You now have nothing to stop engine fumes getting into the cabin as you are removing the seal on the cowling which seals the engine bay against the bonnet. Enjoy those oil fumes!

If the engine is in decent condition there should be no fumes emitting from it. You use the recirculate setting if fumes are a problem.
