There is no righting his wrongs, it’s well, well beyond that. You can’t right IRREPARABLE wrongs. In Hanks death the character of Walt is irredeemable. The life-changing If not life-ending l destruction reigned upon absolutely EVERYONE WALT ever associated with from the pilot on is incapable of correction. Not 1 character with any actual relevance to the show itself life will EVER be the same. The utter devastation as a direct result of Walt’s actions will negatively impact several generations long after he’s gone. The was he says "I liked it" is so incredibly well done, because you can really hear in his voice how much he did like it and why he just couldn't stop even after technically getting enough money for his family. What started as a man who tried to support his family even after his death, turned into something Walter did with a passion and something he didn't feel overqualified or annoyed for. It's ironic how he must have finally felt alive for real for the first time just after getting diagnosed cancer.
Theres a weird satisfaction because we've all been there in one way or another. To finally put your skills and knowledge into something you've dedicated years of effort into, so satisfying. Minus the part getting alot of pekple killed whilst in the process, but still.
@@handsomesquidward5160 There's an interesting nuance to it. It's not about how skilled you really are, it's about Walter's impostor syndrome. He was a good chemist, but it was only when becoming Heisenberg, that he could let himself believe that he was a respectable, skillfull man. It's about his subjective *perceived* worth and skill, not the objective one. That's worth more than anything, pretty essential for being happy.
@@mushudamaschin2608 And there's the crux of the issue; a lack of self worth. Walt was dealt a raw hand by life, shit cirucumstances regarding the founding of a financially successful company, a cancer diagnosois, a job he just simply doesn't feel fulfilled in, and most of all, he just doesn't feel loved or appreciated. We have all been there; obviously this is a piece of fiction, but I wouldn't be too surprised if a lot of criminal activity in regards to drug trafficking/production is down to relatively similar circumstances like this: cancer excluded, as that is obviously a device to give the show a timeframe.
No, it was an ego trip from start to finish. If any of it was for his family he would have taken Elliot's offer to pay for his treatment, and likely could have had a succesful career at Gray Matter since they still respected him as a chemist and never even seemed to have wanted to cut him out like Walt percieves in the first place. Instead, he couldn't handle accepting charity, HE had to be the one to pay for his treatment and take care of his family, so he started his downward spiral into the meth business.
1:26 I love the subtle foreshadowing of Walter's eventual death hinted by the license plates that read "LIVE FREE OR DIE." An astute way to summarize his mindset as he neared the end of the road.
Are we forgetting how Walt tried to kill himself in the first episode but the gun jammed? It’s so ironic when he makes that fake confession tape for Hank and Marie “I’ve contemplated suicide many times but I’m a coward”. He’s the ultimate coward.
After seeing the man that caused all of the most horrific tragedies in his life, losing his girlfriend, having his step-nephew killed, being kept alive and tortured by psychopaths ... Jesse still doesn't pull the trigger. Jesse started a wreckless brat, but he ended the show as the only one whose soul hasn't been corrupted in the end. This is one of the most incredible characters of all time, masterfully delivered by Aaron.
Jessie seen he was injured and knew he wouldn’t survive, that’s why he didn’t shoot him, in my opinion I feel like he would of killed him if he wasn’t injured
Jesse noticed that Walt was bleeding so he probably wanted him to slowly die by bleeding to death rather than having a quick ending by a gunshot. Even if he wouldn't have died from bleeding, he'd still die from the cancer while being in a jail alone knowing everyone he ever loved hates him.
This is when it all makes sense. This is a man that was spit on most of his life yet craved respect. Once he tasted it, the last thing he was going to do was lose it again. His ego and pride blinded him the whole time explaining a lot of the mistakes he made
The Wire is the only competition imo I met “Omar” and “Spiros” in person two weeks apart a few years back-both happened to walk into the liquor store I was working and I talked to both of them for a while. MKW passed away about a year later
When Walt tells Skylar that he did it for himself you can literally see the weight drop off her shoulders as she has been waiting to hear it and he finally stopped lying to her
Man I still dont like her. Because at the beginning when he did it for the family, she still wouldn't accept it as an answer. Marie, on the other hand, is a keeper. RIP Hank 🤧

