    This video just popped up on my feed & I loved it. Excellent use of time for meal prepping.
    I agree with you on doing strict Carni for a month and then a meal or too adding in a veg or seasoning because otherwise I'll get bored and won't stick to it.
    I know the Carni die hards disagree, but everyone has their own healing journey to follow. I do 1 week strict Carni and 1 week Ketovore, which is adding in an 'in season' Veg or Berry. It's working for me healthwise because I'm feeling great physically & mentally.
    Here's my routine:
    1 week strict Carni and the 2nd week is 90% Carni, 5% Veg/berry & 5% I Love my Life. I have grandchildren and when they have Birthdays or at Christmas time they love baking cookies with Nana, I refuse to miss out on those experiences. So, I alternate between those 2 weekly plans.
    Like I said everyone's journey is different, find what works for you. I do follow all the Die Hard Carni Leaders & even they say 'find what works for you, sustainable Carni is better than No Carni because Better Health is the Goal'. So, to those critics I'll just say 'chill out & you do you, I'll do me'.
    Thanks & I look forward to more of your videos.

    I am so happy I came across your video. I am on my 2nd try of doing carnivore. Last year I was having heart issues, so I believe it was my meds not allowing me to lose weight. This year I am not on any meds so lets see what happens. So far, I haven't lost any weight but I am hoping I will see. I am going to try this meal prep, I don't go to the gym so I will cut those calories in half...Thank you ever so much...

    • @yegortarnakin
      @yegortarnakin  8 месяцев назад +5

      Don’t rush!
      The goal is not to loose weight. The goal is to become healthy. Healthy body equals normal body muscle-fat ratio.
      And I don’t recommend this type of meal prep for beginners - try different recipes, try different meats - lamb, beef, pork. Find a way to enjoy the process. And suddenly you will see the changes 🙏

    Very good tips. For ground beef I usually add a few chopped anchovies (which is 100% carnivore) plus some nutmeg and black cardamom (which isn't technically). Gives you the same sort of effect of adding Worcestershire sauce. I think some fermented food, like sauerkraut is quite a good and healthy cheat to add occasionally.

    • @cswann8
      @cswann8 6 месяцев назад +1

      Correct, fermented foods are great as long as you understand that the sour kraut and kimchi you see in the stores has been sterilized of all the probiotic bacteria. Fermenting your own foods is the way to go.

    I've been carnivore for about 4 years. When I started I thought I would have issues with not having a variety of food options but surprisingly I found I actually love this about carnivore.
    Every day I eat either eggs, ground beef, or pork. Sometimes a combination of these. It makes picking what to eat very easy and it always tastes good. Occasionally I'll add something extra like beef liver, which I enjoy. Usually not more than twice a month though. The simplicity is fantastic.

      let the patience be with you!)
      here is what i do - i cook a lot of meat every weekend (steaks, smoked tri tips and so on) then i eat them during the week carnivore style but for my son i simply add some veggies and may be rice. So this is not like 2 separate dinners. Just slice some pre-cooked tri tip and fry in a pan - you can eat it as it is and for the family you can make a salad with some this tri tip and some dressing.

    Trim the fat? Nonsense. Fatty meats is a big part of the carnivore diet and there was already barely any fat on those tri-tips.

    • @yegortarnakin

      you can do the math and see that 15k cal out of those 22k are from fat 🧐

    • @huntinfishinwithDwayne
      @huntinfishinwithDwayne Год назад +6

      @@yegortarnakin still, why trim the fat at all when the fat is what your body uses as energy? You’re depriving yourself of precious energy. I couldn’t care less about calories. They don’t matter much, on the carnivore way of life, unless you’re trying to bulk. I eat a ton without trimming fat and still losing body fat. It just seams a waist to me. To each their own

    • @yegortarnakin
      @yegortarnakin  Год назад +3

      absolutely agree with. dont f care about calories on carni. eat when you feel hungry. i just always trim excess fat especially from tri tips - it is mostly a habit - this fat doesn't give any flavor and interferes with salt penetration during dry brine. I didn't dry brine them here - but as I say it's a habit. But in fairness i must say that even after 2 years of 99% carnivorish i can get sick of too much fat. i still haven't been able to understand why. And those time i was removing all tallow and rather eat pork lard. It is very popular in russia. Cured pork lard with salt and spices. There is even a smoked pork lard. 100% pure solid fat which i found more digestible for me. @@huntinfishinwithDwayne

    • @huntinfishinwithDwayne
      @huntinfishinwithDwayne Год назад +1

      @@yegortarnakin I’m finding my body react to pork. It makes the my skin feel tingly on my arms. I stick with a little bit of bacon here and there and that doesn’t bother me. It’s when I eat things like pork chops. I may try to fry up some pork fat and see how that goes. I also love smokin meats. May try smoked pork fat.

    • @yegortarnakin
      @yegortarnakin  Год назад +2

      I remember that there we’re tons of somewhat same feedbacks on pork on Reddit from people from US. And they suggested it is a result of meat quality - animal feed, antibiotics and so on.
      But this is really funny - I can eat a lot of pork lard and all is ok but I can eat pound ribeye with huge fat chunk and it brakes the valve almost immediately 😂😂

    Well, i am on keto just for the reson that i didn´t want give up all the weggies and have some varieties more to food. Food prepping is always great idea. I usually have veggies in my fridge that i have cutted so it is fast to make any kind of sallads as i want. Also i never boil less than 5 eggs. I know that those last good as long that i have eaten all. I also prefer to buy big junks of meat and prep on smaller portions for different use. I usually cook about 3 days food at once. But yeas, keeping everything simple and having those flavors what you prefer most helps on to sticking in the diet/lifestyle.

      I hate having to reheat a steak, but it's a fact of life sometimes.
      I use a lower microwave power to reheat my cooked steakd. If I can let it come to room temperature beforehand that's even better.
      I put it on a microwave safe plate or pyrex dish, add a little butter on top, and a tablespoon of water on the plate, then cover with one of those microwave lids that is intended to keep splatter down (I find that those lids also help keep moisture in. Caution removing the lid as you might have some hot steam, that's the idea anyway), and cook at 50% power in 30s increments, rotating and even flipping as needed to cook evenly.
      Good luck.

    Calories? No measure in weight. Calories do not apply to food. Were not a closed thermal system, additionally macros are processed according to biochemical conversions, the impact of this depends per person.
    Measure in weight instead
