Bought a 2020 outlander Sport limited and was blown away by the quality and ability to handle Michigan winters. 2022 came along and i just recently found a 2022 Outlander GT....2.4 L....So smooth and a joy to drive. Both made in Japan 98% Japanese components. Keep up on the maintenance ESPECIALLY the CVT. Can't ignore the trans. fluid and filter. Big trouble if you dont keep up on it.

I have this equivalent model in NZ , also with the optional grey interior. My best mileage is 16.7 k per 1L ,average around 11.4L. I have really taken a while to trust the quick steering and the inability to feel what the car it doing in corners. But a recent blast through a twisty section with tarmac selected ,it all came together, it's like a limpet on the road and handles really well. I also live on a 20 plus degree driveway and pulling the door closed has loosened the armrest on the drivers side, but with just 5200k on the clock, that's all i can say has gone wrong ,although i did have the towing eye cover on the front come off whilst in a car wash, but thankfully ,no damage. I'm impressed ,it's a great car overall.

    Hi Brian
I agree with your comments, Mitsubishi Outlander offers great value and features. We liked it so much that sister and sister in-law, each bought one.
Dd you notice the hood flutter at highway speed? I believe there is a class action lawsuit on it in USA filed in Massachusetts federal court
At our last oil change the dealer said they will replace the whole hood.

Hello, first I would like to say I really like your review. May I suggest you do a comparaison between Outlander PHEV and Santa Fe PHEV 2023. I'm considering both, I'm on both waiting list. The Outlander can do more km on electric, it has a better warranty, better government rebate, but I believe Hyundai has a better reputation, better cargo space, very well equipped on the basic model. I don't know about the price yet, I think to Santa Fe will be a bit less expensive.

Compared to the previous generation Outlander, the new Outlander is heavier (+200kg) and has worst NVH. The "new" Nissan engine needs a pension (2001) and it replaced an engine that was heavily criticised for it's age, but first appeared in 2012.
