It wouldn't be too out there if that were the case, this being Resident Evil. Maybe the hand is its own creature and mutates when it comes off and goes hunting. Definitely within the realm of possibility, which is a testament to how crazy (in very fun ways) Resident Evil is.

Just bought the game (re4) a week ago, yep it's hella fun, at first i got dizzy playing because the controls and camera movement were a bit janky and dizzy -ing, but i got used to it in 3 days, while most people enjoyed *the mercenaries* i just find it a pain in the ass to play.
Overall, Good game 8.5/10
Some bosses were to hard so i had to resort to youtube guides. chief village, el gigante and krauser are probably the only ones i fought fair without guides.

The whole "taking a motorcycle up a multiple-story building and refusing to go on foot" bit can't even be passed off as lazy capcom writing or insane resident evil plot, because it's 100% something that leon would *actually* do.

Context for that scene.
Leon literally says the elevator was busy; he says it in a manner you can't tell if he was joking or not.
You immediately see 'Why' he had to take the motorcycle up the stairs.
The elevator opens and reveals a fuckload of Zombies were crowded in it.
So yes, he has a valid reason to drive it up stairs if he wanted to catch up with Chris, Chris was already ahead of him.
If he went on Foot he'd be out of breath and behind Chris.

I thought, I wonder what would happen if I only use a knife against Krauser (however you spell his name) on the final boss fight. So if you literally only use a knife at the final boss fight it not only ends quicker but makes it one of the easiest boss fights. This is probably common knowledge now cus of speedruns & its been out forever. But back then I didn't have internet so it was a really cool moment to figure that out.

I think calling this intentional is giving Capcom's writing a little too much credit, but I've always liked the character development that Leon was a chump geek in RE2 and no one took him seriously, so by RE4 he's started to over-compensate by trying to look cool and talk like a badass.
