    Issues on this car was creating clunking noise or steering movement to one direction when pressing breaks or sudden acceleration.
    I replaced a bushing on left control arm from Honda accord. This should be the same process for most cars. Maybe the easy way just to replace control arm set, but I checked other bushings were still good.

    you are right. When u twist the screw, the device will run away from centre and make the rubber damage. Thanks on advice. Need hidrolic pump for bigger bush.

    Before you tighten the bushings you have to jack up the wheel to proper height or else the bushings will fail

    You didn't orientate the bushing correctly, the gaps in the rubber are to allow the control arm to rotate up and down with the suspension, not forward and backward like you suggested.

      Should be both, up/down and left right. There is a dot sign ifnI remember correctly to put on correct position. That matches with the original position

      @@NorCalOutdoor Larger part of the rubber face front and back. Check any photo of a lower control arm.

      @schifoso That makes sense. I should have checked the other side before I put it on. Thank you.

    Don’t you need to jack the rotors up before you tighten the other bushing? That is compressed when the car is levelled

    • @NorCalOutdoor
      @NorCalOutdoor  2 года назад

      Amazon. If you dont want to buy the tool, you can bring the control arm to local shop and ask them to replace the bushing. Usually they only charge you around $15 for one bushing
