Just purchased a 2023 Outlander SEL Black Diamond. Love it. Good gas milage with the 2.5L, but not enough drive train to tow heavy. Beautiful vehicle. All the modern gadgets. $10,000 cheaper than a 4Runner or Pathfinder. Smooth ride and very comfortable. Good job on the video.

You nailed it 👍, it's a good different. But also what I liked about this vehicle is that the price it great for what you get, because every other new SUV that comes out from a 4Runner and Sequoia and etc are overpriced on every level, when all vehicles are done the same, all plastic lol. 😮

Shame they put such large wheels on so many of the trims. If they were 18" or 19" the ride quality might not be so rough on bad roads. But, that's what you get going with looks vs. function.

I'm going to check with my local Mits dealership and see if they'll put the 18 inch wheels that come on the base ES trim onto the SE I have been liking. I'm willing to just give them the more expensive 20 inch wheels that ride so ruff. If always driven on nice smooth roads, it would not matter. But I drive in the real world on real roads.

It's the damn tires, they have so very sidewall to cushion the ride! The vehicle needs 60 series tires, perhaps 235/60-18 inch wheels. It would vastly improve. I believe the base ES trim comes with more rubber.

I would like to believe you, but i've driven multiple trims of other car models with different wheel sizes and the ride quality stays practically the same.

Never mentioned what makes the Black Edition different from the regular SE trim....

      Black wheels and black trim.

Maybe the drive mode has something to do with the feel of the bumps on a regular street

How does this car feel when on tarmac mode?