When the new seasons of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were first airing we would rush home from band practice to watch. Lost him just a couple weeks before season 4 of Better Call Saul aired, never got to finish the show with him. Can’t see a single thing about BB or BCS without thinking of him. Miss you every damn day brother
I love so much that with his final act of life, Walter decided to give Jesse what he had been pretending to give him the entire time they worked together: the unconditional love of a father
did u notice that Jesse's first ever kill which he wanted was Tod like after seeing the world and being with HEISENBERG for a year had changed him by a lot he didnt cry like he did for gale Jesse has changed
You are correct, Jesse did change. However, Gale, although not COMPLETELY innocent, was nowhere near as cold as Todd. Todd had the ruthlessness of a killer but the aloofness of a child, treating the death of a child by his hand as if it were walking your dog. All in all, Jesse went through a huge change
@@ninjaguyYT Good point, Gale didn’t take joy in being told that he would replace Walter, but he was affiliated with one of the most dangerous criminal kingpins in the series. However, he is probably one of, if not the most innocent characters in the show
Eventho I don't personally cook meth, but I can see the darkness Walt came into. No emotions, no feelings, you don't feel nothing. Still wanting to make things right. This serie was a complete masterpiece and it brought a lot of joy in my own life. He wasn't a bad guy, he just couldn't take the pressure anymore.
I like how most of the scenes in BB don't have any music. One thing that it's the scene on it's own that makes the job, but in the other hand it's like Vince knew people would make edits of them in the future
That phone call to the skylar when he knew the cops were on the phone really showed the depth of Walts character. He displayed himself as an abusive criminal husband to set her free. Rare for writers to have this kind of depth these days.
Most likely because big companies are more concerened about making money than making a good story, so they will make many titles with the purpose of making lots of money rather than making fewer titles and making them, you know, good. Once in a purple moon you'll get really good filmmakers like vince gilligan that just want to tell a story and will put as much effort into it as possible, but for the forseeable future there will be a lot more bad shows than good shows.
That opening scene applies to life I swear We all want to make excuses to our family to the jobs we love or want to do, and it hurts to be honest But sometimes, it’s all you can do.
I dont know if this applies to jobs. At least to the majority. I dont know what kinda work you do, but most of us literally work just because we have to.
As a Breaking Bad fan I LOVE THIS EDIT I felt so sad when walter died at the end All that they had done to do their business their friendship and how it ended at the end.
I wouldn’t say walt redeemed himself, but he ended most of his realationships atleast somewhat well,he finally told skyler the truth about how he liked cooking,he freed Jesse and protected him from the bullets, and he’s making sure that the money is going to his family
This makes no sense. If he didn't believe she would think he would hurt them why go through all the shenanigans? He knew she would believe him even before he got there. That's why he made this threat. Otherwise his plan on how to give his money to his family would be completely illogical.

3:33 Reckon those two are technically responsible for everything? Cuz if they didn't screw Walt over before the show started, he prolly would've been a wealthy man living with his family. Though Jesse prolly would've OD'd or something given that Walter wouldn't do everything
@@Nemesis_skream i mean thats your opinion but i think Walt is incomparably more evil than saul is. I loved him as a character but as a human being he is the one of the most deplorable human beings in the show. He even admits to skylar he was only ever out for himself in the end.
The first time I watched BB, I didn't make it to the finale and actually got bored right before the climax of the whole show, but the second time I watched it, I realized just how much I missed out on. Him admitting why he did it just tied everything together perfectly.
Ultimately Walter was a very prideful man From the beginning of episode one, where he woke up and saw his trophies on the wall while using a exercising thingy. He had a look of utter “what the hell am i doing?” He only “woke up” and used the cancer and family as an excuse to satisfied both his long dormant ego and soon his all consuming narcissism Until both made him lose everything and killed him

I'm still left empty after the ending. I want more. I can't get enough of the show even though it's been over for years. I feel like it's not done yet, but when you think about his life before the end, you realize there's nothing left. So do I. The end is inevitable and I know that but I still wasn't ready for the show to end. I still can't get over it. I wanted the best for Walt but I guess this is it. This show is timeless and it forever will be. Thank you Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and everyone else on/off the show who have worked on it. Thank you for bringing this masterpiece into my life.
Heck no, I liked this show because it knew how to go from beginning to end. No unnecessary seasons that expands nothing on the characters, no filler episodes that serves no purpose to the plot, NOTHING that you see with series that have lost its charm like The Walking Dead, Money Heist, etc for the solely reason to milk money and ruin a good serie. Vince Gilligan knew how to start, develop, and end his masterpiece. If you want more breaking bad then watch Better Call Saul, since it it happens before, during and after Breaking Bad's ending. People like you is the reason good shows get worse seasons by the time goes on, the Director did what he wanted, there's nothing left to solve for BB. I respect Breaking bad for not becoming like The walking dead and actually finishing its story on a good note.

