this game deserves an award beyond what gaming developers have ever gotten. Arthur was literally real to me, and when he died I genuinely went through the 5 stages of grief, and I have no idea why! It's scary how good this video was, incredible job.
How did I get so close to this person who doesn't even exist. I dont know my family. I have a very large family and know none of them. My mum seemed to give up on child 5, 6 and 7. Kept us away from everyone. I hope I meet someone like Arthur or John, find the family I always wanted. Need more like it not want. I'm losing faith. Keep hoping.
Every single person who loves this game, who returns to this game time and again, who laughs the same laughs, gasps the same gasps, sheds the same tears that you do in this game…we share something truly special. We are your family.
I finished the game not long ago and it left me with a deep sense of loss that lasted for quite a while. This video for some reason feels like a beautiful goodbye. Thank you
Arthur isn't just a video game character, he is a friend, to all of us, and we'll always love him, no matter where he is now. My man got me crying for hours after that ending... ;-; Beautiful tribute, +1 like and subscriber, plus an award on ur reddit post ;-;
I am on my 6th Arthur play through, so none of this was a surprise to me, but I still UGLY CRIED through most of it. I am a 51 year old Nana. I think I need therapy!!!! I am homebound disabled since 2016 so I have tons of free and I started playing video games. First was Skyrim, then Witcher 3, then AC Valhalla. I played those 3 games continuously for 6 years, 6-10 hours per day on average. Then I decided to play Red Dead 2 because of Viva La Dirt Leagues skits (too funny) and Miracle of Sounds song "Red Sun Going Down." RDR2 is the PERFECT GAME, well at least Arthur's part. I have yet to do the epilog. It has all the emotions of a great novel and the thrills and emotions of a million dollar movie. The emotions that they show on the characters faces is amazing. When he says he is scared, it breaks me. 😢😢
I'm 57 and have played games for years...Three months ago I decided to try RDR2..I am completely blown away and soo mesmerized with this game and dearest Arthur. I'm on chapter four and I am avoiding moving on, knowing what's to come...I continue to do quests, fishing, legendary animals, outfits, cards, etc. Truly the best game I've ever played. I'm sure I will be playing it for the rest of my days. I'm so glad to have found this game and to have known Arthur Morgan... He truly feels like a real life friend and the emotions this game and Rock Star bring is nothing less than astounding. Of course I will eventually be playing RDR1.
I went into a stage of chronic depression because I knew I would never play this game the same again. Saying that sounds cringe, but it was actually a big deal to me because I saw between the lines in the story and related to the character a lot. And now the character was dead. I went through different stages of my life, and Arthur adapted to it. And now I don't have that ability to relate to him anymore. This game was so absolutely perfect down to every last detail. It changed me. Changed my values in life. I went from focusing on making money to volunteering for a fire department.
His loyalty is admirable, honor, bravery, all in one man. Too bad he was loyal to the wrong man. RIP Arthur Morgan, forever one of the best video game characters I’ve played as. It has been and will always be, an honor to be playing you.✊
I wouldn’t say Dutch was bad, I think that he for the most part was just very stressed and lost when the pinkertons kept finding them and such, and especially after the failed bank robbery when they lose both Hosea and Lenny because Hosea was the man Dutch went to when he needed advice. And Micah saw Dutch’s confusion as an opening and decided to go for it. I mean in the end when Dutch walks away from both Arthur and Micah I think he kind of realised what he’d done and that he had been wrong.
Seems like Dutch going crazy & the TB diagnosis was a huge blessing in disguise for Arthur. After returning from Guarma, he rode home no longer as a "son of Dutch", but as his own man. As a video game character he made beauty out of dire circumstances like we all should strive to do every day. Great video!
I never comment on things but i outright sobbed at this (i finished the game for the first time some weeks ago) I love Arthur so much...such a wonderful tribute to find!! thank you for this
Thank YOU for watching it! :) Arthur is one of my favorite characters of all time from any source of media, so I'm always happy to hear other people share their passion for him! Definitely shed some tears making this, so I feel you there :)

the expression he makes at 3:44 has always and will always bring me to tears. immediately. he looks so sick, so sad, so... not what we started with. the change is drastic, when you compare how he began to where he is when he has that talk with sister caldron.
My one true love just left me a few weeks ago. in our last few days I was showing her things I was passionate about, this game was one of them. I tried to tell her the story so she could see how much deeper it is than just a game. Every day all day I think about her, but this game reminds me of how hard I tried to keep her. This is my favorite video game and I played good honor Arthur. If I could be anyone in this world, I would choose Arthur. Amazing storyline and character development, amazing video.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a game, it is a work of art. A masterpiece. A gift. It has changed so many people, it has taught so many people lessons they didn't know they needed to learn. I don't know of any other "game" that has done that. But if anyone else does, please recommend them to me.
I am not someone who cries often, its actually quite rare, but I have played this game at least 3 times and the fact that Arthur is so self degrading makes this game all the more devastating to play and STILL makes me cry every damn time. This tribute was so beautifully well done, it really did bring a tear to my eye, thank you 🥲
Oh my gosh this game is so incredible. I can't believe how hard I cry every time at the end of the storyline. I've played it three times and it is unbelievable how much it gets me each time!
I can't watch Sadie cry over her husband like that without breaking down horribly. Sadie reminds me very much of my Girlfriend, and well, if the screen name ain't obvious, yeah.
i know it's different from the usual content but this is awesome man, love the way you brought it all together. already beat the game but this brought all the feels back!
Arthur was something that we all wish to be…he was able to redeemed himself from all mistakes he made along the way and made everyone cry doing it…no fictional character comes even close, when I realised Arthur would die one way or the other, tears just filed my eyes, and when Artur actually died I couldn’t take it…took me 2 days to be able to play with John (and I played RDR with John and in the beggining of RDR2 I was like “who is this Arthur guy? I want to play with John Marston…”) by the end I couldn’t enjoy the game without Arthur was like losing one brother…American Venom was a hell of an ending…but I will never forget what it felt like to play this game for the first time…and this video makes me remember all the feelings this game gave to me…nothing fictional comes to Arthur Morgan story!
