Solid work! Very fast, efficient and skillful. Had to laugh that you will never hear that from a supervisor. Wish all mechanics had your skill and attention to detail.
Excellent job, I’m surprised that it needs to be replaced being from a 2019 Oddy. I did the same job but to my much older 07 Honda pilot they, were the original control arms.
Love the video. It's the best one out there for this model. Do you have the torque specs for the bolts? Also, is there a special name for the hook you used? Thanks, keep these coming.....
Thanks for the video! Helpful to see the process end to end. A couple questions: Do you have to check the alignment after? Does Honda specify that the castle nut and bolts should be replaced rather than re-used?
Fantastic video, thank you for making that! I'm ordering parts for this repair and the parts diagram calls the bolts as non-reusable. Watching you video, it seem like you're using more bolts than the parts diagram shows. There is a 16x100mm (90118-SJC-A00) 14x91mm (90161-TZ5-A00) and 14x34mm (90186-TZ5-A00). Parts diagram shows the bolts loose, not connected with a line to where they go, so I'm thinking maybe there's multiple of one type for each side? The short one?
I don't have to worry about that in Southern California. Would it make sense to brush a coating of silicone grease on the rubber bushings at installation?
Bushing was torn about half way through, hard to see when it's out of the vehicle. This was someone else's recs. These bushings getting torn is rather common, I usually don't recommend them unless they are completely torn through
Mine started tearing at 60k miles on my Ridgeline. Seems to be a thing with the Rt side Honda Ridgelines, pilots, and odyssey. My dealership wants $1800 to replace the lower control arm. I'm gonna buy a Toyota instead.
My man I have watched a lot of repair videos and this was by far the most entertaining while also providing the necessary info! 😂

My good man you are my hero for posting this video. As others have stated this is the only resource out there apparently
This is the only video of this I have found. Thank you thank you! Although I’m not nearly as fast as you in the driveway.

You're very efficient Tyler. I like the cut of your jib.
I love these repair videos

Yes alignment gets adjusted after this. These nuts and bolts can certainly be re used unless damage is found.

Quick question. Good job btw. What was the initial tool you used called to pop out the bolt from the brake assy. Thanks. Again solid work.
Ball joint separator, I have a few linked to my link tree website under the "ugga dugga" section 😁👌 linktr.ee/te_videos
@@TEVIDEOS thank you very much loved your video and helped me out as well.
What about the torque values did I miss it somewhere?
Did that control arm really need replacing? Bushing looked intact.
Cracks and tears.. rock salt de icer from winter roads destroys rubber. Dry rot.
Gotta be careful on Colorado roads. Excessive salt on 'em bud.
I don't have to worry about that in Southern California. Would it make sense to brush a coating of silicone grease on the rubber bushings at installation?
@@map7463just enjoy your salt/rust free California there Bud!! 😂😂

Gravy job !

How much just part?
Looks easy, should take me around 10 minutes to complete 🗣️
110% this guy watches letterkenny.
Very good
Great video. Do you have torque specification for tightening bolts?
Just a few ugga duggas there bud....😎..
Yes, is there a torque spec?😊
Easy money lol
New Carter pin? Dont be cheap for like $2 dollars 🤨
The cotter pin is re usable and completely fine. That would be a solid waste of 2 dollars lol
Honda cotter pins do not need to be bent. They slip in and self locks. It’s not the ones you bend…that kind i would not reuse
