You run the ball to take time off the clock & so that you ARE NOT RISKING AN INT. MAYBE & I do say maybe risk a pass IF it's third down & five or six & you have a reasonable chance at getting a first down with a pass. But it also needs to be a "low risk" pass too. The pass Stockton threw that ALMOST LOST THE GAME had to not only be one of the more stupid throws I've ever seen but whoever called that specific play imo was also on the "not too bright" side as well. And as Head Coach, Mr Kirby Smart you have the option to "veto" that play & call something different. Sarkisian & Texas took full advantage of YOUR MISTAKE & it ALMOST costed Georgia another loss in the SEC Championship Game. And if you had been playing a different team, like Alabama, you might have even lost. You had a fairly good running attack. What's the saying? Dance with the one that brung ya? I mean alls well that ends well but IT ALMOST DIDN'T END WELL for Georgia"!
