I am from Germany and was locking for a good form factor camera, thats shooting old school fotos with charakter. And stombeld over the X10 and just bought one a minut ago in an auction for 250 Euro. A cannot wait to take it for it's first trip. Love your vid . :)
The X10 sensor is only marginally smaller than the 1” sensor from the Rx100. X10 has 2/3 of an inch so only one third of an inch smaller, and with the exr tech and top tier glass the image quality is comparable if not slightly in favour of the Fuji in my opinion, having owned both and kept the Fuji. Just my two cents. Fun video
I bought my X10 second-hand, years ago. I think I only paid a couple hundred dollars for it, because it was a few years old at that point and it was long before the current "Fujifilm craze" took hold. It's a great little camera and I love what it does. It's worth every penny I paid for it, back then. It's NOT worth what people are trying to sell it for, currently. Pity really. It'd be nice to get an X20 with a better viewfinder, but not at the prices they're going for today.
Totally! When I got mine it was on a work trip, I found it in a pawn shop for 200$ish and I was pretty happy to have it! I feel the Fuji craze has turned the value proposition upside down sadly
Bought my X10 just as it was being discontinued for about $200. This is the most versatile camera I own. Bought it because of the optical viewfinder - bright sunlight washes out the viewing screen. Film simulations are great (I like sepia).
100%, I love Fuji cameras- but it’s the worst time to buy them! Film cameras are certainly in the same boat- anything that harkens to the past is doubled in price!
@@andreasbergwall9437 I think In the farther future they have a good chance to drop, especially with canon, and Nikon releasing retro styled cameras. Leica even wants to release a budget (for Leica) camera in the same vein. That said I don’t expect it will drop for a while.
Funny cause a week ago I was in the market for my first camera and the timing of it was due to an X10 which caught my eye randomly in an auction, being the first time I ever saw it. Pretty much obsessed about it because of the aesthetics, basically rizzing (for lack of better word) me away from looking into its actual performance capabilities. A day or so past until the algorithm led me to the Rx100 III. Eventually I lost the bidding and picked up the Sony for a good bargain. Love it but the x10 never really left my mind until this video popped up, again thanks to the algorithm. I am now ready to move on 🤞
@@BrJackMcPuff hey thanks for watching! I love the x10 for aesthetic, and the photos are fun once in a while- but I bought mine dirt cheap- you made the right choice 100%!!!
@@CalvinDraht Glad to hear 😅 thanks! From now on I guess “dirt cheap” will be the only price tag I’ll be jumping at going forward, knowing that it’ll likely be a shiny shelf piece for the most part while the RX100 does all the actual work
I picked my x10 up for $150 AUD ($100 USD) when this model was a pariah from the interchangeable lens fuji camp and the fixed prime lens fuji camp... they hated the x10... but with fuji prices soaring, so did the price of this camera... I love this camera because it's useable and honest, but not worth the big dollars... btw Velvia ftw
Both massive bangers. For me I love my viewfinder, but I had an opportunity to use a griiix on a little trip to Vancouver- I really enjoyed the shots they put forward! Nice recommendations!

Very easy to understand presentation. Thank you so much !
The used camera market is bonkers right now!

@@CalvinDraht Do you think the prices will drop or are they here to stay? I mean there is no new x10, x20 & x30 or similar camera being made.

How about these two small cameras with APS-C sensor: Ricoh GRIII and GRIIIx?
