Used to directly power a fuel pump (+12 volt). Do not use this wire to power fuel pumps that require over 15 Amps. This is what the manual says regarding the fuel pump and a relay.
I wanted to suggest something on your video. It's always good to ground your ECU directly to the battery. That eliminate any frequency noise and ground offset. Some ecu's have more than 1 ground.
Has anyone installed one of these kits with the 92-97 4r70w harness? I’m having a hell of a time getting the ECU to read vehicle speed correctly. I don’t get a mph reading until going around 10mph actual if plugged into the OSS sensor. If plugged into my VSS sensor, it reads half of my actual speed as in ecu reads 5mph when my speedometer reads 10mph and 8mph at 16mph (the 95 f150 speedometer reading comes from the VSS in the rearend, i installed a mustang VSS with 20 tooth gear in my trans tail section, I verified my dash speedometer with gps). After 4 attempts with Holley’s tech line, all I get are instructions on how to get my dash speedo to work or I’m told no one else has issues with it or there’s an issue in my trans.
Lmao! Read the damn directions and wire it. 🤨🤨 The A/C kick and shutdown are in the included I/O wiring. Basically go to the WOT relay. Hell, roll the windas down and screw the A/C. Just drive faster. Looks like the I/O is configureable. Use it for a boost controller or maybe lotsa spray! Ehh? Ehh? 🥳🥳🥳
$1200 + 6 hours of work + no mention of hp gains= maybe?? In all honesty, this thing has caught my fancy. I just have some questions that I been answered. 1. 2 o2 sensors. Is it possible to add a 2nd o2 sensor and have the ecu take advantage of it? 2. How does the system replace Ford's mass air system? How does the Holley system compare to the Ford system? How does Holley's replacement system work? 3. How future proof are these units? Will it work for the indefinite future without upgrades or electronic failure? Or is there signed obsolescence here? Thank you for your videos.
Devin, I’ve been trying to find a good explanation about this kit for a while. And by gods grace I found your vid. I have a few questions, 1. Can this be used with the stock fuel pump, and fuel injectors? 2. Do I need to add a fuel pressure sensor to the fuel system?
Yes, it's listed as being made for the 5.0l, 5.8l, and 7.5l - if you have a factory EFI pushrod Ford, it shouldn't make a difference We just picked this up for my nephew's Fox with a mildly built 5.0l; and we have a 460 out of a '97 F350 sitting in the corner, waiting to be swapped in next season. With the TermX, the wiring won't take any effort at all during the swap
Hey great videos very informative I have a question with this kit on a fox the fuel pump runs on a relay already do you need to hook up the fuel pump wire for the Holley and if so can I use the stock relay and tap in
Thats a very good question and the answer is no, not really. Lol! While you could prolly reuse the stock relay itself, its a standard 30A 12V relay. You cant use it the way Ford did off the final line. After looking over wiring schematics for the Fox Ponies I realized that the stock ECU turns the fuel pump on by switching the ground to the relay coil. Actually many items are controlled this way. By switching the negative the ECU doesn’t have to supply gobs of power. Basically, devices controlled by the ECU are turned on and off simply by switching the neg side on and off. Actually after a quick look at the schematic for the Terminator X it looks like Holley follows this strategy too. Also now that I think of it, if you ditched the factory ECU and harness(which includes the PCM relay) like I did, the stock fp relay is no longer connected to +12V. This is because its fed thru the PCM relay. That said you would run the green fuel pump wire from your new Holley harness to the spade #85, a ground(negative technically) to #86, a 12gauge wire from #87 to your battery and a 12gauge wire from 30 to your pump. FYI this is a for example. It is IMPERATIVE you size you wire and fuse it accordingly. A 12gauge wire is typically rated for 20A(NEC small wire rules). If you pump specs say it draws 30A a 10gauge would be required and so on. I believe a 16 or 18gauge will suffice for the relay coil as it doesn’t draw much current. Again be absolutely sure you install an appropriately sized fuse on the wire from the batt to #87 as close as possible to the batt to protect wiring(and you) from a short and or fire. Personally I tossed it and purchased a new 30A auto relay (same wiring configuration and pinout/spade #s). It even had a weather pack like silicone seal to keep the elements out.

I’m doing the same thing. Four problems I have ran into, 1 had to buy a new distributor. I bought a distributor for 93 cobra as the fox body’s had the ignition module attached to the distributor. Long enough if you want to drill a hole through the floor. Holley has not been very helpful or supportive through this whole process. But I understand there is a pandemic going on and I’m using a fox kit on a f150. I recommend the kit as long as you are running a manual transmission. jcnpresser it’s ok the less that know about the good stuff the better
What Holley efi do u recommend for a small tire 235 or 275 stock suspension street /drag car with nitrous oxide ls in a 4th gen Camaro
depends how much stuff you wanna control
This efi stuff all new to me I’m coming from the old carburetor days lol just building a new car after being out of racing for 10 years
Looking on putting this on a 351w fox with a 4r70w. I am trying to figure out how to do CNP. Looking at using LS coils, a cam sync, and a crank trigger. Would it be worth getting the LS kit so that the coil harness is already pinned out then buying the 4r70w harness separate?
probably best bet yeah
What is the pro m kit I am trying to do the same thing cnp
The Pro M is $3k. I should be able to do terminator x for half of that.
@ANGRY 408W I'm starting with a clean slate so sensors don't make a difference to me. Are you saying the the pro m is so good at tuning itself that you don't have to take it to a tuner?
ANGRY 408W think I will stick with holly it’s simple. Don’t want to get to complicated
Hey buddy, i sent you a message on IG of a question i have about a holley DBW harness
E4OD
This kit sucks. Doesn't come with sensors for plug and play as advertised. I already have a wideband installed and it's not the same connector. I had to cut off the coil wire and splice into the new harness because it doesn't come with it. Just so many issues!
Shouldn’t be putting LS engines in fox bodies. Amen brother!!!!!!!
I see it's been a few years since this video was released. But apparently here in 2023 Male Male works!! Just like BBCs in Foxbodys... 🤣
I kid I kid.... Don't hurt me when I attend a future class.
Wish they would not use GM parts and utilize the ford parts. Just morelarts to source and more money to spend l
Plug and play 4 hours
thats including removal of stock stuff
How can they call it plug and play when you damn near have to rewire the car, I'll stick with my original plan....MEGASQUIRT
If your wiring and connectors are degraded by age than you’ll eventually have too anyways
Yeah it's def not plug and play like they say
Male male no good. Got it.
Male male, no good. unless you changed your gender preference, but that does not work for wiring.
We all know most Fox Body guys are LS guys though.
its a shame isnt it ?
I deny that assertion entirely. The 4-bolt Boss block changed everything.
Actually they are Chevy guys that love fox body’s.
LS swap it
With the single o2 and no turbo would you swap back and forth to each bank to compare ? Im just trying to figure out what tuning issues only one 02 causes
Does this work well with a Dakota VXT Digital Gauge kit for the Fox Body? Anything I should know about before I buy it?
If I wanted to run the holley 4150 efi throttle body with this kit would it be plug and play for TPS & IAC?
Does this kit allow you to run 2 02 sensors sorry if it's a dumb question I just saw it only came with one O2 sensor
No it doesnt you'll need a dominator ecu for that
