“Why didn’t he ever tell us about this?” Because Mantis, one of the ways to deal with past trauma is through repression. When rocket escaped from OrgoCorp, he literally and figuratively ran away from his trauma and his trauma entered his subconscious. From his perspective, he wasn’t trying to hide his past from Groot and eventually the Guardians, but he was supressing the memories to the point where he wouldn’t even know what to say. But that subconscious also developed his mania for tech, weapons, and thievery. All to prepare for the prospect of one day being forced to face the High Evolutionary and win.

The worst thing about this is that when you don't have anything left to do you just scream. The one last thing you have is the noise you can make and the havoc you can cause.
This film was a masterclass in backstory paying off and heartbreak. The problem though, is I can never rewatch it. It's so gut wrenching and emotionally upheaving all the way through that I really don't want to put myself through it again. This is the only Guardian's film I don't own.

Almost a year this movie still make me cry nonstop for an hour
Not ashamed to admit I choked up a little watching that movie .....poor rocket
Going into this movie I was very apprehensive because Rocket has been my favorite MCU character and I didn't want to see him die. The impact from hearing his first word "Hurt" sent me into the ugliest cry I've ever had in a theater.
peter is such a good friend that screech was so pain-filled 😢
This movie on Shrooms was the best experience in my life. Guardians of the galaxy was definitely made for it. Rocket is my favorite character of all time!
I've never cried at a marvel movie... But this? I cried harder then a baby 😭✋ I'm a massive animal lover and this just hurt I was crying to hard. It was an amazing movie, and what makes it worse is that nebula said that what happened to rocket was worse then what thanks did to her.
Rocket: i told you im not a damn raccoon
Also rocket: the names rocket the raccoon
Its just Rocket Raccoon. He's not a Sonic character.
@@Teknanamhe literally said names rocket, rocket the raccoon, like did you not watch the movie or even the video @ 4:50 to 4:54 if not you should!
@@CajunReaper95
Clean your ears and watch it again. There is no "the" and never was. He's not a Sonic character.
it is very good script...very very heart touching. im never been so emotional while im watching GotG movie until this vol.3...., story about rocket is more strong than quil or thanos daughters. so suffering.. this is the best script, im salute with the writers...
This is still the only marvel movie that made me cry like a baby
James gunn is greatest director. What a movie a proper mixing of all things, importance of true friends and much more things.
Man, i'm always cry, altough i've watching it 2 times. The sadest story and weetest ending for GOTG chapter after Avengers Endgame.
This killed my heart. Hurts I'm so sorry rocket
Fun fact: the Hurts was a shout-out to Jalen Hurts the QB of Bradley Cooper’s favorite team the Philadelphia Eagles
I had a hard time with this film. I cried through most of the film see what was done to him. The scene were all his friends died all I wanted to do was hug him and tell him he will be okay.
This was the best of all the guardians of the Galaxy films.
I’m crying literally right now and I cried through the howl movie I swear it’s so emotional I thought I had to stop watching and when his friends died that scene I Was crying for 30 mins 😢😭😖🥺🤧
I cried alot watching this... It's a masterpiece
Man i remember watching this in the theatre
I cried
the amunt of tears i drpped in this movie is to much than I expected, the story of rocket touched me hard 😞😢😢😭😭😭
Most underrated hero of all of them. Quite possibly the best. Absolutely love him.
rockets young life made me cry poor guy :``(
Beautiful tribute. Love the song choice and editing. Keep up the good, high-quality work.
I may be late to watchin vol. 3 but one this is for sure I teared up watching this. I never understood Rocket all that much and now seeing his backstory, made him my favorite character. Seeing what he had to endure all those years, and finding his purpose it's great to see how Rocket's journey is
Good tribute video. I teared up so much during the scene when Rocket's friends died. That was a heartbreaking scene.
When i watched this movie, I had to fight back tears when I saw Rocket cry and when Rocket and the otter reuniting because Rocket crying sounds just like the screams in my head and what the otter said is just beautiful.
I slowly gained to like rocket over the first and second guardians of the galaxy, haven’t even seen the third yet and watching this video, omg it hit me so hard. Like over the first and second, all I wondered was how traumatized rocket was and now watching this video before the movie, just breaks me as a man. Even I can understand and see how badly treated he was.. poor rocket one of the greatest pals in the movie but acts all tough cause he needs to be to suppress the pain
I have not yet seen this movie, I'm a little apprehensive after the past few marvel movies, but seeing Chris Pratt and Rocket's acting in this movie is starting to draw me in! The emotions are going to be raw when I watch this! 😭😭😭
@1:16 is most gut wrentching moment in the entire MCU
holy fuck you should check out real life bro
"Rocket Teefs and Floor go now!!!" Those pleading words are absolutely heartbreaking.
Imagine being raised in a situation where you never got to really feel loved and every single time you thought you were getting close you found out it was a trap and a lie and never knowing who or what you can trust…..and still never giving up hope.
to the editor, this was an amazing feeling to watch, not just a raccoon video, i always thought what a stupid character....this broke me
Rocket's story was utterly harrowing and heartbreaking
Marvel movies don't really do it for me anymore but holy shit 1:02 made me feel a lot of negative emotions
Quantumania and Multiverse of Madness were huge wasted potentials, but man…Rocket Raccoon’s story of Guardians 3 was absolutely incredible. Marvel could literally redeem themselves if they just focused on outer space, the multiverse, and mainly talking animals. Need a solo spin-off movie on Rocket Raccoon and other animal characters with this level of emotion badly.
This was so beautifully done ❤️
im 35, and i only cried when my dad died, but this movie broke me in a way i didnt know possible... i am so sad to have seen this.
The flashbacks were my favorite part of the movie. Although I wish they would've shown more on his surgery and what they did to him
This scene touched my heart it really made me cry . Sometimes when we met people with harsh behaviour we think they are really bad but thats only side we could not imagine what they have gone through same we can connect with our favourite characters life story ROCKET
Love this moment with his three friends.
The MCU has a lot of dark and sad moments but this whole movie dealing with rocket was by far the darkest and saddest. All the suffering Rocket went through. All the heartbreak. All the pain. This was such a beautiful piece of cinema.
rocket has always and will be my fav GOTG
This makes him losing Groot in volume 1 even harder.
The worst thing about this is that when you don't have anything left to do you just scream. The one last thing you have is the noise you can make and the havoc you can cause.
This is so sad and reminds me on all the poor animals which must live under human cruelty.
I used to wonder why he was so awesomely twisted, cynical and somewhat maniacal. I get it now. Poor guy.
Just Finished it..
And it's made me cry so many times.😞
I love you Rocket, wish i hug you once. 😭🥺
Manly tears have been shed..
This film was a masterclass in backstory paying off and heartbreak. The problem though, is I can never rewatch it. It's so gut wrenching and emotionally upheaving all the way through that I really don't want to put myself through it again. This is the only Guardian's film I don't own.
3:25 omg the way he yelled was so hart broken.💔
THIS EDIT MAKES ME CRY OMGGG
Mature
Heartbreaking
Beautiful
This is what this film is
