i also had mine at 4 but when I had it I kept throwing up and I couldn't move my body I went to the hospital I still couldn't move they didn't tell me that I had a bad appendix. cause well I was young, I stayed at the hospital for 6 months it was one of the worst experiences of my life

For those who are curious: The Appendix is in fact an organ, but an entirely useless one. It's an evolutionary leftover, called a rudimentary organ. Many, many thousands of years ago, it served as an additional organ for digestion. But dietary changes and general evolution in what is now humanity have made it entirely redundant. And even though it no longer has a real function, it can still malfunction. That malfunction is appendicitis, and if the Appendix is not removed in time, it will be lethal. Basically, all Appendixes are ticking timebombs.
the appendix absolutely has a purpose. Ask someone who's had their appendix out how fish made them feel after the surgery. It also helps save the ecosystem inside your gut by supplying good bacteria to your colon and stomach.
I had a similar case about 6 years ago, and was incorrectly diagnosed by 2 doctors. Luckily, the third doctor recognised what was happening and was able to intervene at the right time. Get well soon Dan.

I had an appendicitis when I was in 4th grade, when I got out of surgery and woke up the doctors got done testing and everything else for the time being. I asked my mom for the iPad we had at the time and i immediately told her watching your newest upload and I know it was diamond dimensions I think it was episode 225 could be wrong on the number but my mom saw my mood go from really scared and anxious to being happy because you were laughing and having no a good time playing Minecraft. After I was out of the hospital my grandma gave me a 10 dollar iTunes gift card and my mom bought be Minecraft because she saw how much joy you gave me for me watching you. I want to say thank you for bring me joy when my times looked not so great. I hope you’re doing better and will continue to be doing great!
ive somehow had appendicitis twice (i have regrowing teeth and a regrowing appendix? we don't understand it are selves lol) it is the worst pain lol especially since i have chrons and dont know the difference between the pains lol
@@TNTboy3 I have 4 regrowing canine teeth that regrow about 1 time per year, i have an upper right wisdom tooth that keeps coming back and causing issues, and my normal teeth have all regrown at least 2 or 3 times since my aby teeth fell out i have cleft lip, pallet, nose, and throat though so im far from normal when it comes to my upper facial issues lol
Appendicitis is seriously a horrible and terrifying disease, where your appendix would likely get clogged up by something that will cause it to potentially make you feel 'disabled' for a long period of time. My boss had the same thing-she had no idea why she felt so crappy until one day I saw her trying to sit comfortably in her office and failing to do so…she was in so much pain. She went to the hospital and they said “yeah your appendix ruptured a few days ago and if you weren’t so fit (she was a long distance runner) you’d be not alive right now.” She had to wait for her appendix to atrophy before they would take it out. A few rounds of IV antibiotics later, she was minus one appendix.

@@beebag6861Well if the doctor’s said it was too much carbon dioxide in his body, I’d imagine it was the lack of oxygen reaching the muscles and causing them to contract and cramp up. This might also explain the lack of feeling/sensation in his limbs. But I’m not a doctor, just my guess.

As somebody that has had an appendicitis I understand your pain, I hope you can deal with the consequences Dan. Luckily I got mine out in time and I was able to get through it with my family beside me mine personally was about 2 hours from bursting when they got it out but as soon as I got into A&E I saw a doctor and they didn't believe my pain they thought it could've been a stitch but the head doctor came into my room and said " This is an appendicitis this boy needs surgery now. " and I got it out the next day, I am very grateful for the NHS and it is unfortunate that the government is neglecting this care that saves lives.

Hey dan, been a good few years since I've watched your stuff, but I really want to wish you the best of the best and I pretty much owe you my entire childhood, got your books, watched your old videos when they came out, and I hope you live a happy life and god bless lad.
For those who are curious: The Appendix is in fact an organ, but an entirely useless one. It's an evolutionary leftover, called a rudimentary organ.
Many, many thousands of years ago, it served as an additional organ for digestion. But dietary changes and general evolution in what is now humanity have made it entirely redundant. And even though it no longer has a real function, it can still malfunction.
That malfunction is appendicitis, and if the Appendix is not removed in time, it will be lethal. Basically, all Appendixes are ticking timebombs.
Not true. It actually serves as a backup mini ecosystem incase your microbiome somehow is almost destroyed it basically saves your life.

