The lens on the X10 is fantastic. Taking a shot is so easy it’s embarrassing. Film simulation is great. I sometimes use a red filter with the sepia setting for startling results. It turns a boring shot into something striking.
I bought an X10 from new in about 2012. Great fun, great little camera, and always mistaken for a 'film' camera by passers by. I traded it in (for £150) against a new X-E4 (so that ended up costing me £750 with the 27mm lens). I do actually miss the X10 as I loved the grainy, filmic quality of its images. But I also love my X-E4, so am happy someone else will have been able to get benefit from it. Nice review, BTW. Thanks.
The real magic with this camera is shooting EXR. Believe it or not when set to M file size it will shoot two 6mp shots and combine them producing incredible DR or resolution etc. it’s quite something. I also realy love the colours and oof rendering with this lens/sensor. Very ‘filmic’ 👍
Glad I got mine which will be a year next month. Picked up the 50mm and 28mm lenses for it also. It’s going on a cross country road trip with my father next month. And my OM5 with a laowa 6mm lens for the Smokey mountains.
Great video! Very chill, now you’ve got me considering this camera - as someone who also follows the philosophy of editing my photos as little as possible I’m tempted to buy this and see what I can create with it! Also you earned my sub keep up the content :D (enjoyed your sense of humor)
Go for it mate. We’re of the same philosophy on the non photo editing front so it looks like Fujifilm’s for you and this is a good camera to suss it all out on.
Hey mate, great video! I've got an X10 myself but haven't quite dialed in a recipe I'm in love with. Would you care sharing the settings you used for the SOOC shots you shared in the video? Thanks heaps
Nice one mate. Settings were: Auto ISO 800 Dynamic range auto Astia film sim WB shift +6 red & -4 blue Colour - low Contrast and highlights - both soft Shadows - hard NR - low Hope that helps!
Watching you fettle the x10 inspired me to remount a Fuji 35mm 1.4 that I had assumed was broken. It magically started working again. What witchcraft is this?
no evf in the x20, but you do get a focus box and if my memory is correct exposure settings. It's an awesome camera. Gifted it to my sister in law for her birthday. I regret that decision as I don't think she's used it once....
@@nomancave591 I thought it had both. My error. Still WIKI says it has the X-Trans sensor and the fastest autofocus of 0.06 secs--- perfect for street and other stuff...
Your dry humour had me with the repsone to that burp :D thanks for the comparison!

Fuji X10, is my favorite camera to shoot with! It fill me with joy to shoot with it!💜

It's an magical camera for the cost. Keeps things simple but the images are like nothing that modern cameras can produce.
Do you typically leave EXR on AUTO, or choose a particular setting for your scene?

It does, indeed, seem to “vibe.”
Love the sense of humor and deadpan delivery lmao
Great video. I use the same camera and I love it
I bought one from MPB complete with original Fuji black leather case two years ago. It’s beautiful. Looks brand new, I think it cost about £140.
I have had a Fujifilm X10 for some time.
I also have an original GR digital 8.1 megapixels version.
I love them both.
extra points for taking the (great) camera out for a spin in the blandest of weathers.

There is a Q menu - with an updated firmware you can use the RAW button to bring it up.

There is also the X70 as well
Can you add picture profile besides the film simulations?
I'm thinking of getting a second hand x20, is it a better upgrade to x10?
Run a software update and RAW becomes a Q button
Good advice!
What is a Q button?

cuz I own an X10 and the raw apparently takes me to a menu similar to what you have described, seems like it is updated to the new update.@@LukeSC80
An excellent little camera, even with the downsides of it. 🤙🏼
X20 is the one I want... both optical and evf....

Our son has a cat named Lucy, thought it was a female so now he is Lucifer (but everyone still calls him Lucy).
That’s the exact story of what happened with our cat.
You should update the firmware. You'd get Q Menu and a lot of other film simulations.
How to update the firmware?
i have the same one! Did any one got some cool recipes?
I wonder... how this will fare after being converted to full spectrum.
Was the little Fuji happy to see "Kaizen" in 6:47?
Humor made me subscribe 😂😂😂
Is the X10 not littlerlerler?
Oops, wrong video..... 😅
10:54 Have you tried a tilting cat?
I'm sorry but I can't just ignore Helen's monstrous burp.
Does the x10 have a leaf shutter like the x100?
Use EXR mode you’ll be surprised 😎
