      I think you misunderstand her mindset... she never thought, she would face consequences. Despite the fact that a Prosecutor's duty is to find the truth, the vast majority of them only wants convictions, regardless of whether the person is guilty or innocent... unless of course the suspects are cops, right wing politicians or from a "good family", then they do everything to let them off the hook.
      Her mindset was such that she can ruin peoples' lives and get a bonus for it.

    NEVER forget, that she wanted to prosecute people for Crimes they did not commit, for which she had no evidence and which could have resulted in decades of prison.
    Also, SHE lied to the Grand Jury. SHE withheld evidence from the Grand Jury. Mind you, a Prosecutor's duty is NOT to get a conviction... yeah, most prosecutors like to ignore that fact... but to follow the evidence, wherever it leads, even IF it means that there are no charges.
    It is her duty to not only look at the evidence in favour of charges, but also at exculpatory evidence. It is her duty to check, how solid the evidence is, how solid witness statements are.
    And while she certainly is a scape-goat, she was an active part in the crimes against Citizens. She should be glad to only lose her license and job. If there were an actual "Tough on Crime" Attorney around, she'd face a Life Sentence or two for Perjury, Jury Tampering, Tampering with Evidence, Obstruction of Justice, Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice, Deprivation of Rights under the Color of Law (4th, 8th and 14th Amendment Violations), Conspiracy against Rights, Violation of Oath of Office and counting...

      No, they don’t. I find that deeply offensive. Everyone doesn’t lie to do their job and it’s both incredibly presumptuous and insulting to make such an ignorant, sweeping allegation. As a Jag officer I did not fabricate charges, facts or any aspect of any court-martial. As an AUSA I continued that practice, as did my colleagues. And if I see it now as a judge I’m the first to question it and raise the issue of a directed verdict. So no, all prosecutors do NOT do this.

    • @MicahThomason
      @MicahThomason 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@fashiondiva6972 I can't speak to military prosecutors. All I know about that is what I learned from watching A Few Good Men. For civilian prosecutors, I stand by my statement. Of course, it doesn't happen in every case. And, as I qualified in my statement, it happens in different degrees. Being a prosecutor is a political position, and all politicians lie. (Surely, you and I can agree on this?) If a prosecutor (or politician, or government employee, or, especially, cop) doesn't fall in line with the status quo, they will be quickly weeded out of their profession. For prosecutors, this means, AT MINIMUM, asking a judge to disallow truthful, exculpatory evidence. Albeit legal, this is still lying. Then, of course, there are many cases of outright prosecutorial misconduct. You sound like a decent person with an honest nature. But, in your comment, you suggest you have seen some of what I'm talking about. "...if I see it now as a judge I’m the first to question it". Question it? How about prosecuting it! Have you?