Its actually a fail safe for death if you think about it so its either your appendix or your colon
the appendix absolutely has a purpose. Ask someone who's had their appendix out how fish made them feel after the surgery. It also helps save the ecosystem inside your gut by supplying good bacteria to your colon and stomach.
You can live a perfectly normal life without an appendix, it just hosts some extra bacteria. But yeah it is 100% just a time bomb
I had a similar case about 6 years ago, and was incorrectly diagnosed by 2 doctors. Luckily, the third doctor recognised what was happening and was able to intervene at the right time. Get well soon Dan.

My eleven year old had his split in half. The doctors were shocked he was not septic. He ended up with 5 scars. Glad you are doing well. My son Bryce said he feels your pain.

Unfortunately my grandpa passed away from this :(. I couldn't imagine the pain you two were going through. I’m so happy to see that you’re doing better though, we are all here for you stay strong! ♥I have grown up watching you and you have shaped me into the person I am today. I've had a appendix out two years ago and I had sepsis because my appendix bursted out which was unimaginable pain. Hope you have a speedy recovery, bless you.

Welcome to the no appendix club!!! I had appendicitis in 2013 when I was 8, and I remember watching your videos while in the hospital for comfort, crazy how it's come full circle now. My memory of the experience is pretty similar to yours, I was in so much pain I barely remember anything because I was going unconscious. I'm glad you're okay and are making a full recovery!!! I had an appendicitis when I was in 4th grade, when I got out of surgery and woke up the doctors got done testing and everything else for the time being. I asked my mom for the iPad we had at the time and i immediately told her watching your newest upload and I know it was diamond dimensions I think it was episode 225 could be wrong on the number but my mom saw my mood go from really scared and anxious to being happy because you were laughing and having no a good time playing Minecraft. After I was out of the hospital my grandma gave me a 10 dollar iTunes gift card and my mom bought be Minecraft because she saw how much joy you gave me for me watching you. I want to say thank you for bring me joy when my times looked not so great. I hope you’re doing better and will continue to be doing great!

@@TNTboy3 I have 4 regrowing canine teeth that regrow about 1 time per year, i have an upper right wisdom tooth that keeps coming back and causing issues, and my normal teeth have all regrown at least 2 or 3 times since my aby teeth fell out
i have cleft lip, pallet, nose, and throat though so im far from normal when it comes to my upper facial issues lol

Appendicitis is seriously a horrible and terrifying disease, where your appendix would likely get clogged up by something that will cause it to potentially make you feel 'disabled' for a long period of time. I'm so glad you have had your appendix removed, to prevent an 'explosion'. I hope you get well soon Dan, we are all here for you.
I had appendicitis when I was 10 and had it burst in the ER. It was horrible and it took a second for recovery! 22 and just graduated college. Stay strong man hope u heal up

So glad to hear that you’re okay. My boss had the same thing-she had no idea why she felt so crappy until one day I saw her trying to sit comfortably in her office and failing to do so…she was in so much pain. She went to the hospital and they said “yeah your appendix ruptured a few days ago and if you weren’t so fit (she was a long distance runner) you’d be not alive right now.” She had to wait for her appendix to atrophy before they would take it out. A few rounds of IV antibiotics later, she was minus one appendix.

Here's what an appendix does- The entire digestive tract helps with our immune system, but some scientists and doctors think the appendix may be a place for our body to store certain healthy types of gut bacteria that otherwise could be altered or changed during an intestinal illness or with overuse of antibiotics. So basically it is used to fight stomach infections

@@beebag6861Well if the doctor’s said it was too much carbon dioxide in his body, I’d imagine it was the lack of oxygen reaching the muscles and causing them to contract and cramp up. This might also explain the lack of feeling/sensation in his limbs. But I’m not a doctor, just my guess.

As somebody that has had an appendicitis I understand your pain, I hope you can deal with the consequences Dan. Luckily I got mine out in time and I was able to get through it with my family beside me mine personally was about 2 hours from bursting when they got it out but as soon as I got into A&E I saw a doctor and they didn't believe my pain they thought it could've been a stitch but the head doctor came into my room and said " This is an appendicitis this boy needs surgery now. " and I got it out the next day, I am very grateful for the NHS and it is unfortunate that the government is neglecting this care that saves lives.
