  • A defense attorney has filed a new motion asking a Maricopa County Superior Court judge to re-examine whether a recently retired Phoenix homicide detective should be compelled to testify about her past cases and mistakes. The motion was filed in a first-degree murder case as a direct result of an ABC15 investigation, which exposed Det. Jennifer DiPonzio had been working multiple jobs while the court believes she was too unwell to participate in proceedings in any way.

Then when they are found guilty their city has to pay hundreds to millions of dollars to the victim. Then the paid leave time criminal LEO gets to go right back to work, even AFTER being found guilty of a crime. Some are repeat offenders , which is even worse.!!!

This just shows how badly she was supervised.
Her upper peers were too lazy to do their jobs which has now led to such malfeasance and lawsuits.
Of course the city's good citizens will be paying the price for this in that their hard earned taxes will be paying for MANY MANY lawsuits now erupting.
IF I were these good citizens I'd be down at the City Hall steps in FORCE and number wanting answers and to kick all the butts of all those that allowed this to happen.
Looks like there is NO accountability there in this city.

And this also shows plain and clear what they are willing to cover up. I get helping your fellow officers but this is what we can not allow. And the public trust is way far gone on this department. Good job exposing and showing the world how policing in America has become soooooo corrupted. She should be arrested and charged with multiple felonies for this heinous criminal activity she has done. Lives destroyed because of her and the system.

Pure corruption and further enrichment of a DISGRACED public employee.
The defense lawyers should be demanding their clients have their charges DISMISSED. Your entitled to a speedy trial. The State covering up corruption is NOT a reason for your trial date to keep being changed.
THEN all those defendants (most likely actually guilty), should sue the city for their time incarcerated.
The whole department is a pile of garbage, and that includes the prosecutors.

This is but one reason the feds are in Phoenix and have been for years. Her conduct after retirement displays ignorance and their perceived immunity from the law by allowing her photo to be taken and working in the public's eye. Allowing Brady Listed Frank Sloup to continue to work while awarding him a department sponsored RUclips page is a kick in the groin to the public. Phoenix and the surrounding area police and sheriff departments are nothing more than a cesspool. They're the first to cry when one of them goes out in a hearse and the public couldn't care less.