the best tv show ever made. Walter was his own undoing and the ending was just seeing the amount of damage hes done and coming to that realization. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to see what you've really lost.
The next Vince Gilligan production has to be in 4:3 ratio. Breaking Bad looks great in it, and the feel of the ratio just seems like it’d fit perfectly with his shows.
i can’t even explain how much i loved this show, perfect start, perfect middle, perfect ending, i just wish walter could have survived for a spin off but i still loved the ending, writing his wrongs with the people he cared about, poisoning lydia, and so much, there will never ever be another series like this, i absolutely loved the plot, the fact that he had everything to lose at the start, purely doing it for money, then at the end, having a mix of everything and nothing to lose, doing it for the thrill, and for the excitement, i feel as though he was cheated out of the millions from grey matter, never liked schwartze, but i can’t express how good this show was. this is a phenomenal show

Breaking Bad and all of its accompanying media have left a profound impression on me. I binged Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul over the Summer one time when I was still in school, then went back nearly a month later upon discovering that movie that stars Jesse in his times as a [non-consenting worker]. I had just started studying film-making after all my years of watching movies, TV series and animated shows/anime, and discovered what could only be called genius in Breaking Bad, with nearly all the missing pieces put in place with Better Call Saul, finally completed with that movie, and I haven't seen a universe that's topped it by much since. I don't think I've ever seen a creation where the second go-around (Better Call Saul) exclusively refines the first, polishing up pretty much all of the flaws and empty space that were left by Breaking Bad, and the _sheer emotion_ in that damn movie will never leave my brain. _It's just so damn sad, man._ I love every bit of it, from the unfathomable highs to the actually-just-slightly-above-average lows.
The transformation from an overqualified to a drug dealer more infamous than escobar is just perfect, his legacy will forever last. He is no longer known as Walter White but more as the ruthless heisenberg, the man who killed all of his enemies.

But yet again he was gonna die from cancer sooner or later
hank is dead, do you mean revenge FOR hank?
@@mushudamaschin2608amongos
No, it was an ego trip from start to finish. If any of it was for his family he would have taken Elliot's offer to pay for his treatment, and likely could have had a succesful career at Gray Matter since they still respected him as a chemist and never even seemed to have wanted to cut him out like Walt percieves in the first place.
Instead, he couldn't handle accepting charity, HE had to be the one to pay for his treatment and take care of his family, so he started his downward spiral into the meth business.
The sad thing about this is that the cops have zero clue what really happened in Walter's secret life.

This is a masterpiece. I wish I could erase my memory from the show to watch it again for the first time still my number one series :)
Never apologise for pursuing your own path, it's okay to be selfish if neccessary.
I have and will never been seeing again a better edit than this.
At the end… he was a full man.. that realized his flaws… his mistakes… and he make it up as much as he could… he realized that he drifted from his original plan cuz he got too much excited about illegal life as long life obeying laws citizen.. he acknowledged all his mistakes… did what was right to do… and finished his story as there was nothing more to do… no excuses… no selfishness… he was just objective on his whole life… and he have ended it all as whole man who had it all… cuz he got everything he could ever want… normal life/ drug life / family / crime partners.. fun / sadness he crosses all checkmarks… and then just fell down and rested… forever.
Fear the man with nothing left to lose.
Run from the man who had everything taken from him.
And pray that the man who gave it all away doesn't come for you.
_It's just so damn sad, man._ I love every bit of it, from the unfathomable highs to the actually-just-slightly-above-average lows.
lmao at you being afraid to say the word slave
@@jackshift Not afraid. It can hide the entire comment if RUclips flags it, or if the RUclipsr toggles it.
most beautiful video yet 🥲
“This is where you get to make it right”
It may or may not be obvious to some, but I like that this line is both intended for them, but also himself.
my favorite show of all time!
I keep coming back to this amazing creation and the chills still remain during it all. Thank you for this
Glad to hear that
truly one of the best tv shows in cinematic history
The transformation from an overqualified to a drug dealer more infamous than escobar is just perfect, his legacy will forever last. He is no longer known as Walter White but more as the ruthless heisenberg, the man who killed all of his enemies.
underrated video
The whole last episode is like it’s own little movie, I love it.
Consequences of ego😢
Alone nugget.. alone..
Just finished Breaking Bad last week and you can tell how much I loved the show by looking at my pfp. It’s an exceptional series and it definitely made its way into my heart.
If you missed it, Walter actually died from the bullet he took on his back by that machine gun, while saving Jessie.
