  • Hey, ya'll! Today's video is another YOGA POSE TUTORIAL where I teach you how to get into some of yoga's most commonly used poses. Today's pose is LOTUS POSE or PADMASANA. This was pose tutorial was suggested by one of my subscribers, THANK YOU! Lotus Pose is great for stretching and strengthening the quads, ankles, groin, and hip flexors. Lotus Pose can be challenging if you have tight hips or pain in your knees, so I was sure to include some modifications. Be mindful that it can often take time to get into certain yoga poses, so don't be discouraged if you don't get there right away. Always use modifications as needed, don't force anything that feels wrong or painful, and come out of the pose if something doesn't feel right. If you have a pose you'd like for me to do a tutorial on, leave a comment down below! Hopefully this video is helpful. Thank you for watching!

The part about rotating from your hip and not your knee was particularly helpful; I've not heard that before but it definitely makes sense. I will keep that in mind when coming into full or half lotus from now on! 😊

So helpful i notice early on you did the lotus seat. I was so amazed that you would get both feet by your hips, i can only do half lotus but, now that i saw you in cluded the block under the hips, i will give that a try now. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TEACHING.💖
