedes is 15 years older and not very impressive compared to my XJR considering it’s way way way older.
Correction. The Magic Body Control uses a hydraulic system instead of air suspension aka Airmatic. The previous generations had the ABC (Active Body Control) and they also featured a hydraulic system.
I think a lot of rich people knows that millions comes from cents and unless they’re in the entertainment industry, most of them is quite humble. I was just a kitchen helper back then when one of those rich business owner fetch me home with a GTR (which is a lot in Malaysia)

The Mercedes S Class Coupe is the ultimate luxury coupe. I like the S Coupe steering wheel control buttons, the nice infotainment system, the sunroof, the perfume dispenser the usable back seat and the nice car design. The S class coupe is a powerful and comfortable sport car.
On an area that will be touched and scratched repeatedly by finger nails, the best solution is the so-called "cheap plastic." Especially when you need to colour coordinate.
Rode in this beast yesterday... damn... the engine sounds amazing! The seats are also ultra comfortable, it's a big step up from the A7 2015 I currently own and I do have comfort seats. Wish I could get this one.. damn it's that good.

@Ilievich07 Did you watch the review? Nearly all Mercedes cars in EU or the UK atleast that are right hand drive are slightly off-set to the left. It should be bang on centre in the middle to accomodate the driving experience without leaving the body slightly twisted. Every car steering wheel position should be like that especially if you’re paying 90k!

Probably the best coupé you could buy for 90k. Thankfully Mercedes skipped the new CLS design language on this one.

Rode in this beast yesterday... damn... the engine sounds amazing! The seats are also ultra comfortable, it's a big step up from the A7 2015 I currently own and I do have comfort seats. Wish I could get this one.. damn it's that good.
Got damn even after so many years Merc are still placing their steering wheels off-set to the left in whips that cost over 60K+ ain't that some bullshit.......

@Ilievich07 Did you watch the review? Nearly all Mercedes cars in EU or the UK atleast that are right hand drive are slightly off-set to the left. It should be bang on centre in the middle to accomodate the driving experience without leaving the body slightly twisted. Every car steering wheel position should be like that especially if you’re paying 90k!

Perfect vehicle. Just beautiful. Competes respectably with Bentleys and Rolls Royces that are anywhere between two and five times the price.

TheHvk it doesnt even stand a chance against a used rolls royce.. maybe against some bentleys but rolls royce?? boy thats a completely other sector of car.

Aaron Powell rolls royces dont depreciate at all, try to buy a used phantom, the car will cost you still 300k even after many years. meanwhile the s-class will cost 50k after just 4-5 years
@@questionyourself718 Found a 2005 Phantom with 12k miles for $90k. Found a 2012 ghost at 40k miles for $100k. On the other hand, I found a 2009 57s Maybach Benz with 40k miles for $100k. Mind you, these are just "overpriced" California listings. They'll be cheaper if I start a nationwide search.

Realised Matt when reviewing as Merc always seems to nit pick over a BMW.. not one other reviewer has ever stated that Mercedes latest media system is worse than BMW I drive
But this car doesn't have an MBUX. It has an older system.
