@@DiyDoom oh nice!
This video is spectacular on so many levels! The cinematography, editing, script, and overall message is brilliant. I love film photography and have recently gotten into the world of TN. I’m curious, are there any TN inserts that could be used to store/document your film photography? I’d love to merge these two hobbies more.
@@maggieg2724 thank you so much for enjoying! And for the words of encouragement! For film photography, there’s a couple options that I know of! You can use the sticker-paper style and tape to attach your negatives, There a “Kraft” insert that has two paper folders And there’s also a scrapbooking insert for a similar vibe! That said if you wanted to document after digitizing- something like canons IVY-2 printer lets you print your shots onto photos with an adhesive back. (I’m making a video on that guy soon!) I hope this was somewhat helpful!
@@CalvinDraht a dedicated video for that would be epic! Can’t thank you enough for taking the time to write out these recommendations. Cheers!

What a beautiful video! Your excitement for your TN has reinvigorated and inspired me to fall back in love with my passport size. Wow, what a good video! I've been admiring peoples Travelers Notebooks for for a while now and have been trying to watch as many videos as I can before I take the plunge into buying my own. I'm also going on a trip to Japan next year and really want to have a notebook so I can do exactly what you did, collect stamps and tickets and other things, write about my travels, put photos, etc. Not to mention I've been trying to decide which of my cameras to bring to do photography when I go lol. I don't know how you don't have more subscribers/ views cause this was legit the best video about using a Travelers Notebook I've seen so far.
@@angieblah245 thank you so much! That really means a lot to me! And I would highly recommend joining the TN cult. It’s pretty great! Thanks. I’ve just come back from my first trip to Japan, and my Travelers Company part of the trip was just like yours. I was even lucky enough to meet Mr Iijima when I was in the Nakameguro store. I also collected stamps all over Japan. Thanks for the memories of my TN Japan holiday. X

I love this video. I got lost going to the Nakameguro store. Google Map's walking directions wasn't very good, as it wanted me to cross over a fence. I was staring at the back of the shop for a long while until I decided to walk to the opposite side in a roundabout path. Lovely store, with a space above where you can bring your purchases and hang out. Japan was also my dream destination when I was a kid, and when I finally got to visit, I felt I didn't have enough time. True, there were so much to see and do. I hope you can come back.
@@saberkite thank you for watching, and for sharing your story! I understand, that store was super tucked away. I was super surprised when I saw it was just tucked in a residential neighborhood!
@@CalvinDraht me too. I was about ready for someone to call the police on me because I was going around the street behind the shop trying to find a way past the wall. Thankfully no one did but I did have my translation tool ready to say "Sorry, silly tourist is lost."
@@saberkite hahahahaha I relate so hard to that! In Japan and Korea honestly, I often would wonder if I’m on private property only to find hole-in-the-wall coffee places or food places! That’s what I love about the density! As a side I look forward to the next stuff you put out

Nice video about the traveler's notebook. Interestingly, the only other person on RUclips, of whom I initially learned about the notebook, was Maurice Moves. You both have very similar speaking cadences and tones to the point where it feels like I'm watching a travel video by him. Check him out if you haven't, decent every day carry type RUclipsr.
Thanks for watching! Originally I heard of this notebook from him, but I didn't notice the similarity of cadence until watching a side by side. Funny coincidence!
@@CalvinDraht I'll be going to Japan myself in November for the third time (not a flex, I just went once 5-6 years ago and was completely blown away by how much I loved it and saved all my pennies to go back) but I may consider visiting the shop as well, looks fun! Also reminds me a bit of Casey Neistat's vlog/documentation of his trip to Vietnam. If you haven't seen it yet, please, please do, it's called "The Vietnam Notebook", you'll love it, but your storytelling sequencing also reminds me of that video as well. I once owned a Leica CL and the Leitz/Minolta CL which was marketed and serviced by Minolta. I had some issues with th CL but they were rectified by Leitz. It was never meant to be a camera to be as tough as an M camera. It had the same semaphore meter as the M5. I sold both of mine a long time ago. The late Canadian photographer Michael Reichman, the projenitor of The Luminence-Landscapape once said. Never sell a Leica. Maybe he was correct. Nice video.
