He didn’t want to kill him, but he knew that if he didn’t his crew would doubt him as a leader. So the only way Peter could live is that he give yondu a good excuse to leave him alive.

I think his final scene in Vol. 1 should have been included here as well because even though it's short it's very impactful and really shows us what kind of a man he is even from the first movie. It's when he opens the orb that supposedly holds the infinity stone and he sees that Peter has swapped out the stone for a troll doll, and he just looks at it smiling, not even a little bit angry. He probably knew all along that Peter would trick him, but he didn't expect the trick to be a personal gift for him which made him flash us a smile full of pride for his boy.

This is why he’s one of my favorite guardian of the galaxy characters
Yondu is my favorite guardians of the galaxy character of all time because he’s serious he’s badass he’s hilarious and Michael rooker is an awesome actor for this role 💯😈👍😀💎💰🔋
3:50 that smile😇🤣
"CAPTAINS GOTTA TEACH STUFF"
The best line lmfao
Yo quill telling his dad Mary poppins was cool is such a son to dad thing
Me when I am driving and I see my friend... 6:35
Hey there jackass 6:36
I love his actor, harper voice was perfect on cod bo2 and his actuation is TOP CAKE
Still the saddest ending of any MCU film 😢
Indeed. However, GOTG 3 had several sad moments
2:24 That Daddy & Son Energy. 🤣 Him Getting On His Boy Cuz He Think He's Falling In Love & Making Dumb Decisions.
7:50 this bit had me crying of laughter after imaging the rolls of Yondu and Mary Poppins reversed which made me laugh even more.
6:36. Yondu’s best line😂😂😂
Two favorite moments were the "Hey there, jackass!"
And "Is he cool?"
Yondu's deadth scene was really emotional and beautiful.
I didn't get that much emotional on Tony's funeral like yondu's. 😢
he may of been your father, but he wasn't your daddy. Its what a great Adopted/Step father is. May not be the one who sired but he's the one who stuck with you! Beautiful statement
Yondu is a character with integrity.
