    I owned a 2003 Montero Sport XLS and owned it from Jan 2014 until Sept 2020. Mitsubishi makes wonderful products and the U.S. market has been short-changed for years. This new Outlander is a lot of car for the money.

      I’d love to get my hands on a Montero man I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. New outlander is also pretty awesome haha hopefully it brings Mitsubishi’s reputation back.. appreciate your comment!

      I wish Mitsu still exported the Montero and the Pajero to us here in the states. The 2022 Pajero looks amazing. Maybe with increased Outlander sales they'll reconsider and send us the Montero again

      @warcrabcyber9908 2 года назад +2

      Check out speedkar99 mechanical review on the 2021 santafe. Hyundai and kia uses the theta engine and they are not reliable. they were already subject for recalls for engine failure in the latest models of Tucson and palisade.
      Tucson and palisade use gasoline direct injection which suffer from carbon build up. If you plan to keep your vehicle longer than 5 years get an outlander or rav 4. Tucson ,santafe and palisade are better for leasing. They don't hold up long term.
      The dual clutch transmissions are very bad as well in Hyundai and kia.

      @@keyner111 Made in Japan but it only has 70 percent of japanese parts in it. My 2018 outlander sel is made from 100% japanese parts. And it also has actual mitsubishi engine, unlike this nissan outlander.

    It's a pretty good product, but I feel like if it is missing a little bit of horse power and torque for 7 passengers.
    Hopefully they fix it with the plug in or hybrid versions.
    Opinión?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 года назад +1

      The PHEV will certainly boost performance quite a bit. As it sits, it’s not fast by any means with an 8.6 0-60 time however the low end torque is sufficient. They tuned the throttle well with the cvt so for daily driving, it feels strong up to about 30-40mph and still pulls at highway speeds. If you want a 0-60 time closer to or quicker than 7 seconds I’d definitely wait for the PHEV.

    Would you recommend this over a 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 года назад +1

      Probably yes. I haven’t driven the new Cherokee’s, but most people I know that have them usually don’t recommend them whereas 2022 outlander owners seem to be really happy. Once I drive the new Cherokee, I’ll give you my own personal opinion!

      @@JBLynch Not much more I can tell you other than they are very good vehicles. I would highly recommend you do some research and book a test drive or two. They are also very reliable. Of our Mitsubishi's all 3 have more than 200,000km on them, the highest being nearly 450k. They hardly ever break down, and require minimal maintenance other than the regular oil change. Plus they are a great drive. Very nice, smooth, and simple drive. I suspect you'll love them.
      Overall, I Highly recommend.

    Bro what to do with the spare tyre situation, if i live regional and would be often driving out of network areas? Carry a spare tyre in the boot?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 года назад

      This car comes with a fix a flat kit, where all you do is attach a sealant to a compressor, and simply pump your tires back up with the sealant stopping enough airflow to get you where you need to go. I wish it had a spare too, but there’s simply no room for it with the 3rd row, and limited space between the rear axle and bumper.

    Has come a long way………..
    Hopefully, the Outlander GT V6 will return………..albeit, much more improved like this:
    3.0L DOHC MIVEC V6 (now with Variable Valve Timing) 281hp @ 366Nm
    (no longer an old spec SOHC V6 224hp)
    Now that this is officially Mitsubishi’s largest SUV in their staple (to slot above the Eclipse Cross and Outlander Sport)

      100% agreed man maybe even that 2.0 VC Turbo engine would be a really solid upgrade. Any upgraded engine option would do absolute wonders for this outlander. The phev will probably help a lot, but it’d be great to see a true engine upgrade at least as an option. Thanks for the comment!
