I never cried at Arthur’s death or Johns death, but when the credits showed photos of the lives of the other surviving gang members after Arthur died, when it showed Mary and Arthur’s grave, I couldn’t hold it. It’s so fitting for this to end on Arthur, after digesting Red Dead 2 for the past 4.5 years it is clear he is one of the best fictional characters ever created not just in gaming but in all of fiction. This is the great american novel of video games. I’ve replayed the game so many times and I always notice something new that I didn’t on my last play through. 0:12 already started it with my favorite scene from the witcher 3, i love that emotional side of Geralt, no amount of potions and mutagens were enough to strip him of his humanity, and all thanks to the exceptional love he has for Yen and Ciri, i like how both him and yen just consider themselves father and mother to Ciri even though they didn't give birth to her since witchers can't reproduce, but when you see the way he held her, and how Yen can't rest her eyes without Ciri, it shows how they not only consider her a their daughter but they somehow fully convinced each other that she is their daughter regardless of anything else... and all this story beces even better when you understand the things they went through before they met each other, Geralt's life was tasteless before he met them, Yen was hopeless, and ciri had idea what life is and why people around her even exist because she was yet to know what love is. I love the witcher, it's not all about swords and mosters, it's also about finding love and finding those people who makes your life meaningful.
Dying Light was THE GAME I had been waiting to play for almost 5 years. I first saw it on RUclips from what used to be my favourite RUclipsr. This is the first time I have seen a Gears of War scene in these types of videos. Let me tell you that shit hurts bro. I loved those games and hearing Marcus yell Dom's name while he is talking to his dead wife just breaks you, by far one of the most realistic voice acted scenes ever. Most of these scenes you know the actor isn't acting, and I think that's why it gets so close to home. Well played sir, well played.
Arthur Morgan's death is probably one of the most touching and unique character arch's and deaths of all. May I, stand unshaken... Amidst the crashing world
Not just him, but also Dom. A man you got to grow to love for three games, for him to sacrifice himself, just so he can meet his wife again. With the raw emotion of Marcus, watching his pal die, the one he worked with for so long, makes sense why Marcus would seclude himself in Gears 4.

Not even just his death, but the events leading up to it. There are only two video game scenes that have made me cry like a baby: when Sarah gets shot at the beginning of the last of us and when Arthur’s horse died. And by the time arthur himself died I was already losing my shit.

Damn this scene should be in the video
@@gabrielfelix6583 Nah, if they were including Black Flag they should've done the table scene.
Non gamers don't know what they're missing out on, it saddens me to know a lot of people still think video games are still in that pac man or donkey kong phase where it's just a fun time waster for kids; but games have evolved into a broad medium of storytelling and world building in ways movies or books wish they could make their audience connect to.
Well said.
Video games, Books, and movies are all similar in at least one way, they're ways to waste time. At the end of the day, none of it is real, and yeah, it's just a video game. Just like other mediums of story telling, they merely draw you into the story, rather than have you directly participate in it. Sure, you're playing a game, but what you're really doing is just playing a story already written out for you. Think of it as like a more interactive tour. That's why I say to people that it's just a game. While it can make us feel emotions at the time of seeing a story that we're invested in, at the end of the day nothing you just played is worth being mad about, or worth being sad, happy, or whatever after the point of playing, because none of it is real, and it doesn't matter. This isn't referring to the quality of the story, but just the emotional content of the story itself. If a character dies, sure it's sad, but you're of course not going to mourn, it isn't a real person. You can just restart the game and play again, with all the consequences reversed.
yeah to bad that the loud majority of so called gamers arent the type of people who see videogames as an medium for varied story telling
I couldn't have said it better myself mate. Hopefully in the near future, everyone can come to appreciate and recognize the art of video games for its creatively compelling storytelling and uniquely design character developments.

When he was talking about insanity I like how our character (I have forgotten their names sadly) repeatedly pulled apart his hands to break the rope with no success aka doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something to change

My mom used to play DonkeyKong on the Super Nintento laughing and jumping holding the controler. She passed away of cancer. Games can give you not only a good time but the joy of beeing alive even if you just press some buttons. You can be a Hero or an Monster in them but you still feel, something. I love you mom and thank you for playing DonkeyKong with me and introduce me to Video Games.
Your mother was a sweet and lovable person who never ceases to have good time. She left you with the greatest gift as you grow up, to always smile and have fun, becoming the best person you can ever be like she was to you, for someone else ❤

Why watch a movie from an outside perspective when you can have a fully immersive experience as the main protagonist and spend countless hours playing to achieve their... I mean our goals.
Palentro exactly
It's a totally unique storytelling medium. Each medium does something better imo (books, movies, shows) but games are absolutely unmatched in their immersion. It's a shame it's still so underrated, at least to common people.
