I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember and through them I found a way to break out of whatever issues are going on in my life, thus they're now something I could never give up on because they've become a part of who I am, like most of my fellow gamers. Most people tend to say it's just a video game because they haven't experienced something like this before, the pain or happiness or grief or sadness of a character you can identify with, but once you go through what they go and you find yourself relating to it, it makes you feel whole again. It's a lot more than just a video game.
Some games are just different, they stay with you forever, will never forget the feeling after finishing TLOU that first time, the feeling you get from RDR2…

I've seen quite a few of these but I am yet to find one that moves me. Don't get me wrong, all of these are wonderful and emotional and I'm just a twisted individual that has been through a lot and needs a lot to be moved or feel emotion. All of these games gave me that, that connection, that loss, that shiver on my chin and blurry eyes... but I am yet to see one of these videos that tugs the strings. The structure in them is wrong. They all show anything in their whole duration instead of introducing, rising the stakes and then hammering home in an explosive climax. There's a reason stories have introductions, development, climax and resolve. I want to see one of these that makes my tears run.

Son: mom why do you always cut onions we don’t even use them?
Mom: your father used to cut them for me, I asked him the same question once he simply said, “My mother used to cut them for me after dad died”.......
RDR2 left me shattered, the game taught me so much and I learnt great values from it, Arthur Morgan became such a big part of my life and ik that probably sounds cringy but it broke me and touched me in a completely different way R.I.P Arthur Morgan...
Last Of Us 2 was the only game that made me cry
Damn I guess you haven’t played many games 🤣
I was Just angry the whole time
The intro was Niko Bellic talking to IIyena Faustin about his past during the Yugoslav Wars from Grand Theft Auto 4.

The last of us 1 and 2 hit different ❤️
@Mr.Crusader Each to their own, however I'll say there wasn't no character development, and looking at it as a 'revenge bad' story is very surface level. This might not make you like the game or anything like that I just urge you to watch this video. ruclips.net/video/y4prQ8LHRic/видео.html
